Very cute Mary! I love the little eyes looking up at you from each cup! The last time I was at Target they didn’t have the Halloween stuff out… Guess where I’m headed tomorrow:@)

  2. October 11, 2013 at 6:31 am

I played with the Wilton Candy Eyes this week too! Love the eyes peeking up at you. xo

Such a beautiful and fun Halloween table. Love the creepy hands holding your fun Carmel apples and felt pumpkins. Great black pumpkin too!

  4. October 11, 2013 at 7:12 am

Your collection of stuff amazes me. Always you have just the right thing for whatever table you’re doing. Dish towels are often in better patterns/colors than napkins and are very handy substitutes.

  5. October 11, 2013 at 7:15 am

I love black and white … with the splashes of orange and that great Trick or Treat Centerpiece —- ready for Halloween!

  6. October 11, 2013 at 7:39 am

Love the black pumpkin and the dish clothes!

Good morning, Mary, Loved the tablescape, very creative. Love the idea of using dishtowels for napkins.

  14. October 11, 2013 at 8:49 am

Hi Mary, This is a great halloween table and without a single halloween themed plate in sight! This pattern is wonderful and so versatile. I must get some of those eyes and stick them on all the goodies in my house, in hopes that I won’t be able to eat something that is “looking” at me. Linda

  15. October 11, 2013 at 8:52 am

Great table! Those cups of goodies look very tempting, and I love the skeletal hands. I’ll have to look for those eyeballs, I’m heading to the cake decorating shop this morning.

I love it. I like that you don’t make it all “kiddie” or gruesome. This is a classy table for all ages!

  19. October 11, 2013 at 9:32 am

No need for trick or treating at this table, you have provided all the treats! That big fat black pumpkin looks adorable on the orange wreath atop your urn~and I love the way you have set the plates at different angles on the octagon chargers. 4 pack dish cloths make great napkins with your black and white checked cloth, and those hands do look less creepy with your felted pumpkins and apple sprinkled treats. I don’t like Halloween gruesome, but I just love Halloween sweet, like this table! Thanks for the eye candy, I’m off to find some chocolate!

    Hi Mary,

Did you find the skeletal hands at Target this year? I have looked everywhere for some but none to be found at Target or anywhere else so far. If you have seen them anywhere please let me know. The table is wonderful and I love the black and white tablecloth from Kohl’s too. Thanks for your help.

    • October 11, 2013 at 10:51 am

Thanks Sandi! No the hands came from Target several years ago, they were sold as votive holders. I’ve seen the servers several places this year but not the holders. If I run across them I’ll let you know :)

  21. October 11, 2013 at 11:33 am

Oh Mary, what a very special Halloween Tablescape. Everything is perfect.
Thanks so much for sharing with us.

  22. October 11, 2013 at 11:36 am

I have a question regarding your tea towels as napkins. What are the dimensions? I have a set that would be fabulous for Halloween, but I’m wondering how big is too big. Mine are 18″ x 28.” Thanks!

    • October 11, 2013 at 11:47 am

Hi Pattie, My dish towels are 16 x 28, folded to 6 x 14, they hang off the table :)

  23. October 11, 2013 at 1:51 pm

  29. October 12, 2013 at 12:53 am

Mary, no one does a festive table better than you, my friend. This is so cute — I love it!! I really like your black and white checked tablecloth (it reminds me of my kitchen curtains). :) Your centerpiece is great, and HomeGoods is my favorite haunt, too. :-D I love the way you’ve stacked your plates, and the flatware is lovely. The spooky candy is so cute, and so are the skeleton hands with the burlap pumpkins. Thanks for sharing the Halloween treat recipes; they look like real winners!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Mary!

    Hugs,

    Denise

Those apples would thrill any child or adult for that matter! They are so attractive. I have fond memories of treat or treating and going to my teachers home where she always had a huge tray of candied apples.

Your table is so festive and fun and super creative as usual.

  31. October 12, 2013 at 8:09 pm

Mary, your tablescape is so darn fun! Love the decorated apples along with those little felt pumpkins in the skeletal hands! How fun it would be to dine at your table beside the lake!

You can make spooky and creepy elegant!!! Love the pumpkin message!!!

  42. October 16, 2013 at 9:58 pm

As always, Mary, your table is fantastic…so festive and pretty. I have the pumpkin from home goods as well but mine is the ivory with black lettering…really enjoying moving it from vignette to vignette.

  43. October 17, 2013 at 8:56 am

I love this, it looks great for Halloween without being too spooky. I like that you can use items you might already have like black and white dinner ware. Happy Halloween!

  54. October 24, 2013 at 12:35 am

Another adorable table, Mary. The centerpiece is a clever way to set the stage of this table with all the treats. Of course, the black and white theme with a touch of Halloween orange makes me smile. The selection of dish towels are the perfect addition. I find myself buying dish towels more and more for use as napkins.

Oh how adorable and clever. I loved everything about this table. What a clever way to use a pumpkin to give “directions” I just loved it!

  58. October 8, 2015 at 4:09 pm

Cute as ever, Mary! I picked up packages of Halloween kitchen towels at HG recently to use as napkins. It’s a fun touch, and they make great napkins. I missed those cute felted pumpkins at Target. Did you find them this year? If so, what section? I’ll make a Target run tomorrow. ;-)
    Happy Treating!
