Reindeer Sleigh Tartan Christmas Table and Centerpiece

dsc_8112-001

December is flying by and I’m trying to slow down and enjoy the gifts of the season with 10 days left until Christmas!

dsc_8083-001

I set a table by the tree to enjoy the twinkle and glow of the lights. . .

dsc_8160-001

I love this old-fashioned, snowy scene set on Royal Stafford Christmas Village plates. They’re framed with plaid dinner plate and snowy white and burnished silver chargers.

Mercury glass votives add an additional glow to the table . . .

And a reindeer sleigh provides a centerpiece, filled with a mixture of evergreens, apples, pinecones and shiny red ornaments.

I lined the sleigh with plastic, then added wet floral foam. I cut some magnolia, boxwood, pine, laurel and cypress to fill the sleigh. Pinecones are tucked in among the greenery and floral picks hold apples and red ornaments in place.

Reindeer & Sleigh Napkin Rings deliver tartan napkins. . .

dsc_8088-001

I found the napkin rings at Ballard Designs and ordered a set of 4. When they arrived, I wished I had ordered 8, but they were sold out before Thanksgiving. Hopefully they’ll be back in stock again next year.

I LOVE the dinnerware! I’ve actually been looking to replace my current set with these for the past couple of years. Your table looks beautiful. The perfect setting to have a quiet dinner by the tree, slow things down for an evening and just enjoy the moment.

This is one of the most beautiful tables you have presented..two of my favorites are the reindeer napkin rings and the Stafford plates! I learned a long time ago that if you don’t buy when you see something you like, when you go back to get it or get more, it’s gone..🎄❤️🎄❤️🎄❤️

Holiday spirit touches this house! When I try to name a favorite table item, I find myself unexpectedly silent, because, the more I look, I see every single detail perfectly chosen and in its place to complement the next. One’s guests could do no more than relish in the comfort of knowing that everything has been prepared to welcome them and make them feel at ease and part of the joy that will unfold. Turn on the carols and recall what true hospitality entails. This is, indeed, its own sort of advertising (and how sad that word evokes stress). But, this is done in the most emotionally alluring and authentic way. It is heartfelt and generous! Please absolutely enjoy these ten days before Christmas and also the official Ten Days of Christmas that commence on December 25th! You are ready. From a stranger far away, yet a kindred spirit, “Bravo!”

Love your Scottish holiday table! Merry Christmas!

The tartan throw set the background for your lovely, Christmas-y table, Mary. Your new Royal Stafford plates have such a homey, old fashioned appeal. How I love your pretty reindeer centerpiece and your napkin rings, and your twinkling tree in the scene. I also love how you mixed up different Mercury glass votives. Your photo could be a Christmas card.

Every single thing about this tablescape is GORGEOUS! You can never go wrong with a Tartan plaid. I am quite taken with the reindeer sleigh centerpiece filled with all those natural elements. The flatware is fabulous, as are the dishes. The reindeer napkins rings are the perfect touch with the mercury glass votives twinkling. You never fail to showcase everything beautifully. Thank-you for another divine post!
