Happy Howl-oween and Frozen Pumpkin Dog Treats

Howl-oween is all about the treats!

Chloe and Gracie wanted to share a new favorite homemade treat that’s dog gone easy!

Gracie says they’re lip-smacking good and healthy too.

These treats contain just two ingredients to make (three, if you count water). . .

These Howl-oween dog treats are made with pumpkin. The fiber in canned pumpkin has proven to benefit dogs’ digestive tracts. Chloe and Gracie recently switched to a new food due to allergies and a little canned pumpkin was recommended to aid in their food transition. Pumpkin is also packed with vitamins A and C, helping to support both vision and immune health in dogs.

No cauldron bubbling or brewing for these Howl-oween treats, just a blender and some silicone molds or ice cube trays! I found pumpkin and bone silicone molds on clearance at Michaels for 60% off among the other Halloween baking supplies. Fun for baking, candy making and freezer safe.

Easy Frozen Pumpkin Dog Treats

Makes about 3 dozen 1-inch frozen treats

Ingredients

1 cup *plain Greek or plain regular yogurt (*plain only, make sure your yogurt does not contain artificial sweeteners which harmful to dogs or added sugars, which they don’t need)

1 cup canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)

1 /4 cup (more or less) water to thin to consistency for easy blending

Place ingredients in blender, blending until pureed and desired consistency. Pour mixture into silicone molds or ice cube trays. Place in freezer until solid and pop out for a frozen dog treat. Like all dog treats, give in moderation.

Beware, these treats may cause ghostly white apparitions to lurk nearby. . .

And your pups will be begging for more. . .

😂 Happy Howl-o-ween Mary, Chloe and Gracie! The girls look extra fluffy and white today! Those longing faces, the pumpkin frozen yogurt treats must really be good!! The collars are so cute, shoot, everything is so cute!! I am going to see the unveiling of my little trick or treaters at 5 o’clock when Skellie & I go over to my daughters house. She won’t tell me what they are going to be so I am going to embarrass her by parking in front of her house with a skeleton sitting in my car 👻 🎃

Happy Halloween to those two little pumpkin eaters! I’ll have to make a batch of these for Sadie. She gets an evening meal of pumpkin, carrots, and broccoli each evening. I know she would like these!
It’s cold and wet here this Halloween, so we are snuggled in by a cozy fire. Didn’t even put Sadie’s Halloween collar on today, and I can’t find her Halloween sweater.
    Happy Halloween!
