Hi Mary! Once again, a home run on your Halloween blog! I can’t wait to retire to be able to do a fraction of what you do for your posts!!! My favorite Halloween candy is a Heath bar. My children were allergic to nuts, so I would have to go through their “stash” after trick-or-treating and take out anything containing nuts. For some reason, but probably a good thing, is that there were never very many Heath bars!

Wow, I see I am putting my name into the “hat” with a great many others! As always your post was a visual treat and I would love to win. My favorite Halloween treat is a Mr. Goodbar. There is just something about peanuts and chocolate. I give out large size candy bars to the Trick or Treat-ers, but resist getting Mr. Goodbars, simply because I would want to eat too many! In the past few years, I would say that my Halloween visitors usually go first for good old Hershey candy bars or Peanut Butter Cups. Thank you for sharing with all of us. MM

    Happy Autumn…
Who can resist the iconic Candy Corn ?! Not only does the first sight of the yellow and orange signify Fall but then the sweet smell that we all relate to trick or treat fun grabs you. How versatile the candy corn is…home decor, accent on treats and of course the main ingredient in home made Butterfinger Bars. Love opening each of your monthly emails as well as sharing the ideas on Pinterest.

  161. September 21, 2016 at 7:54 am

No one feels witchy better than you Mary, and I am simply bewitched with your generous giveaway and all the potions from the past! I too am feeling witchy this week and hope to spend some time dusting off my witch wardrobe and perhaps conjuring up something new ! My witchy needs are simple, just some dark chocolate and perhaps a cupcake please, but keep that nasty candy corn away from me! Psst, I saw some new candy corn flavors and colors at Target the other day, I wonder if it’s any better…I will be pinning away and revisiting posts from the past for inspirations!

  208. September 23, 2016 at 11:54 pm

Oh my spookiness, isn’t this the most wonderful Halloween inspiration EVER???!!!! Funny, just yesterday at lunch my daughter and I were discussing the annual Pumpkin Carving Halloween Party – an annual event I hosted ever since my kids were little, and now taken over by my daughter (theone who just had her first baby) ….and she said in our high 80s hot and humid day – “Mom, do you think it is too early to decorate for Halloween?” I laughed, because my sister had just texted me some pics of HER front yard Halloween decorations………..so, in our family, guess not, huh?!?

Please enter my name – because there aren’t many families who go all out crazy like my people do. Except perhaps YOU – seeing this amazing post!

Thank you for this generous giveaway – it’s so much fun, and is greatly appreciated.

    • September 23, 2016 at 11:56 pm

Oops – forgot to tell you my all time favorite Halloween candy are Reese’s cups. My sister (the one I just mentioned already has her house completely decorated) has 4 children, and when they were little and went trick or treating they would ALWAYS save a few Reese’s for their Aunt Shell! Now they are teens so they don’t ToT anymore, but every once in a while they will visit and bring me a Reese’s – remembering how crazy I am about that candy!

When I was a little girl we’d get corn syrup made popcorn balls, I LOVED them, but they aren’t given anymore – still another one of my Halloween favs. ♥

Wow first time ever on your site. You are one talented Chica!! We are an active duty Air Force family so having the constant home is not an option yet (coming soon, Retirement, yay) but I still can display my antiques pretty nicely. Carol in Texas . . . . . for now.

Every Halloween my friends and I celebrate with a Diva Witches Dinner party. We get into the spirit of the season by donning seasonal garb including our hats. The menu includes cauldrons and pumpkins filled with fall favorites, black lacquered trays of delicious treats. We will be sure to incorporate many of your ideas into this year’s party. Some of our favorite treats our Magic cookie bars, mozzarella finger sticks with a side of blood red dipping sauce, Jell-O shot eyeballs and candy of all sorts including Reese Cups, Hershey bars, candy corn and pumpkin mallo creams.

My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary and moved into our new home. We will be hosting our first party- Halloween Housewarming ! My Mom who introduced me to your blog gave my a copy of the magazine featuring your “bewitching” ideas which I will be incorporating into our party. My husband’s favorite treats are Reese’s pieces and Gummi Bears. As for me, I enjoy most candy , but my favorite is a hometown favorite- Gertrude Hawks peanut butter Smidgens. Yummy!!!
    Thank you and Happy Halloween!!!

Tee hee hee – I needed a spell just to get to the bottom of all of the comments! I love that you have so much fun at Halloween too! We have a lot of the same fun items! I just got the Witches and Warlocks Cauldron this year too! Love it.
We have already been enjoying Halloween treats at our house. My sister and her husband were arriving on Tuesday for a BYU football game last night and so the house had to be decorated before she came – I filled a huge jar that takes a whole Costco mini candy bar bag and it is half eaten already – I am not the only one who has been digging their little paw in! I love that everyone is already enjoying the candy. What a fun little witch you are! Thanks for the giveaway!

I am certainly enjoying the cool weather, beautiful colors, pumpkins everywhere, and of course the fall festival where we can taste all the fall flavers. My grandkids got so excited about Halloween when I showed them your fun posts. Now they want to scare up a batch of wickedly delicious goodies in the kitchen. Thanks for the great giveaway.
