Mother Nature hasn’t gotten the ‘fall memo’ yet and we have several more weeks of summer weather ahead of us in North Carolina. It will a least a month or more before our Autumn Blaze Maple ‘blazes’ with fall color.
Fall is a great time to plant spring and summer perennials in your garden, as it gives them time to develop a strong root system before the blooming season.

Always feel sad to say good -bye to summer as they are so short in Michigan, never enough beach time, lol, but you can’t deny the beauty of Fall and the fun of bon fires, apple cider and fresh donuts and our wonderful pumpkins. We are ready for Fall here in Louisiana…but temps are still in the 90’s! Fall comes, dragging her feet, stays for a week or two and gives way to more ‘summer’ temps…just cannot seem to make up her mind…but we do decorate with gusto down here under the pretense that the temps are reflecting the season:) Fall is wonderful in the deep South…
