The countdown to Independence Day is underway and I’m proudly celebrating the Red, White and Blue as part of a patriotic tablescape blog hop!

I made multiple attempts to set up my patriotic table by the lake to enjoy some outdoor dining, but Mother Nature was uncooperative between our torrential rains and gusty winds! We’re on the porch instead of outdoors to celebrate the Red, White and Blue!
I recycled my flowers from my Monday Morning Blooms Picnic Tin Arrangement. The hydrangeas, alstroemeria and Gooseneck loosestrife blooms were removed from their separate jars in the tin and easily relocated into pitchers, a mini creamer and sugar bowl down the center of the table.
My love of the Red, White and Blue extends to transferware too! I pulled out my husband’s grandmother’s Crown Ducal Bristol transferware, layered over Staffordshire Liberty Blue dinner plates.
Liberty Blue dinnerware was created by Enoch Wedgwood Company, in the historic Staffordshire district of England. It was designed on behalf of Benjamin Franklin Federal Savings and Loan, as a promotional item in commemoration of the company’s 50th anniversary in 1975, and in celebration of the American Bicentennial in 1976.
Fifteen different historic scenes from the American colonial period were used on the Liberty Blue dinnerware. The dinner plates feature Independence Hall, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where both the United States Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were debated and adopted.
A Liberty Blue sugar bowl features Betsy Ross, as the creator of the flag. . .
While the Liberty Blue creamer depicts Paul Revere and his midnight ride.
The Old North Church is featured on the Liberty Blue pitcher~ the location from which the famous “One if by land, two if by sea” signal is said to have been sent, related to Paul Revere’s midnight ride of April 18, 1775.
A red and blue striped runner is layered over a paisley tablecloth for a patriotic mix of patterns and foundation for the table. . .
Red enamel star napkin rings hold stars and stripes napkins, pleated and swagged to mimic patriotic bunting.
It seemed only fitting to pull out the Pfaltzgraff American Bead flatware for this patriotic table!

Mary, I think this is my favorite of all your patriotic tables! I love the combination of the red and blue transferware patterns and your bunting napkin fold is perfect for table on the porch. It looks like the napkin is just folded and then pleated horizontally? Your pitcher of blooms is so gorgeous. I’ve never seen or heard of Gooseneck loosestrife–what graceful stems. Thank you Jerri! Yes, fold your napkin and then accordion pleat it and place it in your napkin ring. This napkin fabric doesn’t have much body to it so it makes a softer fold. 🇺🇸
Mary, how fortunate you are to have your husband’s grandmother’s transfer ware, it’s just lovely. It’s nice to see how clever you are by recycling the flowers from yesterday’s post. They are still beautiful as well as your table design.
Mary, You created another beautiful patriotic tablescape. The table linens are so pretty (love your tablecloth) and blend perfectly together. Wow, Mary, I have transferware envy! Your pitcher, creamer, sugar dish, and plates with patriotic scenes are beautiful and so meaningful. I loved recalling the history of those events with your exquisite pieces. You have done a great job mixing patterns and textures with so many variations. Your napkin fold was extremely clever and I love the napkin rings. I’m still swooning over your pitcher, sugar bowl, and creamer with the different scenes. It was so creative to sit them on either side of your pretty centerpiece sitting in platesof contrasting color for interest.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this table Mary! …. the porch setting is beautiful with the flag buntings! I am always in awe of your grandmother’s treasures. I have been admiring the Liberty Blue collection at “my consignment shop” … I so love the pitcher, creamer, and sugar bowl with some of my favorite Revolutionary heroes! What a lovely patriotic collection! I love the sugar, creamer and pitcher depicting the special historical scenes, just very special. Everything is a perfect match! I have a set of Betsy Ross and Paul Revere type figurine salt and pepper shakers that are too cute and would go great with this tablescape. There is also a Paul Revere type figure holding a scroll which I think is supposed to be The Declaration of Independece and it is the napkin holder. They are vintage and I always put them out for the 4th. Love your table Mary, just totally awesome! Let Freedom ring! 🇺🇸♥️🇺🇸

Mary, your table is lovely as usual. I believe the Liberty Blue is a favorite with so many of us… (I almost pulled it out for my tablescape) … but you showcase it beautifully with the Crown Ducal Bristol pink transfer ware. I adore your napkin fold and the napkin rings are perfect. Paul Revere and Betsy Ross adorned pitchers/sugars, etc are historical as well as beautiful. The banners and flag by water’s edge, and your bunting on the porch,… send out your own message that this home is definitely Patriotic! Love it!

Hi Laura, The tags have long been removed, I purchased them in 2012. They came from Kohl’s and were their brand, so probably Sonoma? You can take a closer look at them unfolded, here.

Everything about your Red White and Blue Table decor is beautiful and blends so well with the rest of the porch and even the view on the lake. Such fun and festive 4th of July decor. How wonderful that your transferware not only holds special memories in your family but the designs are Patriotic too! It is all beautiful including the pitchers depicting scenes from American history. It is hard for me to decide what I enjoy most but those accordion fanned napkins are a real show stopper!

Really love that creamer with Paul Revere’s midnight ride! There’s just something about that one that really makes me smile. It’s probably the horse in motion. Not something you see very often on dinnerware.
