Between Naps on the Porch
I don’t have any of that kind and they are lovely!! I use the ones now for drinking out of, putting desserts in them and also all kinds of arrangements like flowers, flags, greenery, utensils and all kinds of things. There’s just so many ways to use ball jars!!!
Long time subscriber and I share you love of ball jars. Canning aside, I use them for pre-made salads and desserts when we travel to dog shows (if we ever get to travel again!) Right now I have a few being used for rooting geraniums.
You and the puppies stay cool!
I LOVE Mason jars. I have a huge collection and use them for crafts, displays, storage, and just to sit and look pretty. About the only thing I don’t use them for is canning! I am a subscriber because not only do I love your ideas, but also I love your doggies. I, also, pinned one of your awesome mason jar 4th of July pictures.
Beautiful jars! First time seeing these! You are the clever woman! I’d use these beauties for Summertime drinks! I need to get some lids for them, thanks for the shopping list! Have a sweet day my friend!
I would use for drinks and would put food items in or special gifts,
Oh and I forgot I use the small ones every year for different kinds of candies to go on my 3 tired tin tray that I decorate for Christmas!!!
Mostly I use them for left overs and vases. Love not using plastic for left overs and they are just the most summery thing for all those beautiful summer wild flowers.
Would love to win them to add to my collection! Make the best beverage glass ever! Flowers in them isn’t bad either!
These jars are so lovely! I would use them for anything BUT canning, I think, unless I was canning something special to give as gifts to special friends and family! They would probably be used most often as vases on my kitchen window sill.
I enjoy old bottles and jars for flowers fresh or dried. I was gifted solar garden lights that are made from various sizes and shapes of jars. Your’s are always inspirational!
Fresh cut flowers, cool summer drinks, and probably some canning, too!
Love my collection of Ball jars and miss taking arrangements made from my garden to all my work colleagues! Alas, no room for more Ball jars in storage.
With regard to your dish-a-holic status, is there a cure? Asking for a friend…hehe!
So many ways to use Ball jars! I would fill them with ingredients and recipes for Christmas gifts. I would also help my daughter fill them with homemade maple syrup. Noticed the lids with pour spouts on Amazon. They would be awesome for this maple syrup!!
Hey there Carol Burger! Hope you are well! Miss seeing you..
I would fill with colored water, place a clear glass saucer on top to hold a fat candle
Jars were always useful in the classroom. Many an estimation game was had with different size jars. Always preferred ball jars as most kids couldn’t open a nice, tight lid!! Also great for storage. Thx.
O, what pretty jars. I love your flora arrangements and would definitely use that idea. I have been a long time subscriber and am pinning your flowers with the girls in the background. Love your girls! Thanks for the wonderful giveaway. Have a blessed day.
I’d used he jars with floating candles and tiny flower blossom in tinted water ,around the top perhaps I would tie bit of greenery on small piece of grapevine And maybe set them on mini grapevine wreaths! I pinned the jar with the autumn colored flowers tey are simple but perfect😉
Pinned the floral arrangement and the girls. Thanks, Mary.
Those babies belong in every picture! Precious! I’ve never seen those fluted jars. They are beautiful! I would absolutely use them for canning tomatoes, salsas and making colorful ferments. Your blog post was outstanding!! :)
My favorite way to use these jars would be to arrange and display fresh flowers. 💐
Oh, my we use Bell Jars every day,in some capacity. To fill with soup and take to a sick friend, to line up on a table filled with tiger lilies, sitting on an old cutting board with halloween and autumn penny candies. As terrariums, to take on picnics with layered salads or breakfast filled with yogurt, berries and granola. They are a great way to serve mixed. Nuts, or just plain on a window sill reflecting the morning light.
Wine spritzers and home made sangria would be perfect in these jars.
I pinned one of the flower filled jars to my board entitled “floral”.
Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream Sodas!
That’s the best jar idea I have seen! I have to get these since I have a love of these jars!
I would definitely use these for flower cuttings from my yard. Lovevthis new shape!
Thank you for this chance!
I would use these for seasonal decor and drinkware. Another set would be put to work in my craft room for storing paint brushes and markers.
I am a follower of your blog and pinned this on Pinterest
I would love to win these jars. I would probably would use them as glasses because the of the tapered design.
I pinned the caramel drop banana bread trifle. I have frozen bananas screaming to be made into something (we love your chocolate chip banana bread)
My daughter is working from home (mostly on her patio) and has decided to photograph all the nature she experiences in her very small backyard. I sent her some of your photos for inspiration.
Thanks
Robyn
I would do just as you have!! I love everything you post.
Mary, you made me a jaraholic after I seen all your uses, etc…I was already a dishaholic…I use mist of my jars for canning,,the special ones are for holding everything from flowers to soup!! Good Luck to everyone!! I don’t know how new these are but they are beautiful!!
You have shown so many creative uses for these jars, but I think I would use them for drinks on my sunporch.
I have pinned a beautiful jar of flowers…they look more like fall flowers…love the colors!! I am also a subscriber & follower…have been for many years!! I look forward to your blog everyday!!
I use them for beverages, leftovers and vases. Thanks for another lovely post!
I have one set decorated with bees that I use to serve homemade lemonade infused with rosemary from the garden and honey. For more of a “kick”, I also serve Bourbon Buzzes infused with sage. If I won your set, I’d like to try a few new beverages, including some you highlighted today.
I pinned your bouquet, under Summer Tablescapes as Blue Strong.
Thanks for the chance!
I subscribe to you via email and always enjoy your posts!
These would be perfect for homemade milkshakes!
I would fill with flowers from.my garden!
I saved to Pinterest…Vintage board (the beautiful tablecloth photo on the water)
As I have said before, I love looking at your pictures and finding inspiration. The funny thing is, only yesterday, I was thinking of buying a box. I like to bring flowers to friends and it is aways nicer arranged in a vase but then you give them the responsibility of having to return it. Ball jars would be perfect for that. You can easily say, “Return? No, that is for you to keep”. During this lockdown, whenever I would get to Trader Joes, I would buy lots of flowers and leave them at friend’s door steps. Fun surprise. I pinned many of your lovely photos to Bzzz, Flower My World, For the Red, White and Blue and I started a new board called Have a Ball. You are sweet to do a giveaway.
Since I recently discovered how delicious mojitos are, I would probably use the jars to serve them. I am an email subscriber and I pinned the watermelon mojito recipe. Love seeing your camera hounds Funny how they figure out how to get treats.
These would be so pretty to use for drinking out of! Definitely would use some for vases also – I like to leave my neighbors flowers when my roses are in bloom – these just make the gift prettier :)
I think those are just perfect for flower arrangements! Love the new design!
I pinned your fall flower “vase” to one of my fall decor boards as inspiration/reminder for fall.
These jars are new to me!! They are lovely…I adore them! And oh so many uses. This time of year I think I’d probably use them most as a vase!
Mary, I love the jar round-up and especially the arrangement with your darling babies! Happy Monday♥️
I make homemade cranberries for Thanksgiving! I can see this in these jars to pass on to family, friends and neighbors! It will be so pretty!
I have some miniature fairy garden things that just might be delightful in a fluted jar 🧚♀️ 😊
Love the inspiration and I’d love to pass on this inspiration too. Recycling jars makes me happy and reminds me of my grandpa. Flowers, desserts, cocktails aplenty…I think I’d use the jars to share with each of my children as a penny bank of sorts. Empty the jar when needed + fill it with what your money allowed = pass it on! Thank you :)
Oh my goodness! I inherited many ball jars from my grandmother after she passed. I cherish them! These new ball jars are fabulous! I’d use them for all the blooms I cut from my garden!
I use the old jars as vases and storage for craft tools. I never seen the fluted ones and would use those for beverages and deserts. Love all your ideas.
I love jars, any mason jar is welcome in our home. I would love flowers, succulents, fruit drink. Endless possibilities. Thanks for sharing and entering me. 🏡
I haven’t seen that style of jar in the past – they are beautiful and perfect for a vase of flowers.
I have not seen a fluted Ball jar before. Would love to get a set for flower arrangements. That is how I use most of my Ball jars at present. Thank you for your inspiring blogs.
I love all your uses, and will borrow them! During the summer months, I love my overnight oats as a cool breakfast treat. With all the fresh fruit in abundance, the different ways to eat it, is endless.
Forgot to add that I am an email subscriber, and longtime follower!
Just pinned your Summertime Peach Tea recipe to make for the Fourth of July. Thank you!
I’d likely use these for cut flower arrangements. Pretty!
Those jars are lovely! What a cute shape. I have a vast collection of jars, from canning for years and receiving wonderful blue old jars years ago when I started. I held the blue ones near and dear and they are displayed in my kitchen. I place battery timed candles in them and they look lovely on display. I have small ones for jams and use my many others for storing salsas and desserts. And of course, my flowers!!! But I love the shape of those, would make a great summer drinking glass being the tapered shape you could hold it nicely. Another Great giveaway!
So many cute and clever ideas. Thank you 🤗
The jars are so cool! I would rotate them by using for flower arranging, fill with candies, using for southern sweet tea. Your displays are beautiful.
During lockdown, I have gotten very interested in plants, probably more than I should. I would use these jars to create miniature terrariums to place at each table setting when I finally am able to invite people back for dinner. These jars are adorable. I would like to know what that beautiful beverage is in one of your pictures that is pink at the bottom and clear at the top. That is beautiful!
I am a long time follower.
Thank for for another lovely post and giveaway! Reading your posts is a little vacation for me! Like you, I use Ball jars for “everything”! These would be so pretty to hold flowers, sprinkles, candy and spices.
I love these! I would use some for ‘fairy lights’ in my flower garden and back yard. I have a few and love looking at them once it get’s dark. Fresh flowers in the others
You inspire me with every post and even when I go through your past posts! I am having 4 girls over tomorrow night for dinner and I am doing a 4th of July theme! I will do you jar 4th Berry Truffle dessert, the wood trivet, sparklers etc!! So excited to see their reaction! Thank you for the inspiration!
They are adorable! I would use them to serve all the delicious desserts you serve. I love your blog and look forward to it everyday!
I’m a subscriber. And honestly, I would use them for all those things! storing leftovers one day and gracing my holiday table with flowers the next!
These jars are gorgeous! Love the shape…I would use them for drinking out of and for flowers. Also for Christmas gifts filled with a hot fudge sauce or lavender bath salts. I pinned the caramel-banana trifle – it looks yummy!
The fluted jars are super cute, perfect for my favorite beverage, fresh cut flowers and jam!
You have the best ideas for using those Ball jars. So much inspiration to be found in this post. I love this new fluted design and think I would use it most for holding flowers from the garden. I have always liked the idea of using them to hold cold drinks, but find them a bit too big to comfortably hold in my hand. Maybe this fluted size would be better suited for that. I just finished eating overnight oats that I make in a Ball jar. I love the granola/yogurt parfaits you made in them.
I just pinned the granola/yogurt parfait idea. Looks delicious as well as pretty. Thank you.
Much as I know how much water I should drink, I never quite got there until I started slipping herbal tea (Tangerine Xinger-yum!) into water in Mason jars before I went to bed. I’ve got them lined up in my fridge. They’re pretty hues and take up no more space than soda. Some I grab to go (yay lids!) Others I sip at home/ in the garden. The only mixed blessing is that my family has caught on and now we need to line up more to go around :).
The other use I have right now is to store and give away basil. Looks pretty. Stays fresh, and cutting keeps the plants producing.
Thanks for the inspiration!
I am a subscriber. My top two ideas are for a sparkling drink and strawberry jam to give as gifts for Christmas.
These are true cuties! I use my jars for flowers and would use these as drinking glasses.
I’m a “jar-aholic” too Mary, you can’t have too many jars! This flute style jar is so pretty, the tapered top really makes a lovely presentation for flowers and food, so so cute! And of course your photogenic fur balls expect treats when your camera goes into action. The drinks garnished with rhubarb and lime are gorgeous!! Great giveaway, thanks Mary!

Hi Mary, I would love to win these adorable jars, I can see so many uses for them on a daily, monthly basis, from holding dessert to layering kitty treats to leave on my counter instead of bags. I shared the pic of the berry trifle on my Pinterest page for others to enjoy also. I pray that you all have a wonderful 4th up at Lake Norman, I am sure it will be beautiful there this holiday. Take care sweet lady!!!♥️💙🐶🐶
Love these jars. I’d use them for desserts, drinks, or storing toppings for ice cream sundaes.
Hi Mary ~ Loving these fluted bell Ball jars. I would probably use these for all kinds of things. I also pick wildflowers all summer long and they are the perfect little “vase” for them. I love to make trifle or jello in them. My grandchildren love them. They are so versatile, the possibilities are endless!
What a pretty shape those jars are, Mary! I always make homemade jam, so the jars would be used for that and for flowers. Sophie and Lola are too cute in knowing what photography equals!!
I have been a subscriber for many years.
Hi Mary ~ I am a long time member and lover of your cheerful and beautiful blog.
My husband is retiring from the Navy this summer – 28 years of service – and I would use the jars for layered dessert trifles I’m planning to serve at his reception! Thank you for the giveaway opportunity – I’m also a subscriber!
I posted about your wonderful giveaway on my Pinterest page!
Hi Mary ~ I pinned the picture of the fall colored her Gerbera daisies and zinnias (I think). It is pinned to my Board, Frost on the Pumpkin.
Thanks Dorinda.
PS thanks for another generous contest xo
Thanks Mary. My husband is a bee keeper and gives his honey to family and friends. These would be perfect jars to store and gift the golden elixir.
Those are smart little dogs!!! Well, definitely NOT canning. Probably flowers. Such pretty jars.
I share your enthusiasm for Ball jars and I would use them for drinking, tablescapes, desserts and other food applications. I have enjoyed your blog for years and look forward to reading it everyday.
I would use them for wildflowers. :)
I just pinned the pic of the beautiful flowers in the Ball jar.

My sister and her girls filled these with daily mojos — short quotes and inspirations–one year as Christmas presents. I remember her laughing at how many it took to fill a jar since she was making threedthree (and likely customized each one). I kept mine by my desk and would take such joy in each quote. Sadly, she passed away four years ago. Her anniversary is coming up, and your contest just gave me a great idea as to how to honor it with my own daily mojo jars.
Thanks!
Sorry for the typo. It should read that she was making three dozen. 💖
I just subscribed to your blog via email. I didn’t even realize that was “a thing” until now. :)
Beautiful photos.
I have enjoyed your blog for several years, your use of jars is so creative.
I use them to store left over and for cut flowers from my garden.
Love your posts! Thanks for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway. I would make smoothies to drink from fluted Ball jars. I have never had the fluted type of jar.
My use of jars at christmas time, using them for red and green pepper jelly to give as gifts
I’m pretty simple, I would fill with Zinnias and sit the jar by the sink. The sink is the most used place in the kitchen and the viewing is at peak there! Thanks for the share and opportunity!
Such cute jars! I’m a longtime subscriber by email. I would use these jars for desserts, flowers and eventually preserving fresh fruit.
I pinned the terrarium idea, as that is what I will be making for Christmas gifts this year. I am so excited the jars are sooo, pretty. I have so many uses for them. From, using in the craft room, to kitchen.
So many ways to enjoy these jars as mentioned. i’ll add, hold bread sticks, my dog’s rawhide bones, chopsticks when serving sushi, and alway for my fresh herbs.. Love you blog and your pups..
I would love to win these beautiful new jars! I think I would can my Christmas jam in them for gifts. Thanks for the great giveaway, Mary.
Also being a gardner, I too would be using them to make floral arrangements from my garden:) Thanks for coming up with the giveaway! Karen
Haven’t seen these beautiful jars before! Love the shape. I’ve used jars for canning, drinking, and as vases for flowers. These would be perfect for so many things. I love all of your ideas for using them, especially the banana bread trifle! It looks amazingly delicious!! Thanks for your sweet and thoughtful giveaway!
I would fill these sparkly new jars with my homemade tomato soup that I am working on marketing. I give a lot of the soup for gifts and what a beautiful way to present it. Love the fact that the jars can be used for other things after the soup is gone.
You are my go to for pretty much everything. From recipes, to decorations for holidays, gardening and the list goes on. Love theses jars. Have never seen this type before. Use them for flowers probably the most. Cherry
Love all the pictures and inspiration this post brought. I can see me using these to hold dressing, having a girls night and putting the napkins and utensils in them… Very pretty jars.
I’ve been enjoying your site for a while now and get most of my inspiration from you. I would use the jars for herbs on my kitchen window. I have a vase with Rosemary now but grow lavender, sage, and mint. I’m making my own homemade soap from a post and bought the same mold…..excited and love this!! My kids are my everything and yes they are my dogs…..love looking at pics of your babies as well!!
I use ball jars for flowers and leftovers. My husband makes salsa from our garden every year and gives it away in ball jars. Sometimes people return the jars and if they don’t that is okay because I like to think they enjoy them.
BTW thank you for your website- it is always lovely!
Bonus puppy pictures! Thank you. Thanks, too, for a bonus chance for those of us who are subscribers to win the cute jars. I’ve not fallen into the mason jar craze so I was unaware that they made another shape. I could see myself using these for casual flower arrangements or to store my homemade salad dressings in the refrigerator in place of the miscellaneous recycled jars I use now. Happy Monday!
Love these jars, I am a long time subscriber via email and I would fill these jars with a nut pretzel mix I make and Gift them to neighbors, Thank you and have a great 4th!
I love the fluted shape and diamond cut design of these jars. I would make colorful and tasty jams in these jars and of course show them off on one of my shelves in my kitchen until I use them.
To me, these just scream, “Summertime and the Livin’ is Easy”!
I have never seen this kind, sweet & I would use for vases or that succulent jar you have just shown us. Thanks, the tapered opening really is terrific for flowers.
I love the look of these jars. They can be used for lots of things but I would favor using them for desserts and flower arrangements.
I pinned your beautiful yogurt/granola dessert too
Love your posts! I would be using these for for drinks and flowers and desserts! So many uses ;-)
I would use these for storing my craft supplies – buttons, beads or ribbon. They are so cute!
I am a long time subscriber.
I pinned a picture of your patriotic berry trifle to my Yummy board. Looks like a good dessert to make for the Fourth.
I pinned your floral arrangement idea as inspiration to look at my garden for ideas. Thank you!
I just got a coupon for these in the Sunday paper! I thought they were so unique. I also collect old jars. I have some blue ball jars with zinc lids. I use them for vases, cookie gifts, button sorting, and desserts. I’ve even used them in my classroom.
Wow I have never seen these! They are really cool. And now they go on my wishlist along with the ones you highlighted last week with the bee logo! If I had these I would use them for drinkware, flower arrangements, and some fun collections like buttons or keys that I have.
Although I can jams and jellies, I would use the fluted shape for the red, white and blue trifle or other dessert, and for flowers. I haven’t seen this shape offered locally but I’ll be on the look out! I also envision candies in it – pick out yellow M and Ms for ‘you are my sunshine’ grandson or his favorite gummies! Maybe fill with coffee beans and stick in a candle for on the porch?
Thank you for the ideas and for the giveaway…so many uses. I could use them every day of the year for flowers, gift giving, and yummmmmy desserts. I really enjoy your posts.
Love all the TONS of uses you showed us for these adorable jars! I’m a long time subscriber and THANK YOU for the giveaway!
This is certainly a new one on me! I have all sizes, styles and eras of Ball Jar. We even use them for our everyday drinking glasses. I would use these fluted that way too probably but they would be wonderful filled with jam for our neighbors.
Wow so many great ideas! Love the dessert, with beautiful straws for drinking glasses (order straws on Amazon?), love the succulent vase but having a social distanced, outdoor dinner with friends and I will be putting our silverware in the jars filed either by type or at each place setting. Adding a little bow to the top of each jar for a touch of frill! Thanks! And yes, I subscribe to your newsletter.
I love the shape ! I make home made Cinn. Apple Jelly every year & these would look NICE with my Pretty RED Jelly ! Thanks for the opportunity :)
I just love the shape….Could do so much with them.Think I would use for drinks.Good luck everyone…and have a very Happy and safe 4th of July !
Your girls crack me up, adore their little faces sneaking in the background! We share the dish, jar, doggie love gene 😉
I would display my sea glass and seashells. Also, would use them for flowers!!
You’ve given us so many good ideas, I d probably do several things! For sure I’d put garden flowers in them. Each morning I walk through my garden and always have to pick me a bouquet. Hope I win!
Weddings! how cute would these be for one of our weddings…on the table or as favors. They would be easy to hold for wedding punch or iced tea. Cute as a favor for it would certainly not be one that was later tossed! Affordable and useful wedding favor…long after the day. Pinning to my Wedding “Favor” board and Wedding Food board.
I am going to do this!
I am a bit of a jar-aholic too. I have jars, all shapes and sizes used in every room of the house and even outside. I had to purchase the stars and stripes jars as soon as you posted on another giveaway as I simply couldn’t wait for the winner to be announced and then find out my local stores were sold out.
How delightful the fluted jars are and would so enjoy having them as part of my collection to use for display and desserts.
I pinned the stars and stripes berry trifle and going to make those for our get together this weekend.
Sure do wish they would come out with melamine ball jars as I hesitate to take my jars to other folks house with dessert in case they get broken or they decide they would like to keep and enjoy. Protective of my Ball jars! LOL
I’m already a follower by email. I pinned the photo of the new jar design sitting on top of it’s box to my homemade gifts section. Love the shape of the new jars.
I just picked my first cucumbers yesterday. So I think your jars would make really cute pickle jars:)
As a longtime follower I’ve looked to you for inspiration for many things ball jars are one of many. I’m a quilter so I have also used them as containers for small projects, needle, thread, fabrics and scissors. Add a bit of fiber fill to the lid, topped with fabric secured to the lid, add the ring and you have a pin cushion. Makes a cute gift. So, there’s so much to use a ball jar for! I would love to include this new flute style to my collection.
Believe it or not I have never seen jars like this. They’re beautiful! I would definitely use for flowers and i think these would be great jars to use for gifts, with something inside, of course!
Such a pretty jar. I really like storing dry foods in jars and would probably use them for that.
Sheila
These would be perfect for my peach preserves that I give to my girlfriends!!😍
Those are really pretty jars.
I think you nailed the use of them with all your ideas. Floral arrangements, yes yes yes!
I’d love to serve lemonade with them.
I’d use one for my button jar.
I’d maybe make up those “cookies in a jar” gifts.
Thank you for the generous giveaway. I’d love to win this.
If I had a fluted ball jar I would use it for fresh flowers also. Living in Ohio, I have some cone flowers and black-eyed Susan flowers just starting to open that would make a nice arrangement. I have a lot of boxwood bushes (some I keep trimmed and some I let go a little wild) so I think I could put a few branches in the jar to fill in. I might even put in a little Lamb’s Ear that I have growing on my hill flower bed.
Your arrangements always give me great ideas, just don’t have the two cuties, Lola and Sophie, in the background.
Such beautiful table scapes! Here in Texas we are always looking for an ice cold drink to help beat the heat! Love your fruity and refreshing drink recipes!
Hmmmm, I would use the jars for my overnight oats and take them when I travel.
Also would make creative candy gift giving for Christmas.
Love your recipes and floral displays!
You are right—So many uses for Ball jars! I love that style too! I would use them for lots of different things, but mostly for flower vases and food and crafting. Loved seeing the pups again!
Hi ~Mary ~ !!
I have to giggle seeing the pups wanting to get in the pictures !!
The jars are pretty , I like to put my fresh fruit in them to take to work , and a root beer float sure sounds refreshing in this heat !!
Take Care Mary !!

I would use the jars this Christmas for gift giving our “spiced pecans”. Since our last name is BALL, the jar is just as important as what it contains.. We have been doing this for many years so we have gone through the blue ,green, purple, amber colored years. Glad to see a new shape to try out. Should I not win, I will likely buy for this year’s presentation!
Have not seen those beautiful graceful jars before. There are so many uses but mostly for flowers and gifts.I am a subscriber.
I also pinned a floral jar!
That’s a pretty jar Mary, great shape for flowers! Love that The Girls are becoming camera hogs:@)
Mary, I would call myself one of your faithful followers! Every post is so inspiring! I have a small collection of jars too! My favorite are the antique French jars with labels! The fluted jars would be a lovely addition to my collection! I also posted the Fall flower arrangement to my Pinterest board “Flower Arrangements”. Thank you!
Mary,
Your blog has been my favorite for years and I love the puppies. This week they are saying, “hurry with the photos, it is time for our snacks and our naps”. As a retired flute player from 4th grade through college, Louisiana State University’s “The Golden Band from Tigerland”, anything flute appeals to me. My grandmothers, my Mother, her six sisters and my home economics teacher all taught me to save jars and rags. Also, many years ago an elderly neighbor and her husband provided my family with fresh milk and cream to make butter. I inherited her small butter churn made out of a short squatty jar (about two quarts size) with the paddle attached to a screw- on metal lid. I cherish it to this day. I use jars for jellies and preserves, crackers, buttons, matches, coins, flowers, and soup and leftover food gifts.
I would be honored to receive these lovely jars, but if not I will eventually find them.
When the lilac/purple jars made their debut I almost broke my neck getting to my local hardware store. Thank you for such a wonderful blog. It is beautiful, practical and affordable.
Ashley Ann LaBorde
Mary,
I would also use the jars as drinking glasses. All the Summertime drinks look cool and yummy. I have some American blue transferware dishes that were once gifts
with grocery purchases and investments at some banks. I use it with red, white and blue decor for our patriotic celebrations. Oh, is Carol Burger the Carol who once lived in Baton Rouge? If so, contact me. I am no longer in BR, but still in Louisiana.

Mary, I would call myself one of your faithful followers. Your posts are so inspiring. I also, have a small jar collection! My favorite are the antique French canning jars with labels. The fluted jars would be a beautiful addition. They would be beautiful filled with flowers. I pinned your Fall flower arrangement on Pinterest. Thanks for the chance to win!
These pictures are lovely! What great ideas.
I do love these new jars. What great ideas.
Beautiful! So many things to do with these jars. Probably some fresh flowers to begin with. Thank you for the chance to win.
I’d use these for the flowers I get at the farmers market every weekend. They are really cute.
Oh, I need some of these for my latest craze for refrigerated oatmeal. So delicious cold and creamy on a hot summer morning. Love your blog!
I would use them for flowers – look like the perfect thing for a small arrangement to deliver to a friend or someone who needs a pick-me-up/ The photos are always better with your two fur babies in them!!
Your floral arrangements are beautiful as always! I love cutting flowers from my garden and would love to use these flute jars for cut flowers. Also they are the perfect jar to build a love a lovely summer dessert in! How versatile they are! Thank you so much for the chance to win them!
Long term subscriber…I would use them for canning -jam! and for flowers and of course they’d be great for fun size candy…thanks for the introduction to the Ball Flute Jars, such a cute shape. It’s my birthday today! My family gave me a grouping of 3 coral -orange roses with yellow astral-maria’s with an orange strip! I’ve shared your blog with my sister over a year ago, she agrees with me such a darling blog.
Love your site, have been following you for a long time. Love the creative way you make use of flowers, china and accessories, and of course your precious Lola and Sophie.
Would like to know the pattern name of the blue and white China displayed in one of your photos, the one with the gardening gloves.
Also do I have your permission to occasionally post pictures of your floral arrangements? These posts would primarily appear on my Facebook page.
Thank you for providing your readers with such a beautiful blog, and a delicious recipe collection.
Thank you Gisela. You’re welcome to share a photo on FB with a link back to the individual post. The blue and white transferware isn’t one particular pattern, it’s a collection vintage pieces collected over the years: https://homeiswheretheboatis.net/2020/04/20/white-blooms-and-ball-jar-bouquets-in-the-potting-shed/
I love the shape of these – I would use them for fancy drinking glasses! My kids tease me bc I use canning jars as glasses. I would break these out the next time they are here and tell them I am using the “good crystal” for them! I have also pinned your giveaway. Thanks for such fun giveaways!

They look lovely with flowers in them🌺
I think I would also use them in my pantry 💕
I’ve followed your blog for years now. Every post is so beautifully photographed and inspiring. I could never have as many pieces to duplicate your beautiful tablescapes, but I love looking at them. The jars would be used for yogurt parfaits – so you can see all the colors and textures. But flower arrangements are another choice. I pinned the flower arrangement with the blue hydrangeas taken from above. I wanted to be able to see all the flowers so I can add them to my garden. I so enjoy seeing your post in my email. I know it’s time to just relax and enjoy some beauty.
I love the style of these jars! I would use them to make some fun crafts.
I’m an email subscriber. Thanks!
I pinned the top picture of the floral arrangement on Pinterest.
I use them for flower vases for the zinnias that I grow in the summertime and also for fresh herbs out of the garden. They are so much fun to use. I also get ideas from you for using them. Thank you for the beautiful post
I am so in love with the tapered jars. They are gorgeous styled with flowers. I am sure that is how I would use them. I would probably make some blueberry jam or strawberry jam in these beautiful jars too.
I pinned one of the floral arrangements https://www.pinterest.com/pin/118993615142388264/

I would use them for flowers. They would be so cute with some fresh wild flowers in them!
