I’m setting the table for a Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day–themed tea, perfect for enjoying with family or a few girlfriends. This cozy winter tea blends pinks and reds, vintage charm, and a touch of chocolate—just enough sweetness to make a gray January day feel brighter.

It was love at first sip when I discovered Harney & Sons Valentine’s Day Tea!

It’s a chocolate-flavored black tea adorned with pink rosebuds and the most wonderful aroma! It’s rated a 4 for aroma and a 2 for briskness and body, making it smooth and approachable.

While the chocolate flavor is subtle, the aroma is unmistakable—which makes this tea especially versatile. It pairs beautifully with savory bites as well as sweet treats, so you’re not locked into an all-dessert menu (even though we are. ;)

Vintage Teaware with Heartfelt Meaning

A Sadler Brigadoon teapot—a new-to-me vintage English porcelain beauty found at my favorite antique mall takes centerstage. I was smitten with its hexagonal shape and iconic red and white transferware pattern. It pairs perfectly with Crown Ducal Bristol teacups, a beloved pattern passed down from my hubby’s grandmother.

Layering old and new always makes a table feel personal, and Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to pull out pieces with a story.

A Godinger “Olde Bouquet” Overcup Tea Strainer, was a Christmas gift and adds some romance to the table, featuring an ornate floral design. It was all the incentive I needed to hunt down matching Godinger “Olde Bouquet” flatware on eBay!

This is so cozy and lovely, Mary. What a great gift and new collection with the tea strainer and flatware – gorgeous repousse detail. The roses in bowls and napkin rings are so pretty on the table, and the table set by the winter tree a perfect winter setting. I love any vintage finds with a story, but having your husband’s grandmother’s china is really special. And oh, yes, the tea and treats themselves! Not to be overlooked for their appeal, they all look and sound delicious. Happy tea on Tuesday.

Mary your tea time is so inviting and cozy with your winter nesting tree sparkling beside. I love the transfer ware and all the patterns, what great choices for your table. How wonderful you have your hubby’s grandmother’s china pieces. How sweet is that? I agree foods can be bought at the store and with just a little embellishment, they are magical. Yours are no exception. Thanks for a warm treat for weary eyes on this chilly morning in Florida.

Oh Mary, I’d be so happy to join you for tea and treats by your twinkling nesting tree. Your mix of all the pretty patterns makes my heart happy. Your new teapot from the antique store is a perfect valentine one for your table. I actually gasped at your gifted tea strainer and then again at the matching flatware. How you embellish treats is so creative! I’m also going to be on the hunt at World Market for those chocolate shells. Thank you so much for the honor of inviting me to join you and Pam for this special edition of Tea on Tuesday. ❤️

Yes, this teatime is definitely the perfect way to celebrate friendship and winter! Your Sadler Brigadoon teapot was a gorgeous find. Absolutely love the shape! The Godinger “Olde Bouquet” tea strainer is exquisite. You know I have long held a passion for these over the cup tea strainers as well as the tea strainer spoons. I’m thrilled this one has joined your tea time table. Love the idea of mixing pink and red transfer ware. I’m eager to pull out my own valentine things and set a table for the upcoming Valentine Tablescape Hop. Eager to also see what you share. You inspire me with every post, Mary. The Valentine’s tea table is beautiful beside the woodland tree. I love the napkin rings. The layered look linens are so pretty. The dishes are the perfect color. The snacks look and sound delicious! Hope you’re staying warm in this terribly cold weather. I am not an ice and sleet kind of person! I like snow that disappears in a day or so which rarely happens. Be safe! Clara❤️

You had me at chocolate kissed tea! This is a feast for the senses. I love everything about this tea party! I also like the pretty woodland tree. We just put out suet for the birds living in our woods. Beautiful post, Mary!
