Happy February! February’s arrival means we’re one month closer to spring, so I’m at the table with roses, bunnies and Pfaltzgraff Tea Rose dinnerware.
Blooming since 1985, Pfaltzgraff Tea Rose blends the traditional romance of roses with the charm and a touch of the English countryside and is a pattern that continues in popularity.
Carved white chargers with decorative scrolls complement the scalloped edges of the plates, while a patchwork floral quilt provides a soft and old-fashioned foundation as a tablecloth, for the delicate watercolor roses of the Tea Rose dinnerware.
Our temperatures are back in the mid 60s this week and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for an early spring!
I like to use a theme to build a table, inspired by color, a holiday or a season. With thoughts of spring, flowers, and eggs, I hopped straight to Easter, which is falls on March 27th this year, for a little early Easter fun at the table.
I went hunting through my stash of eggs to join a bunny at the table, along with tiered server for an easy centerpiece of decorative eggs and cupcakes.
I found floral paper baking cups with roses to complement the Tea Rose dinnerware.
And I used the two-ingredient cupcake method of baking for a quick and easy batch of cupcakes! Instead of baking in the floral print cups, I used them as decorative sleeves for the cupcakes and added some pastel pearl sprinkles to decorate the frosting.
Alstroemeria blooms, available in bunches for $4 at the grocery store, provide some welcome blooms to the bunny’s basket along with a few Easter egg picks.
Speckled jelly beans fill Tea Rose mugs on the centerpiece . . .
And Tea Rose All Purpose Stemless Wine Glasses provided some additional flowers for the table.
A Rustic Floral Hurricane is available in the Tea Rose pattern.
And I used white rustic ceramic napkin rings to marry the antique white ceramic base of the hurricane.

Hi Mary, The Pantone color of the year is actually the two colors of rose quartz and blue serenity used together to create “tranquility and inner peace” and this beautiful and dainty pattern is the perfect illustration of how well those two colors work together! During this kind of brown, dusty, lukewarm winter up here I am ready for the pretty colors of spring and eggs and bunnies too. I think I will go on an egg hunt for your cute musical chicks egg today! Mary, your blog is my happy place. Love to see what you have in store for us everyday. Really enjoyed your spring Easter table. We are first time grandparents and our 3 year old granddaughter loves to have ‘teas’ with her musical tea pot and plastic tea cakes. Just purchased a Bordallo Pinheira tea pot with matching frog demitasse cups and I have a mish mash of pretty salad plates and serving pieces with rabbits, frogs and mice. So this weekend Mommy and Daddy will join us for her first ‘real tea’. I take my inspiration from your beautiful tablescape’s and book’s (like the fairies (bought two of the pop ups for her after your potting shed blog) So excited, she loves to put on her apron and help peel eggs and make cut out cookies, should be lots of fun. Please keep up your wonderful blogs, its so much fun to view and read. And, the photos of Gracie and Chole just put a smile on my face, their adorable!!!

I did a little Spring/Easter retail therapy today and got some cute things! This pattern reminds me so much of my Grandmothers dishes. Your quilt is the perfect background and the astromeria blooms are beautiful. I actually looked at some at the grocery today and ours are $7.99 for a buch of 7 stems! Love that bunny, but then I love all your bunnies. I still have the snowmen out but plan to get most away this week. Have a beautiful evening!!!
Such a cheerful post. I am itching for spring but the truth is we haven’ t had much winter so I’m afraid to get my hopes up. Such a sweet serene dish pattern and you showed it beautifully on the quilt with so many cute bunnies and the darling floral cupcakes holders. The cupcake recipe I will remember because I am lazy. Adding the pastel pearls and putting them in the floral holders looks like you really fussed.

Love the beautiful tea rose dinnerware as well as the bunnies and Easter theme. It’s hard to believe Easter will be early on March 27th. Ready for spring especially since the temperatures here have warmed up and the weather forecasters are calling for thunderstorms tomorrow.
