Saying Goodbye to the Dog of My Heart

This has been the most difficult post I’ve had to write. We lost our Chloe two weeks ago. While you’re never prepared to lose a dog, it took us by surprise.

She had a big heart as evidenced by her X-ray, and an even bigger personality.

She was oh-so-needy and neurotic. . .

Always hungry, she was my camera hound, ready to pose for a photo with the promise of a treat.

432981C0-0210-44D3-BD80-08171D7CC2DB

She was an ‘I wanna go on a walk /boat ride NOW’ impatient, outdoor enthusiast. . .

And wonderful, loving dog of our hearts.

She was always following me around the house, demanding attention or food. . .

And ready to sneak a bite of something when I wasn’t looking.

The house is so quiet without her.

We are heartbroken and weepy. . .

And Gracie is sad and lost without her shadow and twin.

Chloe, We wish we had more time with you. . .

May you always have blue water views. . .

Birds to watch. . .

A lap to ride in. . .

Wind in your ears . . .

A companion to curl up with . . .

Toys to play with. . .

Sunset cruises. . .

And treats to enjoy.

Thank you for loving us and making us laugh.

We miss you.

“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”

      Hi
I also lost my Molly she was a bichon as well. She was by my side for 17 years, and went everywhere with me.
She loved the car and people as well as her furry friends. I too am a professional photographer and during the summer I’d teach black and white photography at an overnight camp in New Hampshire. She’d come with me and never was leashed. All the campers loved her and the kids came and took her everywhere.
My camp neighbor had 2 dogs and Molly would go over every chance she could to say hi and play.

We lost her 6 years ago and I’m just now looking to adopt another dog.

Your post just brought back so many wonderful memories for me.

      Thank you
      Keith

Dear Keith, I can almost understand you. I had cats and when I lost them I know the feelings. But I never stayed without cat… I always had a new one… Of course none of them are being forgotten, every cat (as your dogs) had her/his character and memories with us… We live with them all togehter. Even they know once there was a cat here… I haven’t known that you take photographs, I am too but not professional one… If you wish you can visit my blog, I can send you an invitation. Thank you, have a nice Spring days, Love, nia

What a beautiful post. Makes me cry. I’m just so sorry for you all. I know she has the blue water views, birds in the sky, wind in her ears, beautiful sunsets, plenty of treats and toys, and Gui’s lap to sit in. You were and still are the people of her heart.

Have been there before…..don’t wish it on anyone. But wait! Maybe I do! Because it means you gave a little creature a home, shared so much time and love together! You were blessed with a very special personality and have so many happy memories and photos! It’s so very hard but that’s the sign of having been so very blessed! I am sad for you because I know how you feel. But I was always happy for you because I so enjoyed your photos of your sweet pups! Your heart will heal. Enjoy your wonderful memories and your other little pup.😘

We all know she had the best life you could have ever given her and was loved so much. What more can a dog ask for? Take comfort in knowing she has crossed the rainbow bridge and is happy and at peace.

So extremely sorry for the loss of your precious furbaby. Your truly in my thoughts and prayers, for I know the loss, the ache, the grief, the lonesomeness and the oddly new normal of losing a loving furry family member 😞 I believe with my whole heart our furbabies are waiting for us in heaven. Animals were the first creatures our loving, awesome Father created. He also saved more animals during the flood, than humans.
Psalms 36:6 days…..”Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.”
This is my verse of comfort. Rainbow Bridge is just the waiting room until we are all reunited.
May your memories become beautiful treasures and your treasures become your comfort.

    Be Blessed

Breaks my heart to read this post, I follow your blogs and my favorite part is Chloe and Gracie. We have two English Springers and a Gracie too and your heartache is a grim reminder that this is before us as well. I have heard it said many times that maybe your Chloe moved on so that another pup could know and share your love. What a lucky girl she was to have been loved by you two, and vice versa.

No words can comfort you..this was a beautiful tribute!! I read through tears..pets are our children and some are better than children, my kids used to say that I treated the dog better than I did them (this was long after they were gone from home)… my answer was always that I always knew where the dog was, I didn’t have to pay for their college, I could have them fixed, she didn’t want to borrow my clothes or car and she obeyed! You know, if no one else is glad to see you, the dog always is!! They have unconditional love..they don’t care about your politics, religion, color, fat or skinny..they just love you and all you have to do is love them back..my concern now is for the other little one..hope she gets along without her buddy..and you too!! My heart goes out to you! ❤️😢

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. IAM a Hugh animal lover and love dogs . Our beloved Golden Retriver passed away last year. I know how your heart is broken . Yes our other Golden missed him so much as well as we did. He was only 6 years old…not that old at all. We rescused him when he was 2 . Yes we did get another one but no dog can ever take another dogs place or place in your heart. We love both of our dogs dearly. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.

  68. February 19, 2018 at 8:19 am

I am so sorry for your loss. People often say that dogs should live as long as we do. I believe that they are a special gift and their short time with us teaches us more about compassion and love than we could learn in a lifetime. I suppose it’s meant to be that way. It doesn’t make it any easier but there are times that I look at my aging, yet still crazy as can be, Golden and in that moment, he fills my heart with such happiness and content that I realize this truly is a gift meant to be enjoyed for a short time. They are far too special to last a lifetime. A beautiful post and touching photos, thank you…

Oh Mary, I am sorry, I feel your pain. The lose of our little girls and guys is a very difficult time to work through. Lost my Cedar a year ago on Feb. 11th and miss him all the time. His brother took 3 weeks to find his way through it and now never leaves my side. He looked for him everywhere he could. Chloe will be with all of you as you continue your journeys and will meet you on the other side. The Tribute written for her is lovey and brought all the emotions to the fore front that I experienced a year ago. The true honor for Chloe is that you and your husband were a great Mom and Dad!!

Tears are streaming down my face as I am reading this. I am so very sorry for your loss. When I lost my precious Bonnie Blue four years ago it broke my heart. We are still grieving. Bonnie also had a heart condition, and her breeder wanted to put her down, but we rescued her and she had ten very good years. Her cardiologist was a little shocked, too: she thought we’d have at least another year with her.

The love they give is unconditional, they truly are a gift from God. Bichons are the sweetest happiest loving dogs. My granddaughter used to say Pierre wants to be everybody’s best friend. Life is short but dogs lives are way too short. Love and prayers for Gracie too.

I cried when I read your post. I lost my sweet maltese of 15 1/2 yrs. recently. He was a twin and Ray was so sad without him, he died shortly afterwards. They are so precious to us and give us so much purpose, joy and unconditional love. I know you ache. I just feel blessed that I had them for as long as I did and I know y’all do too. Best wishes.

Dear Mary, So sorry to hear of the loss of Chloe. I’ve so enjoyed following along with the antics of Gracie and Chloe. Losing a pet is soooo hard. We lost our beloved lab Boston after 14 great years right before Thanksgiving and while it has been difficult I can tell you that it does get easier. All of the memories we have now bring smiles to our faces. Big hugs for you and your hubby as you go through this difficult time. Gracie too.

Oh Mary, my heart is broken for all of you. We’ve gone through this more times than I care to remember. Our Miss Molly was so great for posing in front of my camera and when I wrote of her passing, I received so many comments that I ended up just writing a thank you post, rather than individually comment. I feel for all of you, but how well I know how hard this is for Gracie.

I am so sorry, I’ve been a fan of the two dogs but i’m going through a sad time with my mini poodle Pastis. He has an enlarged heart the vet said he could die at any time well it’s going into a second year since that diagnosis and he is now, deaf, blind. and worse, dementia The vet is surprised he is alive but not much he can do. He poops all over the floors no longer can afford new rugs, he steps in his water and food dishes and they spill. He constantly gets stuck under chairs, th ebed and traps himself in corners, . Like Chloe he has an enormous appetite and no pain so I can’t think of having him put to sleep. I’m constantly cleaning up his messes. My husband didn’t want to get hospice so I took care of him, but this is worse. Pain killers help my husband to sleep he lost is appetite so not so much work for me. with Pastis, it is non stop, go out less and less because I come back to bigger messes

It’s pay beck time, me caring for him as he help me through the loss of my husband.

    as ever,

    mimi

I try to be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.[http://graphics.hotmail.com/i.p.emsmile.gif]

I’m so sorry about the loss of your dog, Mary. I can totally identify as we lost our gorgeous, sweet-tempered, full-bred collie last June from lymphoma, and she was only 6-1/2. My family and I still miss her.

Weeping, weeping for you. I know that pain. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything. They have been worth it, many times over. May God heal your hearts, even as you thank him for the blessings that Chloe gave you every day of her life.

I am so sorry. I am crying tears for your baby and for you. It is one of the most difficult things to live thru. I cannot at all understand how a parent loses a child since I know how difficult it is to lose a beloved pet, a part of your family. May God grant you serenity. Know that she is in heaven and playing with her friends, toys and eating lots of goodies.

Oh, Mary, I am so very sorry! I started to cry when I read the headline, understanding and knowing the horrible pain of loosing a precious fur-baby. Your tribute is beautiful and filled with love. I know it really feels like your heart is breaking. I will pray for you, your husband and sweet baby Gracie. Wish I could hug all of you. I said a prayer for you when I read your comment in Jenna’s blog that you could use a laugh, I wondered then what was going on. I will continue to pray for all of you in the days ahead. I too, believe we will be reunited in heaven . God bless you. Please hug Gracie for me, this is hard for her too. ❤😢

I am so terribly sorry. Pets are family – and I grieve for you, and for poor Gracie.

May Chloe be waiting for you on the Rainbow Bridge.

It’s been years since I lost my Romeo – and I hope to one day be reunited with him, as you are with your sweet girl.

I pray for your sorrow to soften to a bearable pain, and then soften to fond memories. It will take time.

I am so sorry. Tears for you all.

There’s something missing in my home,

I feel it day and night,

I know it will take time and strength

    Before things feel quite right.

But just for now, I need to mourn,

    My heart-it needs to mend,

Though some may say it’s “just a pet”

    I know I’ve lost a friend

You’ve brought such laughter to my home,

    And richness to my days…

A constant friend through joy or loss,

    With gentle, loving ways.

    Companion, pal, and confidante,

    A friend I won’t forget,

You’ll live for always in my heart,

    My gentle, forever pet…Chloe

Every time a special friend crosses the rainbow bridge, the sorrow from the passing of all of my paw friends is remembered. I’m broken hearted for you and cried as if she was my own. My Bailey, a Bichon, is 12 and so much like your Chloe in every way! (Aren’t all Bichons so much alike?) I have loved your posts in many ways, but when your Bichons are there, they’re always my favorite. Thinking of you for healing, and all the beautiful memories she brought to you and your family.

  193. February 19, 2018 at 2:27 pm

I have followed your blog as much for the Bichons as for your talent. We lost our 2nd Bichon Dixie in 2013. We had gotten Dixie because I was worried about how attached we were to our first one, Buffy. It took my husband and I(empty nesters) forever to move forward. Dixie had become my heart dog too. I was obsessed with breeders. Dixie had Addison’s disease. She passed away to us singing somewhere over the rainbow.
I miss her madly and can’t ever forget her love.
In life the best walks are always too brief.
Please give Gracie our love XOXO and know she is as sad as you are.
God bless you and your family.

Oh! I’m so very sorry and understand the heartache that envelopes you. We lost our needy, neurotic, high energy Ralph last July and still have Chanel, the cat in a dog’s body. Life is easier but far more bland without our little optimist. Gracie will grieve and be really confused for a while which will make the loss even harder. You are blessed to have so many beautiful photos of Chloe loving her life and family. Sweet memories! Blessings…

You have my sincere condolences. It truky changes, I’m your world, when they come in and when they leave. When my Mike passed, I thought.. how vastly filled my world had been.. I did adopt a rescued dog, Prince, quite by accident, and he seems to know Mike is with us in spirit. I know that I had to find another dog, Gracie, who keeps Prince company now.. they do get lonesome. I hope you all know more love thru the Grace of this sad event.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My family also lost our Romeo in July. I miss him everyday. What I did do was plant a weeping tree for him. It was late in the season so I will plant some cat tails (he liked the cat) and wild flowers in the Spring. Along with that his favorite toy, a hedgehog in concrete will be put there. That makes me happy every time I see the tree, to know what joy he brought us.

  259. February 20, 2018 at 10:52 am

Oh Mary, I’m so, so sorry to read this — it made me cry. I feel your pain because Hal and I have lost two beloved Scotties during our 30 plus years of marriage, and it never gets any easier. Dogs give us so much, while asking for so little in return. Your previous posts about Chloe and Gracie were always my favorites, and their cute poses and facial expressions always delighted me. Chloe was extremely lucky to have such a wonderful, loving home and those adventures in the boat, as well as a built-in companion in Gracie. I know Gracie is sad, too, so you will all three have to comfort one another.

Thanks for sharing Chloe and Gracie with us through the years, Mary — sending you wishes for healing and comfort.

There are not words enough to express the sadness and heartache I feel for your loss. I always looked forward to seeing the girls in a new post. We lost our little one this past July, and the house is still empty without her. Will keep all of your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I’m soooooo sorry to hear the loss of precious Chloe! Chloe, you are such a beautiful doggy. Your story and beautiful photos of sweet C & G is very heartwarming. Thank you for sharing your family with us. They are part of our lives and home and family! Bye sweet Chloe!! We miss you already!!

  264. February 20, 2018 at 6:23 pm

I too have loved all my dogs and know that empty feeling when we lose a pet. Our little yorkie is 10 and is starting to show his age so we treasure our times together. As seniors we would never want a dog to outlive us so this will be our last and just a joy to come home to….as he sniffs our bags looking to see if we brought him something. Cherish the one that’s left and give them lots of love.

I am greatly saddened by this post and don’t know how to express what the heart feels. Being a dog lover and one who has experienced this pain several times over the years I understand and empathize with what you all are going through. Ever since joining your blog I have always found your posts delightful and inspiring and I loved how you included Chloe and Gracie and made them part of it all. She touched many lives and I hope you find comfort in knowing that, and in your own special memories. When you have another fur baby around I have found great comfort in extra love and cuddles with the other one is who also needing it.Sending you all love and prayers.

So heart broken to hear of your loss. I have two myself, both 10 years of age and you are never prepared for their loss. When you loose one, a piece of your heart goes with them. So many memories to hold on to. Thank you for sharing them with us, they are always a joy to see. God bless you.

Oh Mary, what sad news. I am crying as I type this. I have always been a cat person more than a dog one, but I truly enjoyed seeing what your “girls” were always up to. And losing her must have been heartbreaking. I do understand the pain you are going through and I hope that the memories you have of this sweet little girl will bring you joy in the days ahead. Give Gracie an extra hug for me.

So sorry to hear of your loss, Mary. After I wiped my tears, I had to give my dogs a big hug. I have always enjoyed the antics of Chloe and Gracie. Now I’m crying…………….My 13 yr old Jack Russell died in Cancer surgery in September and I am still so devastated that I don’t know if I will ever listen to another vet. He advised me that she had a 95 % chance of surviving the surgery and I should not have done it. She would have died in her own time, instead I shortened her life by listening to him. I know this terrible heartbreak – I got another dog, not quite the same but helps a little. So sorry for your loss!!!!!

You are right. This is a most difficult time. A time of pain and loneliness. Know that I am with you as you walk this path…you are not alone in your time. So very sad for the loss of your baby. I’ve felt that heartbreak and pain and even though it never goes away completely
time will allow for you to remember her without the tears. Chloe was special and lived a happy life with you. I know she gave you as much love and maybe more (if that is possible) than humans could ever give her. I know she left paw prints all over your heart and that it is breaking now. Your post, as difficult as it probably was to write, was a very nice tribute to her. Keep her in your hearts until you see her at the Rainbow Bridge.

Scrolling through Chloe’s pictures. The photo of her on a pink quilt, the fourth in the series. She is looking up and directly at you. It stopped me, taking my breath away: the expression in her eyes is human, expressing much love to the photographer. I’ve gone back to look at it several times. It is indeed as if a human inhabits her soul for a bit. God love and bless you all.

Oh, Mary. My most heartfelt condolences to you and your husband for your loss of Chloe. She’s been such a sweet fixture on your blog and we’ll miss her also. Bischon was my father’s girlfriend’s favorite dog breed, she had one also for 14 years and I loved her so much. Us dog lovers understand what buddies they become to us and become a part of our family.
I’ve lost several over my life and last year when we lost our yellow lab, Brook, I couldn’t imagine I’d get over the transition without her but today we have and it’s their memories we honor for their in our hearts always.

Beautiful post and beautiful photo’s. I’m so very sorry for your sad and great loss. I lost my own heart’s dog in January – my beloved and precious Cavalier King Charles, Reuben. He was my little man and my world. I cry everyday for him and I was so touched by your words because this is exactly how I feel and what I wish for him too. I have found that you have to take one day at a time (sometimes each minute or hour at a time!) and be kind to yourself. It’s very hard! Thank you and I’m so glad I found your blog. Deeply sadden to hear of Chole’s passing. My husband and I have enjoyed your blog for several years now and our favorite blogs were always those with Chole & Gracie. I have been doing death row dog rescue for over 40 years, saving one dog at a time, investing lots of time and money into each one of them, and keeping the un-adoptable ones that had no other options. Certain fur babies just become our heart dogs in a special deep way. There are days when I have felt like I would die in my tears once that heartbeat dog died. I know your pain, and the heart break of missing your special kid in fur. I know your dog will forever live in your heart instead of by your side. Many blessings as your heart heals from such a great loss. I am sorry.

My babies are asleep at my side as I cry through your poignant post about your Chloe. She certainly was a happy pupper. We have a 13 year old Coton. We rescued her from 5 1/2 years in a cage in 2010. She is pure love. Our Puggie was rescued from the streets of Miami after having been hit by a car during rainy season… starved, every parasite known to man… I can’t drop a pea on the floor in the kitchen without him getting it before I can. The are joined by our beloved 8 year old genetically deaf white blue eyed persian. I am sorry for your hurt, but joyful in the wonderful sweet memories and wonderful pics you have of Chloe with your family. She truly was a photo hound. God bless.

Mary I have just this morning found your blog and was loving the posts I have read! My husband and I recently retired from 40+ years of teaching and we are buying a lake house in east Texas. And I just found this post and it spoke to my heart. Even tho it was Feb of this year, and some time has passed, it never passes or leaves you when you lose a loved fur-baby. I am sending my love and hugs to you because I know your heart is still aching for your Chloe. I want to tell you that we lost our Great Dane Blaze almost 5 years ago and she was my heart dog, and you just never get over it. But there is a line from a book titled The Heaven of Animals which reads as thus “When the angels whisper in your pet’s ear, it is your voice they hear”. This has sustained me through many tears and I hope it might also bring you some comfort. On a happier note – I cannot wait to read ALL of your posts! I am loving what I have seen so far and I has subscribed to your blog. Thank you so much – oh and we still have 2 Great Danes and we are planning to buy a pontoon boat to take them and the “grand dogs” and the kids (grown) when we go out on the lake, room for everyone. We are excited about this new part of our lives and trying to get used to the idea of “not having to be up for school” every morning! Thank you ! Dianne C.

I’m so very sorry! Your photos are beautiful, your precious fur babies, even more so. A vet once told me as they laid a dog to rest with his owner and 8 year old son – explaining the why’s…..the 8 year old retorted “dogs lives are much shorter than ours…we spend forever learning how to love and be kind to others, what they’ve known and done along.” I loved that. May your memories comfort you.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Your Chloe sounds so much like our little Emma. Emma will be 13 in August. My heart breaks for you, Emma has a lot of health issues and we’ve almost lost her before. We call Emma my little stalker, she follows me around everywhere I go, even the bathroom. Emma also loves to eat and is always looking for something to eat. Then we found out that Emma is Diabetic, now we have to limit how much and what she can eat. I know that we can never prepare for the loss of our fur babies. I know that you are just lost without Chloe, but I’m so glad that she has left you with such wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing all her wonderful photos. Again, I’m so very sorry for your loss.

How Sweet and Precious❣️❣️ I want you to know that my heart goes out to y’all. I have a Bichon and her name is Emma. Bichons are very special babies. I thought it was just mine, but I’ve read about so many and now I believe it’s just how Bichons are. Our Emma is 13 now. She has had a lot of health issues, but she’s still just as sweet as she can be. I’m already worrying about the fact that we will lose her in the future. She is Diabetic and had Cataracts in her eyes. We had the Cataract surgery in February and she could see again right away. Then last month she started bumping into things again and we found out that her retinal function has had a dramatic decrease and she is blind once again. I so miss my little Emma following me around from room to room. She has always been right there with me all the time. So I totally understand how you must be feeling without your precious Bichon. I’m so glad that your baby was able to bring you so much joy for all the time you had her. They truly are such a pleasure to have in ones daily life. You have some really beautiful pictures of Chloe. I know that your other Bichon must be lost without Chloe. Hugs and puppy kisses to you all. 🤗🤗🐶🐶😘😘

Bless you and Gracie. We miss our Jake, too! Nothing like a dog (especially a Bichon), to make our life complete. We knew Jake had a huge hole in his heart when we adopted him. He was supposed to be “put down”, because of it. He was 6 weeks old when we brought him home. He was 9 years old when he left us. That was 9 years longer than the vet thought he would live. We feel so very lucky to have been blessed for so long. May you never be without a Bichon in your life! What a wonderful tribute you wrote in Cloe’s memory. May your find memories last forever, and comfort you whenever you think of her.

We feel your pain and loss. We had our little bichon Lexus got 17 1/2 years. She was our little love.A white ball of energy. She went everywhere with us. Boat ride, car ride, ride in the basket of my bike rider. It tore a hole right in our hearts to let her go. But we knew her time had come. It took me 2 years before I was ready to accept a new girl in my life. And now we have another ball of white fur. Ivy. Needy, neurotic and nothing but unconditional love. Dogs are wonderful and we can’t imagine life without her. Thank you for sharing your story and photos.

Condolences on the loss of your wonderful, lovely Chloe. May you all find solace in knowing that she had the best of homes, and was loved beyond measure. That isn’t something any of us should take for granted! xox

This was written in 2018, I just now came across this and your loss. My heart breaks for you, this past September of 2020, along with all that 2020 left us to deal with and try to process and come to terms with, I lost my Milou suddenly and was utterly devastated. Took our last walk of the night, Milou and his step brother Scraps, we went to bed only to awake the next morning and my precious love could not stand on his own. Due to Covid, it took 4 days to get a vet to see us, and 10 days later he left us. The heart break and emptiness is haunting and I cried constantly, wondering what I could have done differently and did I do right by him. The hurt is something that leaves one feeling raw, lost, robbed of something more precious than anything else. You ache to see them at every turn, to see them play or demanding attention or lying against you fast asleep. I have hurt so over his passing and Scraps who had never been alone a day in his life was without his companion and it was clear he too felt the absence of the love that Milou brought into this world.
God bless these special beings they are so much to so many.

    Best

Oh Sweet Mary! I haven’t been able to follow your posts for awhile but this one brings tears to my eyes. I love the posts with your precious puppies and it breaks my heart that you lost one of your beautiful best friends. When I lost my Sparky I lost a sparkler in my life and it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through. My prayers are with you and all your beautiful bundles of joy….up in heaven and Gracie with you now.

Dear Mary, Gracie & husband: my prayers are with you. What a beautiful tribute to Chloe. Anyone who has owned a Bichon understands what truly special little personalities these little sweethearts have. They are not like other dogs. They melt your heart! I just lost my little Buster. I rescued him when he was only 9 months old. He was abused. He lived to be almost 18 years old. I haven’t stopped crying since the day I had to put him to sleep. The Bible tells us there are animals up in Heaven. I just know Chloe and Buster will be at the Rainbow Bridge to greet us when we die & we will be able to spend our eternal lives together. What a wonderful thing to look forward to! At least that’s what I believe. I can’t wait wait to get to Heaven. God Bless you!

I feel your pain over the loss of your precious Chloe. The dog of our hearts left us just over a year ago. She was Bichon named Daisy and she was 14 years old (closer to 15 really). We rescued her when she was about 7 weeks old, from a Sanctuary that rescued her, her sister, and two brothers from a puppy mill along with many, many other dogs. One of her brothers died shortly after the rescue and within 30 minutes of their posting for adoption of Daisy and her remaining siblings, they had reached their maximum on applications. Ours was the last and somehow we were chosen as the lucky ones to adopt her. It was all just like you said – a life of love, play, food, walks, adventures, swimming, food, boat rides…Daisy loved it all, too. We will always miss her and love her so much. I still hear the taps of her toenails on our wood floors. Thank you for sharing your story and your Chloe with us. Our prayers and best wishes to you and your family.
