I love every recipe and table scape. My favorite part of Thanksgiving is opening all of the canned jars from the summer…… Spiced peaches, Strawberry blueberry and peach jalapeno jelly to serve with my appetizer cheese platter. Last but not least ,zucchini pickles for the leftover turkey sandwiches :)
Thanks Mary for the inspiration. Pecan pie and a refrigerator dessert are traditions along with serving both mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes along with dressing for just 2 people. We’re definitely carb heavy at Thanksgiving! Clara❤️
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday to celebrate the beauty of fall, family and delicious food! My favorite tradition is to prepare our pies while the Macy’s parade is on in the background. The aroma of turkey baking in the oven speaks “home and family”! Thank you for your blog Mary, it always inspires! I would be honored to win one of your beautiful “Toms”. Jerrie 🦃

Thanksgiving is all about being grateful for all the Lord has done me and celebrating that with family around traditional foods.
Thanks for always inspiring me!
Can’t wait to try the rosemary gratin potatoes- I pinned the recipe.
Our favorite Thanksgiving traditional food is our turkey sausage stuffing, rich with butter, vegetable broth, sautéed onions, apples and celery. We no Longer stuff the bird with it but make two enormous casserole dishes to serve along side all the rest of the traditional components. Not only do we have it on the big day but make up take away containers for all the guests. We pinned your turkey plates and table scapes on our pintresst board and shared your post with our best friends. Thank you Mary for your continued inspiration and joy of the season.
Thank you Mary for the beauty that you bring to our ur life. My favorite Thanksgiving food has always I be a small slice of each pie. We always have peanut, pecan, and sweet potato pies. Yumm!
My favorite Thanksgiving custom is a walk in between dinner and dessert. This is taken by women , children ,and dogs of the family while the men clean up the mess and put out the desserts and coffee and mulled cider which we all will enjoy when we. come back in.
Like many others, I think my favorite thanksgiving food has to be the pies. There’s always apple and pumpkin and sometimes a third surprise one. Thank you for a wonderful giveaway!
I have been a long-time follower for many years. Though I don’t comment often, I do enjoy each and every post. Thank you for all the work you put in.
Our favorites are the pies, apple and pumpkin. I pinned the pumkin butter. I enjoy all your posts🙂 Lynn
My favorite Holiday Tradition is to go around the table and ask everyone what they are thankful for. One cannot say,”I am thankful to be here with you all.” Comments can’t be duplicated. Comments have to be original. It really makes you ponder on your blessings.
I love it all!!!
I am a subscriber and enjoy your posts! (thankful for YOU!)
I pinned a post!
love all the wonderful recipes!
So many wonderful ideas. Im always looking for different appetizers for Thanksgiving giving. I loved the deviled eggs. I’ll be trying those out for sure. The other one that caught my eye was the cranberry and pecan leaves. I mat serve those as a cracker with some soft cheese. Such a beautiful post. I will be pinning the whole thing to my Home is where the boat is!
I should have never read this post on an empty stomach Mary, I want a bite of everything! Especially that Caramel Pecan Pumpkin Bread Pudding! So many great Thanksgiving recipes, thank you Mary! My favorite Thanksgiving food is stuffing, I always pass on the pumpkin pie, not a fan :) I can’t believe it’s almost November, gobble gobble!
Jenna
Thank you Mary for so many ideas and recipes. One stop shopping. I always enjoy cornbread stuffing and I wonder why I don’t make it more often. I love visiting to try the different recipes. Happy Halloween week.👻🎃
Making way too many dishes is my favorite Thanksgiving tradition cuz Who doesn’t like leftovers?!
Such Great ideas! I can’t wait for the pumpkin pie!
My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is to ask my grandchildren why they are thankful for each member of the family…some of these turn out to be funny and some are very sweet and sentimental. After sharing these I type them up and cut them apart in strips….I then fold the strips of paper, place them in a croissant roll….and then roll the croissant roll up and bake (like you would do a fortune cookie)….When we sit down to the table…each person tears their croissant open and reads the note inside….lots of love and laughter…Memories for a lifetime……Great way to begin a dinner of pure thankfulness….and I hope you know Mary…how thankful all of your followers are for you and the fun and creative ideas you so freely give — especially me….Can’t wait to try some of you new ideas as well as some of the old goldies! Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
One tradition in my family is my moms green 7up jello, with cream cheese topping.
My turkey collection is out! Thanks for all the great ideas!
I subscribed!
Your recipes look amazing, and I cannot wait to try some of them! My absolute favorite Thanksgiving food is the stuffing. It truly enhances the whole Thanksgiving meal!
I have been a long-time email subscriber. I absolutely love reading your blog.
I have also pinned pictures from this post on my Pinterest account!
Mary, you are always so generous with your thoughtful and timely giveaways. This turkey plate is yet a new one for me, so I’ve pinned it to my Turkey Talk Pinterest Board. Will need to find one to add to my rafter of turkey plates. Love the pumpkins around the border. I have not seen that before. I’m sharing this post with lots of friends who entertain for Thanksgiving. They will not only enjoy the visual treat, they will no doubt enjoy these recipes. Thank you!
I think my favorite Thanksgiving food is the stuffing. Not just any ol’ stuffing….I dry my own rustic bread and use cornbread too. Jimmy Dean sausage replaces the turkey giblets. Onions, parsley, spices and chicken base and a couple of eggs for binding bring it all together with lots of butter. The secret is not to get it too moist when preparing, especially if you are going to stuff it into the turkey (which I always do with a pan on the side also.) The stuffing will absorb moisture from the turkey as it cooks. I don’t like a stuffing that is soggy or mushy. Light and fluffy for me please!
I pinned several of your recipes and the Turkey Shaped Butter post. Thank you!
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I start food prep on Monday so Thanksgiving day isn’t stressful despite having a house full of people. My favorite Thanksgiving was when our daughter-in-law’s mother visited from Russia. Despite the language barrier, the look an her face said a thousand words. I always roast my turkey with a red current jelly glaze. I’ve been following you for years and have made a number of the recipes in the post. I would love a Tom dish so I even posted the picture to Pinterest. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
We always start our meal with Peanut Soup as George Washington did. Unusual but delicious!
Mary, my favorite Thanksgiving tradition is one my sister’s family created and continues now with my niece directing Pie Baking Day on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It is so much fun to watch these kids excited about participating each year with their siblings and cousins making pies. The pie dough is made from scratch, rolled and pressed into the pie pan. The five cousins take great pride in each of their pies – pumpkin, pecan, buttermilk, and cherry. And of course the left over pie dough is rolled, buttered, and sprinkled with cinnamon/sugar as was my German grandmother’s tradition I was raised on. Your pie dough leaves are an upscale version. I’ll have to make those! My favorite Thanksgiving treat is pecan pie. Monnie’s was pumpkin pie.
Thanksgiving is my very favorite holiday of all! I’ve followed your blog for years and a new traditional dessert has become your recipe for Pumpkin Caramel Pecan Bread Pudding (which I pinned)! Thankful to have found your blog many years ago, you bring so much beauty to my morning cup of coffee, especially this time of year. I would love the festive turkey plate to add to my Thanksgiving collection!
Happy Thanksgiving, Mary, I always look forward to your emails packed with so many ideas! My tradition is making a Spice Apple Cake, it’s work, but the reward is a delicious cake.
I love all your recipes! I saw a couple that I plan to try this year. My family’s favorite Thanksgiving dish is Candied Yams. My daughter has also started a new tradition a few years ago making a pumpkin roll for the big day. I LOVE the Tom plate and would love to add him to my collection. I’m a long time folllower of your wonderful and inspiring blog!!! Sheryl
My favorite tradition one year was the adults sang Thanksgiving songs and the kids looked at us like we were a bunch of weirdos. I intended
D the songs for the kids, but the adults ended up enjoying it more
It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie made from a REAL pumpkin. Easier than you’d think, just bake in the oven, scoop, and run through the food processer. We think it tops Libby’s. Subscriber, and pinned the darling butter turkey. Happy Fall!
My favorite tradition is serving the same traditional dishes for the meal but with a different dessert each year. I think this year it will be the Caramel-Pecan- Pumpkin Bread Pudding ftom this post. Thanks for the recipe.
I pinned the photo of the Caramel-Pecan-pumpkin Bread Pudding. It looks delicious!
I am a follower/subscriber. Thanks for the giveaway.
Mary, this a fabulous round-up of recipes for Thanksgiving or anytime during the holidays. I would love any of these recipes because I just love food ☺️! Pecan Pie Muffins are calling my name and my sweet Daddy would love them. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us! Happy week to you 🍂🦃🧡🍂
I love reading everyone’s ideas. I read this years ago.. maybe in Martha Stewart magazine, but mixed in with all the matching dinner plates you have one “Tom turkey “ plate that is different and the person that gets that one from the buffet line gets a prize! I tape a paper turkey to a plate bottom instead. I also have chocolate foil covered turkeys at each place setting. Happy Holidays!
Oh, wow. Lots of inspiration here. We have hosted family Thanksgiving many, many times and between dinner and dessert, we play bingo for prizes, sometimes White Elephant prizes. Others bring the pies, but your mini pumpkins seem like I may give them a try.
Hi ~Mary~ does peanuts and candy corn count ?? I can’t wait for pumpkin pie, cranberry salad, and sweet potatoes . Your recipes are amazing as always Mary !! Blessings from Indiana Paula
I pinned the collage photo toward the end of this post. I love all the tips and tricks.
Hey Mary, my favorite Thanksgiving food, besides the turkey of course, is my pumpkin pie. My recipe uses Eagle Brand condensed milk and makes the best pumpkin pie I have ever tasted. I believe it is similar to one used by you for your miniature pumpkin pies. Of course I pinned one of your pics, one with a turkey plate. You are always so generous with your giveaways!
Homemade cranberry sauce and dressing are my favorites! I pinned the pecan pie muffins! I am a subscriber. I’ve been making the cranberry pecan pie crust leaves for many years now. A family favorite!
Homemade cranberry sauce and filling ( or stuffing or dressing depending what part of the country you are from) are my favorites with mashed potatoes and gravy a close second. When my son was little ( he is 44 now) we were silly one Thanksgiving and put olives in with our mashed potatoes…I still do that as a reminder of my little boy now a grown man.❤️
I pinned the popcorn recipe ( I adapt it for different holidays (Christmas, Valentines Day, Easter, 4th of July), Halloween and Thanksgiving ) and mail to the grands who live way to far from Grammy. I will use many of these recipes till Dec 1 when I switch to Christmas recipes. Thanks for the great post.
My favorite Thanksgiving food is my maternal Grandmother;s old fashion recipe for stuffing.
Marion
I’ve subscribed and also pinned several recipes, then finally pinned the pic of the lot of them to save my fingers! Can’t wait to share with my daughters.
Using my Grandmother; turkey platter.
Joan
Mashed potatoes and for dessert Dutch covered apple pie.
Marilyn
I pinned the potting shed with the turkey plates and platters. I, too, love to mix and match my turkey plates. Recipes we cannot have Thanksgiving without are my mother’s pumpkin pie recipe and bread stuffing, plus my daddy’s favorite – mashed rutabagas. We also make your roasted harvest veggies – not as a salad, but as a veggie side dish. I honestly had never tasted a parsnip until I tried your recipe! I am a long time subscriber and admirer of yours! :)
We used to go to my Aunt’s for Thanksgiving every year! So fun to be with family. When we couldn’t do it anymore she still wanted to have Thanksgiving and said the last Hurrah! Miss this special time.
I made your Apple Pumpkin Bundt cake and the Soup shooters. Both delicious.
I pinned the small pumpkin pies!
Mary what a wonderful collection of recipes and Thanksgiving ideas!! Our favorite Thanksgiving traditional dish is my mothers fresh ham. It would not be Thanksgiving without it. She would be up all hours of the night cooking the ham and then top it with pineapple, brown sugar and cloves.
She is no longer with us but we keep the tradition going and it reminds us of her.
Wonderful memories!
Mary, I have pinned quite a few of your recipes but I had missed the mini pumpkin pies and a few others. So they are now on my Pinterest board!
Thank you so much for the beautiful pictures and steps to make your recipes! Greatly appreciated!!
Mary! This is a beautiful recipe filled post! I pinned the pumpkin-chocolate harvest Bundt cake, looks so delicious! I got a big kick out of the cheese “pie slices” what a clever idea!!
One of my favorite traditions at Thanksgiving is all the baking that we do, there is always room for one more pie or another side dish, maybe extra hot rolls, lol.
Thank you for your wonderful blog you create, sure enjoy it!
Diana
We always have 2 pumpkin pies, 2 pecan pies, and a cranberry meringue pie for dinner. I also buy foil take away pans at the Dollar tree so everyone can take some home for later!
Hi Mary,
As a subscriber I look forward to every post. Such beautiful tablescapes, and awesome recipes.
Thanksgiving would not be complete at our home without candied sweet potatoes, and pumpkin pie.
I pinned several recipes and the beautiful Tom plates surrounded by color ! Just beautiful
What wonderful ideas you share. I look forward to your posts. Cranberry salad and sweet potato casserole are stables at out Thanksgiving feast.
Mary, Thanksgiving for me starts the day after Halloween.
I begin baking my breads and freezing them. My house feels so warm and cozy.
Most of all Thanksgiving makes me realize how blessed I am.
What a wonderful giveaway! I am already a subscriber, and I just pinned a photo and started following you on Pinterest. My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is gathering with my dear family and cooking for them. It is such a joy to be able to do that, and I praise God that He spared all our lives to see another autumn. May He bless you this fall season! Thank you for the opportunity to win!
Mary, my mother was always the Thanksgiving Day Host. Then as the years went by, I became the host for the family. Now she’s 88 and doesn’t really like to travel much, (even though we live 40 minutes away at beautiful Lake Chelan) so now things have come full circle. My husband and I take Thanksgiving to her. Turkey and all the trimmings. So we are
all back to “mom’s house” for Thanksgiving once again! Blessings to you and yours!
Love your recipes, your presentation is stellar!!! I really look forward to seeing your posts. Thank you for all the fabulous ideas.
Oh Mary, I’m sitting here drooling over each and every recipe!! My favorite Thanksgiving food is pecan pie, although it’s really hard to choose. Thank you for your wonderful recipes that you share with your beautiful photos.
What inspiration! Everything here looks so beautiful. I’m a little down about Thanksgiving this year because I’m going to be alone. I’ve gone from hosting Thanksgiving every year for 35 years, to having lost so many people that it will be a table for one this year. Despite that, I am going to keep traditions alive and set the table with the Johnson Brothers “His Majesty“ dishes that I have been using since I started hosting Thanksgiving. I am absolutely obsessed with Thanksgiving dinnerware because Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.
I love the molded butter. Clever you for keeping the packaging that it came in when you bought it so that you could make some more. If ever I see that in my area, I’m definitely going to buy it.
So hard to choose a favorite, but I love cornbread dressing made with ground beef and dried fruits and pecans. Also homemade cranberry sauce made with orange juice and fresh ginger. But…my very favorite Thanksgiving dish is gumbo made with the turkey carcass the day after. I used a smoked turkey carcass for the first time last year and it was even better I think.
Without a question of a doubt you inspire me to get “cooking” Thank you Mary!
Call it stuffing, call it dressing…it’s my Thanksgiving favorite. What other time can you have such sanctioned bread eating! Love all your tablescapes and floral tips.
Total feast for the eyes! Your blog posts are unmatched and I sincerely thank you for them one and all. My favorite Thanksgiving food has got to be cornbread dressing WITH cranberry sauce. Can’t have one without the other….well, I guess some people can. I’ve tried unsuccessfully for forty three years to get my husband to embrace the cranberry sauce. What the heck is wrong with him? LOL!!!
I love the leftovers when I can enjoy a turkey sandwich and actually relax!
There’s a traditional jello mold my mom made at holidays, and we carry on this tradition. The joke is she would always forget to bring it out and then realize, “the mold!” So we all yell this out now when it’s brought to the table. Another tradition is too much dang food at Thanksgiving! Leftovers go home with everyone, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
I’ve subscribed and pinned several recipes and finally pinned the picture of ALL the recipes to save my fingers!
My favorite dish at Thanksgiving is sweet potato casserole. Yummo! Should make it more often I think ❤️
All of your recipes that I’ve tried have been fabulous. I’ve pinned the turkey charcuterie today. So cute!
One of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions has become making a pretty punch in the punch bowl I inherited from my mother-in-law. I set it up on a buffet in my sunroom, surrounded by some cookies to nibble on and the glorious homemade pies. It really sets a festive tone!
Oh my goodness, I was drooling while reading this post! I will be back to make some decisions on what to make!!
