Cupid’s Mix: Valentine’s Day Popcorn

Cupid's Mix Popcorn

Cupid’s Mix Popcorn is a sweet & salty treat

for Valentine’s Day~ ideal for snacking & sharing

with your family or co-workers!

Cupid’s Mix Popcorn! A love-inducing mixture and sweet & salty treat for Valentine’s Day! | homeiswheretheboatis.net

This highly addictive mix is quick and easy to throw together, using popcorn, candy coating or almond bark, and your favorite combination of pretzels, nuts and candy.

You can use almond bark, white chocolate chips, or candy melts. I like CandiQuik for the convenience of the blocks of bark and the microwave disposable tray.

No recipe required for this sweet and salty treat!

Pop your corn using your preferred method and mix with your candy coating. As a guideline, for 5 – 6 cups of popcorn I use a 16 ounce package of candy coating/ almond bark. You can adjust your candy coating-to-popcorn ratio to your taste.

Melt candy coating according to package directions and toss in a large bowl with your popcorn. Mix until coated and spread popcorn on wax paper or parchment lined baking sheet(s) to cool and set.

Sprinkle some Valentine nonpareils on the white chocolate coated popcorn while the coating is still warm.

Once your popcorn is set (about 15- 20 minutes), break into pieces. Stir in nuts,  pretzels and candy of choice.

I highly recommend the love-inducing mix

of red, pink, and white M&M’s :)

Serve in snack cups or package up in treat bags for gift giving.

Store the remainder in an airtight container or jar and enjoy! You can adjust this blend for any holiday or occasion.

Hi Jeanne, There are several brands of almond bark. Walmart sells Plymouth Pantry Almond Bark, it all works equally well :)

This would be fun to make for my granddaughter’s next sleepover! Fill ’em full of sugar and then send ’em back to the parent who gave you so much trouble as a child! :-) :-) :-)

We want to make this for our Love Banquet at church. I love the little containers but can’t find them anywhere. Can you tell me where you purchased these?

    • January 10, 2017 at 6:43 pm

I found them at Target. You might check Michaels and/or Hobby Lobby for Valentine’s cups too :)
