All Aboard

I’m joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday

Thank you, Susan, for hosting such a fun event & providing dishaholics everywhere with a weekly fix ~

Instead of setting a table on my porch, I packed a picnic and set the pontoon for this week’s tablescape. . .

We had the a few mornings of temperatures in the mid 50’s,  just a tease. . . but enough to make me long to pull out the throws, blankets, open the windows, and build a fire~ a bit premature, but I’ ve got fall fever now :-)

Join for me for a boat ride, munch on some grapes. . .

The beauty of a pontoon is you can putt slowly enough that you don’t spill your drink. . .

Or drop your slice of cheese :-)

Make yourself comfortable. . .

If you prefer, we can just sit here and enjoy the serenity of the lake, now that it’s after Labor Day, and the crowds are gone. . .

. . .including those noisy jet skis :-)

Goblets/ Hobby Lobby

For more tablescape fun, be sure to visit the Porch. . .

    This looks delightfully beautiful!
I have moved Back Porch Musings to Typepad, long story.:-)
Clicking my name should take you to the blog there. It’s still Back Porch Musings but the look is a tad different and the address has changed.
    Hope to see you there.

Oh, how nice it would be to live on this lake and spend the early evening floating and enjoying a glass of wine with the nibbles of cheese, crackers, and fruit. I do miss our boat sometimes, though we didn’t live on the lake. All the colorful pillows on your pontoon look so inviting I may not leave. This is a delightful post. ~ Sarah

I’m planning on a trip down to NC this fall. Lake Norman is lovely in the fall and I’d love a trip!

What a gorgeous fall setting on the lake! My parents used to have a pontoon, and your post brought back such great memories. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, Mary…this is gorgeous. It is torturous to see these pictures & not be there in person! That boat is absolutely breathtaking in itself. It’s like a floating 5-star resort. Very impressive…Love, A

Please set me a plate for your picnic on the pontoon. Cheese and fruit are tips with me. Joni

Wow, girl, you’ve got it all together on this one. My boat tablescapes are not quite so lovely. Speaking of boats, my husband is calling for me as he is ready to leave for a lunch trip to Castine.

How lovely! It makes me feel as if I’m somewhere foreign and not in America (don’t get me wrong, I love my country, I just like different things!). I hope I can use this beautiful idea some day. Thank you for the beauty:)

Wow, that is one swanky boat!

No fish guts or bait slime in sight. Gorgeous, and your waterborne feast is fabulous. I could stay forever in that setting! Beautiful.

What a delightful blog. Your pontoon boat is just lovely. Your lake could be in Maine. How does one follow your blog?

What a perfect menu on a perfect fall day. I’d love to join you on the pontoon – is there any of that baguette left?

Wow – Lovely! Like photos from a magazine.

Yes, I would love to wrap myself in that throw, sip wine from that gorgeous goblet, nibble on the champagne grapes and cheese and crackers and go for a quiet spin on the lake without the noise of the jetskiis! Beautiful! Linda

Oh, this is just wonderful! How do you ever leave? Everything is just perfect. I absolutely love that throw. So autumn! Grapes, cheese, wine, crackers – it all is so beautifully presented. Sigh…

I cannot even tell you how much we adore it when people leave after labor day! We LOVE it!! This post is simply perfect! How I would love to picnic with you on that beautiful boat with all of our bichons snuggled in the pillows and the throw! It’s a little piece of heaven you have there.
