I’m setting the table for a Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day–themed tea, perfect for enjoying with family or a few girlfriends. This cozy winter tea blends pinks and reds, vintage charm, and a touch of chocolate—just enough sweetness to make a gray January day feel brighter.
Valentine’s Day Tea on Tuesdays with Chocolate-Kissed Black Tea

It was love at first sip when I discovered Harney & Sons Valentine’s Day Tea!
It’s a chocolate-flavored black tea adorned with pink rosebuds and the most wonderful aroma! It’s rated a 4 for aroma and a 2 for briskness and body, making it smooth and approachable.

While the chocolate flavor is subtle, the aroma is unmistakable—which makes this tea especially versatile. It pairs beautifully with savory bites as well as sweet treats, so you’re not locked into an all-dessert menu (even though we are. ;)

Vintage Teaware with Heartfelt Meaning

A Sadler Brigadoon teapot—a new-to-me vintage English porcelain beauty found at my favorite antique mall takes centerstage. I was smitten with its hexagonal shape and iconic red and white transferware pattern. It pairs perfectly with Crown Ducal Bristol teacups, a beloved pattern passed down from my hubby’s grandmother.

Layering old and new always makes a table feel personal, and Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to pull out pieces with a story.

A Godinger “Olde Bouquet” Overcup Tea Strainer, was a Christmas gift and adds some romance to the table, featuring an ornate floral design. It was all the incentive I needed to hunt down matching Godinger “Olde Bouquet” flatware on eBay!

👉 You can never have too many flowers for Valentine’s Day, in vase, your dishes or your flatware! 💐❤️
A Cozy Winter Table with Valentine’s Flair

The table starts with layered heart runners—one red, one white—placed over a plaid throw, which doubles as a casual tablecloth.

We’re enjoying tea beside our Winter Nesting Tree, decorated to extend the twinkle season well beyond Christmas and into January and February.

With bird ornaments, glittery nests, snowflakes, icy branches, and pinecones, it adds a little sparkle and cheer during the cold, gray winter months, and is a mood-booster in the mornings and evenings.✨

Mixing Pink & Red Transferware

More pink and red transferware favorites—both new and vintage—round out the table:
-
Palate & Plate Rose Pink (new / HomeGoods)
-
Enoch Woods English Scenery Woodsware (vintage), with its rose-bordered floral design
-
Johnson Brothers Rose Chintz (vintage), layered on top to unify the mix

Alternating patterns keep things interesting while staying within a cohesive color palette.

Two bunches of $4 spray roses were cut apart and tucked into small heart bowls and sprinkled among our treats on our tiered server—proof that special floral touches can be affordable! 🌹

Pink heart rhinestone napkin rings add a bit of sparkle to shimmering white napkins.

An Easy, No-Stress Valentine’s Tea Menu
Everything on the menu was chosen for convenience and minimal hands-on prep—perfect for hosting without spending all day in the kitchen.

Valentine’s Tea Menu:
-
Chocolate Mini Tart Shells (Confiletas) – found at World Market
Fill with your choice of whipped cream, buttercream frosting, sweetened cream cheese, or chocolate ganache, then top with heart-shaped strawberries. I added a sprinkling of festive mini hearts.

-
Strawberry Rolled Wafer Cookies – World Market

-
Strawberry Shortbread Cookies with White Chocolate Chips – Target
I gave these a little upgrade by dipping half of each cookie in melted white chocolate

-
Red Velvet Mini Cupcakes – Target
Topped with a Ghirardelli Chocolate Duet Heart (a small slit in the cupcake makes for easy placement!)

-
Strawberry & Raspberry Macarons – Publix
A mix of store-bought sweets with a few simple embellishments makes everything feel festive without the fuss.

Tea serving pieces:
3-Tier Porcelain Stand Serving Tray
White Faux Fur Heart Valentine’s Day Table Runner
Harney & Sons Valentine’s Day Tea, 30 Count Sachets

or Loose Tea
4 Pack Tea Strainer with Bowl for Loose Tea

A Sweet Way to Celebrate Friendship & Winter

Whether you’re hosting a Valentine’s tea, planning a Galentine’s get-together, or simply treating yourself to a quiet afternoon cup, this chocolate-kissed tea and cozy table are a lovely reminder that winter can still sparkle.

Sometimes all it takes is a warm teapot, a few pretty plates, and good company to make winter feel a whole lot brighter. 💗☕️

This is so cozy and lovely, Mary. What a great gift and new collection with the tea strainer and flatware – gorgeous repousse detail. The roses in bowls and napkin rings are so pretty on the table, and the table set by the winter tree a perfect winter setting. I love any vintage finds with a story, but having your husband’s grandmother’s china is really special. And oh, yes, the tea and treats themselves! Not to be overlooked for their appeal, they all look and sound delicious. Happy tea on Tuesday.
The china is exquisite. I’m looking forward to trying some of the recipes. This post is so inspiring!

The Valentine’s tea table is beautiful beside the woodland tree. I love the napkin rings. The layered look linens are so pretty. The dishes are the perfect color. The snacks look and sound delicious! Hope you’re staying warm in this terribly cold weather. I am not an ice and sleet kind of person! I like snow that disappears in a day or so which rarely happens. Be safe! Clara❤️
You had me at chocolate kissed tea! This is a feast for the senses. I love everything about this tea party! I also like the pretty woodland tree. We just put out suet for the birds living in our woods. Beautiful post, Mary!
