Hopping into Spring Tablescape and Blog Hop!

Happy first day of Spring! I’m joining a group of talented bloggers and hopping into Spring with a Spring Tablescape Blog Hop!

Look for the links at the bottom of this post for more spring table inspiration this week through March 24th.

Cabbage leaf plates and chargers are making the transition from St. Patrick’s Day, and hopping into spring, with the addition of floral bunny salad plates!

This set of 4 assorted floral bunny salad plates from HomeGoods hopped into my cart a couple of weeks ago.

After last week’s cold snap and freezing temperatures, we’re back to enjoying some spring weather with 60 and 70 degree temperatures this week, perfect weather for dining on the porch! A yellow and pink Cynthia Rowley floral tablecloth provides some spring blooms and a cheery foundation to pair with the floral bunny plates.

I cut some camellias, plum tree blossoms and foliage from the shrubs to add to some flowers from the grocery store for a Cabbage Floral Centerpiece for the table.

You can find the method and easy short cut to make a cabbage floral centerpiece, here.

Green and white check napkins are layered with lace-trimmed natural linen napkins and paired with a blooming napkin rings.

Portmeirion Botanic Garden flatware provides some additional blooms.

Bunnies and eggs go together like flowers and spring, so glittery pastel eggs are nesting in floral egg cups at the table.

Plum blossoms added to mums in cabbage leaf bowls from last week’s table, add a touch of pink and fresh spring blooms to the table.

Ok here is my idea. You could take clear plates cut out the bunny pattern and Mod Podge it on back of clear dishes.. Would look the same but could match you table cloths. Could get napkins to match and do or even solid colors would work. This could be done each holiday. Cheap clear plates salad plates or bowls. No you can dishwasher them hand wash. But much cheaper than buying them done already. Just my idea. Did this back in the 70’s. “What is the saying what is old is new again.”
