At the Table: Mikasa Antique Orchard

DSC_9248-001

I’m at the table with a harvest of fruit and Antique Orchard dinnerware by Mikasa!

DSC_9203-001

Pears, grapes, berries and peaches provide a colorful harvest of fruit on a sage green border and a porcelain white center on the Antique Orchard dinnerware.

I harvested a Waverly tablecloth with clusters of grapes and flowers for a foundation for the table. Twiggy woven mats provide some rustic texture and contrast to the porcelain finish of the dinnerware.

A Mikasa Gourmet Basics Loop & Lattice 2-Tier Basket in a warm bronze finish provides a centerpiece for the table.

And a pair of Antique Orchard salad plates anchor the top and bottom tiers with peaches, pears, grapes and berries.

Made of high quality porcelain, it is microwave safe and dishwasher safe.

A Napkin & Flatware Caddy by Mikasa Gourmet Basics has three compartments in the front to store utensils, flatware or napkins.

A convenient back compartment is large enough to corral or carry 8-inch plates.

This is a feast for the eyes..I really like the dishes but my favorite is the tablecloth. I never get to score a beautiful one like that…when you live far away from the stores the good sale stuff is gone by the time I get there..but, I do get my share sometimes. Your table is, as usual, gorgeous! Have a great Monday!! 😍🍇🍒🍐🍎🍊🍏

I am craving a big juicy peach now Mary! The dinnerware is wonderfully retro and looks like a picnic in your scenic outdoor setting. The brick red cloth really makes the dishes pop and the overflowing fruit basket is mouthwatering~ Have a great week!

I miss my dishes, packed away in storage!! This is gorgeous! I’ve been trying to resist adding to my collection but I may have to pick up at least a couple of salad plates.

That fruit centerpiece is just perfect for this beautiful pattern, Mary! You have me craving a peach, too!

Every table of pretty dishes that you share, Mary, makes me wish that I could buy each set! I love the vintage look of these dishes, and they look perfect on your tablecloth. The centerpiece is such an easy one, but how you decorate the tiered basket is exquisite! I never tire of seeing your lake as your background.

A beautiful glimpse of fall colors, the baskets are wonderful, great job with the plate toppers. Been playing with dishes for days, organizing cupboards by theme, season and color…. so when I am at the beach I can tell Scott where to find dishes for the nbs! Always love the water glam shots, especially when inland!

Hi Mary, I started to leave a comment earlier but then got lost on the Mikasa website–so tempting and so much fun! It would be so easy to remember to add some nutritious fruit to my meals with these delicious dishes. To me it looks like a warm, lazy summer day with soft breezes off the water. Gorgeous! Linda

So very pretty: your tablecloth highlights this dishware perfectly. I really like this pattern; it reminds me of Italian pottery. Thanks for sharing! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

The table setting is lovely! Where did you get some beautiful peaches this early in the season??

    • May 11, 2015 at 11:23 am

They’re Florida peaches. I found them at Super Target :)

This table looks just so beautiful!! Kind of made me suck in a breath & say “oooh”. Are all of these beautiful dishes your own, or do you borrow to make your tablescapes? I’ve enjoyed so many of your pictures in the past – quite a variety of china. I think I’m a tad envious ;)

Once again, you always find the perfect accessories such as that fabulous tablecloth to coordinate with the beautiful dinnerware. Such a classic pattern…fruit decor has always been one of my favorites. Stunning table and always a very remarkable setting. Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

How beautiful. I have the Mikasa Antique White, and this orchard pattern would coordinate perfectly with them! I love the stick mats…a nice, rustic separation between fruit patterns. Lovely table, lovely setting, as always. Thanks for sharing!
