I love setting table in celebration for the holidays and seasons . . .

fall, including Thanksgiving, is my favorite time of year!

What I love about Thanksgiving is that it’s a holiday centered on gathering together,

spending time with family or friends, feasting and giving thanks.

Our weather in November is typically mild, often in the 60s or 70s on Thanksgiving day. . .

comfortable for alfresco or porch dining.

Oh gurl!!!! I NEED this plate! Im trying to get to create a mixed collection of RS for Thanksgiving but clearly did not patronize Homegoods in August! 😖. Tom would be a perfect addition snd a welcome new member to my table!
My fav thing at Thanksgiving is sharing a drum stick with my adult son. We both love that part of the turkey. He’s been claiming the drumstick since he was old enough for solid food! The extended family love watching us reach for those two drummers simultaneously!

I’ve pinned Tom on my tablescape Pinterest file and follow and stalk you everywhere on social media.

    Happy Thanksgiving!🦃🍁🍽

Beautiful setting for your Thanksgiving tablescape, Mary. The new turkey dishes caught my eye as well, but I resisted. Your rafter collection is amazing. I really love your plate stack with the wood charger against the burnished copper. The burnished finish is quite handsome to me. I have brighter copper and almost feel like aging them outside to get that patinaed look and feel. All the pumpkins and florals surrounding the patio wall make for a totally cozy spot. I can envision lots of lingering after dinner there, or even a pontoon cruise and back. Your pardoned Tom certainly is strutting his stuff as thanks to the gesture of elevating him as centerpiece!
Thank you for being a continually part of these hops. I truly appreciate your participation.

How adorable that he was pardoned for “not being a tureen!” You crack me up!!! Your setting is gorgeous and perfect for an al fresco meal. With all the copper accents and beautiful turkey plates, it’s all so warm and cozy, I would definitely linger at this table! Happy Thanksgiving, my friend. Your Tom Turkey centerpiece is gorgeous. And you pardoned it from not being a tureen! Too funny! Your plate stack is perfect with the Turkey plates. And the copper elements make it all come together for an Autumnal Thanksgiving gathering.

Good morning, Mary! I love the new RS turkey plates. My local TJ Maxx has quit carrying pretty tableware. I have to drive 60 miles to the nearest HG. I guess it helps my plate addiction 🤣 I love the table by the lake and it would be lovely to dine there for Thanksgiving or anytime. The Tom Turkey cookie jar makes a stunning statement on the table. The beaded runner is striking against the plaid. I love all the quotes. It is a pleasure to have a seat at your table and enjoy your many talents! Happy and blessed season of Thanksgiving!

Well, Mary, Thanksgiving with these fun turkeys sitting lakeside rates at the top of my favorite spots for sharing a Thanksgiving table. Love that Tom Turkey was pardoned from being a tureen. His tail feather spread is the best, and I’ll be smiling and giggling all day with thoughts of him strutting his stuff and the last image of his behind. Love your sense of play at the table and for each of us here who visit your amazingly creative tables. Your gorgeous leaf embroidered runner tabletop is striking. I love a layered look, and you do it to perfection. You know the harvest turkey plates delight. The pumpkin detail on the borders is stunning.
We finally had a long, soaking rain last night, and I woke to cool temps and a garden that already looks refreshed. Fingers crossed that we have some real fall weather now. Thanks again and again for your friendship all these years, and for inspiring me with each post you share. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your guy and those precious pups.

Wonderful table as usual. THE PLATES ! I am so glad I did not see these. I don’t have room for any more plates LOL. They would have had to drag me out of the store. Everything goes together so perfectly. Glad you pardoned the turkey. Keep up the good work.

Stuffing is right at the top for a favorite Thanksgiving dish but the mashed potatoes and gravy are up there too! Of course I use my home grown potatoes – so much better than store bought! My favorite potato is the French Fingerling – lots of flavor and buttery. But there are many varieties that I grow and love. I agree with Mary Anne McWhirter – “We are all so thankful for you Mary!”

I pinned many of your precious quotes, turkey plates and of course that gorgeous Turkey Cookie Jar!

  15. November 5, 2024 at 11:41 am

The sunny outdoor setting lakeside is just beautiful Mary! Your pardoned turkey tureen centerpiece looks very proud to be the center of attention! The embroidered leaf runner looks lovely on the plaid tablecloth. The turkey on your RS plates looks just like your centerpiece turkey! The plates look so pretty on the wood and copper chargers.
The napkins are so pretty with their ruffled turkey fantail edge, and the gold stemware is perfect. The throws add a wonderful feeling of cozy, and the pumpkins and mums are beautiful. I really enjoyed the Thanksgiving quotes, thank you for including them. I hope you continue to have a wonderful November!

What a beautiful view Mary! I was immediately drawn to your plaid table covering. It looks so cozy. I think your Tom turkey cookie jar looks right at home as your centrepiece! Your plates are so pretty, and are perfect stacked on the wood chargers. The ruffle on the napkins is a really nice element! Happy Thanksgiving :)

Your Tom turkey cookie jar is quite eye catching taking center stage. Love the RS turkey plate followed by the wooden chargers and burnished copper. Love the leaf tablecloth, so colorful and perfect for your autumn table.

Mary, Your alfresco table is beautiful! The copper accents are really pretty. Your turkey centerpiece is exquisite! Your turkey plate collection is a wonderful idea as there are so many patterns available, all of which I would probably want! 😂 HomeGoods always has a few options it seems along with Williams Sonoma. The Royal Stafford are always a favorite in our house it seems. Enjoy your afternoon. Clara❤️

Mary what a lovely table by the water. Your pardoned tom turkey is certainly strutting his stuff especially since he no longer has to hold hot liquids, but delicious cookies. Who doesn’t love a cookie? The burnished chargers and napkin rings are conducive to your Fall pieces. Luv ’em! The runner is so colorful picking up all the Autumnal colors of your table. I am also admiring your RS plates as the turkey and pumpkins are so perfect with ole’ Tom and scream over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house we go for Thanksgiving. Have a wonderful November.🦃🦃🦃🦃🍁

The turkey fantail napkins and the amber goblets add the perfect warmth along with the cozy throws, pumpkins, and mums. I’ve always loved your beautiful lakeside tables Mary! I imagine myself sitting there enjoying the wonderful table setting and listening to the water. You must love it! And I love your center turkey cookie jar – so perfect with the plates. They look like they were designed together! And the amber goblets top it all off! Plus, how fun to see your fire pit area. I don’t know that I’ve ever noticed what’s between your table and the water before. I could imagine snuggling up there after dinner with a little glass of port and a fire! And the pumpkin wall – charming! The picture from above is fabulous – your whole patio is so invitingly warm and cozy! Always so fun hopping with you. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  30. November 7, 2024 at 6:50 am

Your lakeside table is a perfect setting for a relaxed Thanksgiving dinner. I could definitely look at that serene lakeside view for the entire day and then curl up in the throw for the evening. Tom turkey is the perfect centerpiece and goes so well with the Royal Stafford turkey plates. The colorful leaf runner works beautifully with the checked tablecloth adding texture and interest to the table. The amber goblets are a perfect addition to the table setting. Wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving!

Mary, I always look forward to seeing the wonderful tables you share! I love the vibrant mix of colors, patterns — and textures too! — that you’ve layered perfectly on a Thanksgiving table. The beautifully embroidered runner is striking against the warmth of the plaid tablecloth. While the colors of orange, persimmon, brown and tan predominate, the jolts of green, gold and red add lively energy. The plate stack is perfect for celebrating a fall holiday and Tom Turkey makes a majestic centerpiece! I hope you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving.
