Tea time is such a lovely ritual to enjoy during a crisp, beautiful spring morning or cold, wintry afternoon!
And my favorite tea time delight is to enjoy it with a delicious ginger scone or two!

This is a really nice giveaway and informative post, Mary. I converted to tea almost exclusively last year when I found Yogi brand Tangerine tea. It is great both hot and cold. While I pinned the photo of the book, I added that black matte teapot to my shopping list. I love the bluetooth features and wow, it’s 1200 watts, more than my microwave! And those teacups are a really great price of just $6 each. I have several teapots to make presentation beautiful, but in the end, it’s all about functionality and personal taste. I really enjoy your tea series with Pam and your invited guests, and how you make such a beautiful ritual of the pleasure of tea.

You made me realize I should use my teacups more instead of a mug. Take the time to boil water instead of using the microwave. Tea time should be a time to relax My favorite tea has to be Earl Grey with a buttery fruit scone.

What a lovely book, Mary, and such beautiful photos. Tea has always been the beverage of choice and now I still pause every afternoon for a cup of tea and savor some quiet moments. 22. February 5, 2026 at 8:27 am

I am a long time coffee lover, actually an addict. But in the winter, at about 4:00, I love to cozy up to the fireplace with a delicate mug of tea, in my cozy socks, with Alexa playing instrumental jazz, and read a good book. Don’t you just want to join me?

    February 5, 2026 at 8:31 am

Mary, thank you for this beautiful blog post! Victoria Magazine often publishes tea scapes and recipes. My all time favorite cucumber sandwich is a tattered page from one of their magazines. I have just come down with the local cold bug and tazo green ginger has risen to the top of my canister. I usually enjoy it iced in the summer. My winter favorites are both stash teas…double bergamot earl gray for afternoon sips and peppermint at night. I must now get the double bergamot earl gray decaffeinated…doctors orders, and stash offers it loose! We have a local tea and spice company so I have forgone my mom and grandmas china tea cups for their stone ware mug with tilt and tip strainer and a lid!

  25. Debbie
    February 5, 2026 at 8:51 am

The Laura Ashley teapot is pretty. The silver tea strainer spoon is gorgeous. I love a dainty sandwich but cheese straws are a favorite. My granddaughter wants a tea party every single time she comes to our house. She likes cookies and crackers with little pepperonis – ha!

This is such a lovely giveaway, Mary!
I believe I am a teaaholic with an intense, passionate love for tea. I start my day every morning with English Breakfast. Though I do adore a scone with my tea, because of the waistline, I cannot indulge in one every day.
I have been a longtime follower and subscriber.

  28. February 5, 2026 at 9:09 am

My favorite tea is Harney and Sons cinnamon stick. it is strongly cinnamon, and almost tastes like dessert. I’d recommend it to you except I recommend it to my aunt and it was two cinnamony for her so she gave the rest to me, which isn’t totally bad, is it? I also enjoy tart cherry scones that I make. I use dried cherries and honestly these are the best scones I have ever tasted.

Tea time is my favorite time. I just loved your post. I never knew there were so many accessories available for tea. I do have the tea strainer you posted. It’s a game changer for making a pot with loose tea. My favorite tea is a tea name Tea room. It’s just a lovely blend. Perfect! Now to go with it, there nothing like a good scone, although I made your Almond Dove sugar cookies the other day and they were exceptional. I made heart shaped ones. The Best recipe, easy to make and roll out. It will be my go to from now on. Thank you!!!

I have 3 favorite teas. The first one is Holiday Tea by G.H. Ford. Perfect blend of apples, oranges, cinnamon, and cloves blended with Chinese Keemun tea. I would fix my son a thermos of Holiday Tea for his hunting trips. The second favorite is Chocolate Mint by Harney and Sons. I would fix that when I would be craving a late-night snack. The third favorite is Apricot Tea by Ashby’s. Which is a blend of ripe apricots with China Black Keemun tea. This one is my anytime tea.

Thank you for your cozy post this morning (especially as we woke up to a drippy fog and chilling temps!) My go to tea is Earl Grey, especially Stash brand, Morning in Paris, which adds a bit of bergamot & lavender to the mix. I love the book profiled and if I win will be gifting it to my sister as she is a tea lover and loves Victoria magazine. Oh, Mary! I am sitting here with goosebumps. What a fantastic and generous giveaway. Oh my word. Well that book is so full of stunning pics it is mind-boggling! And those teas sound incredible!!!! WOW, yes ma’am, please count me in! In this post I first pinned your pretty stack of floral teacups on that beautiful floral tablecloth – to remind me amidst all this snow and cold that spring will come. Sometimes we just need to visually make it so. ♥

I am a long time subscriber of course, and my fav tea treat? Well my very fav is H and S “Paris.” With it my fav tea treat is a scone or shortbread cookie. With a straight-forward unflavored black tea my fav treat with it is lemon bread. And I stopped making it after I tried Aldi’s sliced lemon cake/bread. It is so moist and delicious and can’t make it for that price. HIGHLY recommend if you have an Aldi’s anywhere near you. Thank you for the giveaway!!!!

There is nothing as heart warming as sharing tea with a friend or two. A cup of Earl Grey and a cucumber sandwich are my favorites. Victoria magazine has been a favorite of mine for years, the pictures and the recipes are wonderful. Thank you for your pictures and recipes also, I have tried many of your recipes and loved them all! Your blog is already posted on my Pinterest page.

On a long winter afternoon I like a pot of Lapsang Suchong tea with home made white chocolate/orange scones. I found the recipe years ago in a magazine and fortunately hand copied it into my recipe book, the magazine is long gone and I do not remember what it was. Lapsang Suchong is my favorite tea for winter, smoky and deep, great for a quiet contemplative afternoon.

Mary, again a lovely post. Pictures are so pretty. They make me want to have friends over soon. I love sitting in the late afternoon with a cup of Orange Pekoe tea and a slice of walnut loaf and cream cheese. If I am lucky my break may coincide with the birds at my feeder late in the afternoon. I pinned the picture from the book of the History of Tea. Would love to learn more about the origins of the tea rituals

Think the post has inspired me to bake today. Going to be a brutal weekend here in Virginia. Tea and some treats will be just the break my husband and I need.

HI Mary, I enjoyed this post very much. Some of the pics from the book made me start to dream of spring and tea on the patio, so I pinned the photo of the candelabra on the garden wall. I am going to do that when my dearest old friend comes for tea. I love making the extra effort for a special tea time! My favorite tea is chai and I enjoy a fruity cookie with it. This winter it has been date and nut pinwheel cookies, but soon I will be craving the bright citrus flavors of spring!
    Thank you!

My favorite time to drink tea is in the midafternoon in the winter with a cookie or two–Earl Gray most often. Very warming and comforting.

Mary, like the White Rabbit, I’m late to the party! I did stop by earlier, but life here as been busy away from my computer, and I didn’t finish my comment. As always, your posts bring such inspiration and joy tomy days. I never tire of your beautiful photos and the way you generously share your creativity. The book is lovely, and just the sight of it had me pulling down my small collection of tea time books. I need to add this one. I have their earlier edition, Celebrating Tea. My favorite tea has long been Marco Polo by Mariage Freres and a favorite tea time treat would be a lemon tart. I do like to try other flavors of tea, and a favorite autumn and winter tea is Harney & Son’s Hot Cinnamon Sunset. I bought Harney & Son’s Valentine’s Day tea recently. It’s a chocolate tea with rosebuds. I have to say the strong chocolate aroma is a bit much for me, but the tea does is pleasant. The tin is pretty! Have you tried it?
    Happy Valentine’s Day!

Hi Mary! This blog is so timely! I lost my husband two years and I’m finally coming up for air and planning a tea party for my 5 dearest friends who helped and supported me through this life changing journey. As usual, your blog is so beautiful and full of great tips and products. I actually love Plum Deluxes Toasted Marshmallow tea. It is delicious without need of honey or cream and I own a tea bag buddy! It’s such an easy way to steep your tea, while keeping it warm and easy to squeeze the tea bag and toss without drips or burning your fingers. I have pinned a photo. Thank you for aways brightening my day, Jane

Hot Earl Grey and a biscotti! Although, we remember my mom with tea and a Krispy Kreme doughnut on her birthday as they were her favorite!

Love everything about this post ! LOVE teatime – at home everyday, with friends on our screen porch, or on trips. My favorite treat would be scones with clotted cream and jam. And Lady Grey tea is my favorite. I buy tea cups at yard sales and thrift shops so that when I host a tea your tea cup is your favor to take home. Tea – love it ! Thanks for the opportunity to win this great tea prize!

Lovely post! I don’t drink hot tea often enough, probably because I live in such a warm climate, Savannah, Ga. For the last several years I have been buying Moomin teas from Finland when I visit my son there. They come in a variety of flavors with delightful names. I like to sip a big hot mug at home and savor a cookie or two if I have any. Then I wonder why I don’t do it more often! Would love to see the tea book to get more inspiration. Love all your recipes too!

Long time subscriber here. My grandmother was born in the 1800’s. She had a mystery pantry that held green tea. I like rooibus tea. I have to have that silicone cap to hold the tea bag string. I also buy coffee in tea bags. What a convenience.

    Hello Mary,

I have followed you for years. For some reason lately when I open your posts on my email I get a blank square instead of the picture. I cannot have this….you are one of my if not my favorite posts to read…lol!

Do you have any insight on what I can do to remedy this? If you\’re as stumped as I am I will check with Apple but I thought possibly you might have a suggestion on how to fix this.

I have restarted my computer and cleared my cookies but to no avail.

Thanks Mary….I cannot wait to get back on board!
