Rowena picked up a Halloween cookie house kit she spied at the grocery store.
She loved the Dia De Los Muertos, aka, Day of the Dead, themed house from Bakery Bling.

The kit came with chocolate cookie house pieces, royal icing, sprinkles, decorative candies,
sparkling sugar and 3-D royal icing decor pieces.

Rowena doesn’t have the dexterity she used to have in her boney fingers, but she thought
she could assemble it easily enough, as it came with a form to attach the cookie pieces to.
She followed directions on the box exercising a little creativity . . .

She had some chocolate skeletons that she attached
to the sides of the house with royal icing.

She placed the house on a cake plate and added some additional candy . . .
candy corn (Rod’s favorite!) and some jelly pumpkins.

Rod and Rowena are enjoying a little porch time with the delightful fall temperatures!

Rod has quite the sweet tooth, so Rowena picked up more favorite Halloween treats for him to enjoy,
including Kit Kat Breaking Bones. . .

Along with miniature Reese’s peanut butter cups and Sugar Skull Cookies.

There are plenty of treats to share with some old friends in the neighborhood
who will be dropping by later . . .

Assembling the Bakery Bling Cookie House, inspired Rowena to break out her own bling
and brand new skellie earrings and headband!

Rowena’s afraid she’ll have to make another trip to the grocery store
for more Halloween candy for Trick or Treaters
as Rod can’t keep his boney fingers out of it.

I love love love the skeletons climbing up your house! I added two skeletons to my decorations this year. I have had a talking witch for many years but decided the new puppy would go crazy seeing her so she is on vacation this year. I so enjoy your stories! Happy Fall.
Really enjoyed this post 😂 Even my husband laughed when I showed him the pictures!
Thanks for starting my day with smiles and laughter! Just perfect after the full moon night!!!
Who knew Rowena was into crafting? Lover her blinged scarf.
Oh my goodness!!! Such a fun post!! I always get a kick out of Rod and Rowena!! The skeletons climbing up the front of the house is a hoot!!! Love it Mary!!🎃👻🧡🖤
Totally Spooktacular, you never fail to brighten our day with such creative whimsey. May each of your 13 days before Halloween be filled with similar light heated Joy.
Rod and Rowena have too much fun. Love their cute little skelly house. Such a darling project with colors galore. You go all out for Halloween and I absolutely love it. So much creativity can be found in all of your posts. Enjoy these last days until Halloween.🎃👻💀
I have a friend who invites her grandchildren over the week before Christmas, serves them lunch, and then gives each one of them a gingerbread house kit to assemble. I have never seen a house for Halloween/Muertos, but I love it! It really turned out beautifully, didn’t it? And the way it’s presented in that tray with all of the beautiful Halloween candy, takes it over the top. The skeletons climbing on the house are another thing I really like. You’ve inspired me here.
Mary, love the Halloween house! I’m going to be on the lookout for something similar!! Rod and Rowena are quite the blinged out couple! So fun!! And I understand Rods addiction to Halloween candy! I buy candy as soon as the stores have it, but somehow I have to buy more for actual trick or treaters!!
Happy Halloween season!
What a fun Post!!!!! Rowena is rocking her bling and headband!!! And the skeletons climbing -Ha Ha Ha – What mischief!

These two know how to “cook” up some fun! Darling, spooky house. I love the lawn of corn and pumpkins. Rowena looks dazzling! No wonder all that skellies are crawling all over the house. Rod better watch out!

Rowena did a superb decorating job on her house! I’m so impressed, and with her new earrings and headbands. I haven’t even bought my candy yet but I’d better soon. I hope Rod enjoys all the special treats on the tray.
Helloooo Mary ~ well whenever I see that the Skellies are involved in your post, I get excited bc I adore Rod and Rowena and their antics. I must say that Rowena did an faboolous job decorating the Dia de la Muertos house. It’s so colorful and original. I haven’t seen one up here in CT. Happy Halloween!
Hi Sherry, It’s my neighbor’s house. It’s called ‘beef netting’. Amazon sells it, HERE, but it looks like it arrives after Halloween.
