Celebrating the Red, White & Blue

Memorial Day is the unofficial kick off to Summer. . .

For us that means a holiday that involves boating & food. . .

so I had a little mosaic fun with photos taken on our boating outings~

(any mosaic will enlarge if you click on it)

Celebrating the Red, White & Blue. . .

Of course the holiday has a much more important significance than boating & picnics. . .  it commemorates U.S. soldiers who died while in military service.

First enacted to honor Union and Confederate soldiers following the American Civil War, it was extended after World War I to honor Americans who have died in all wars.

However you celebrate, spend a few moments to remember and give thanks for those who serve & protect us . . .

Wishing you Good Food. . .

  Safe Travels. . .

. . .And time to kick back & put your feet up :-)

Happy Memorial Day!

Thank you for your visit, I’m joining:
