At the Table~ Mosaic & Butterflies

DSC_0203-001

I’m at the table with a mosaic of vibrant colors and elements~

a flowering centerpiece, butterflies,

and Pfaltzgraff Mosaic dinnerware.

The Pfaltzgraff Mosaic dinnerware collection brings the vibrant colors of nature to the table. The bright white stoneware is surrounded by a green mosaic tiled rim, adorned with vivid  and colorful flowers and butterflies.

Butterflies have winged their way to the table not only on the dinnerware, but also on glasses, napkin rings, a runner and are fluttering among the blooms in the centerpiece.

A butterfly adorned garden stool migrated from its normal habitat in a bedroom for a tray to alight with mugs and 20 ounce bowls~ convenient for soup, cereal or a generous serving of ice cream.

Napkins with burgeoning flowers are pulled through napkin ring to mimic oversize butterfly wings and are in bloom with the vivid colors of the Mosaic pattern.

A planter is filled with blue lobelia, yellow biden, and red verbena for a bright centerpiece~ an irresistible source of nectar for butterflies found colonizing at Michaels.

What a wonderful feast for the eyes. I love everything about this tablescape, but the napkins are particularly eye-catching. Simply gorgeous.

This is beautiful. I am sure you will be able to use this often this summer and can see so many options for different combinations. I love mosaics and this one with the vivid colors is stunning. Great table and setting! xo marlis

WOW! I love the combo plates and butterflies….The mosaic pattern is fantastic, and I really like those napkins! I need to get to Kohl’s ASAP!

Each element complements everything else in this tablescape, Mary. I love it!

You are doing them proud. They are lucky to have landed you with all your multi talents and pieces your creative vision can only enhance any thing you can touch~ another wonderful wonderland created by YOU!

  15. May 13, 2013 at 10:24 am

You are blowing my mind here! Everything is beautiful, everything has butterflies, but the flatware and those glasses really wow me. Is the stemware La Rochere? I didn’t know they had butterfly glasses, if so. Love EVERYTHING!

I was thinking about you last night. I’m in big trouble with the mister. He brought home the most hideously colored vase (sort of a muddy pea green with yellow undertones) and equally unlovely artificial flowers. Ghastly. Truly. When I saw it I started to laugh, and wondered just what he was planning to do with it. When he told me that it was for me, I think the surprise/shock/revulsion registered on my face. Naturally he thought it was wonderful and I’m mentally wondering about the location of the nearest sewer. Anyway, I thought of you because you would probably know how to turn this sow into a silk purse.

Awwwww….snap!!! Rockin’, Mary! Lots and lots of vibrant color, just the way nature intended! Your camera really catches the color quite nicely, too. The napkin rings are one of my favorite features. I have managed to stay out of the stores lately, so I had not seen those at Pier 1. SO pretty! And even your napkins are shaped like wings in flight!!! Great use of the garden stool, too!

I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend!

Hi Mary, I am loving all the new Pfaltzgraff! This is a beautiful, bright pattern and I love the way you made the table even brighter with the runner and the centerpiece. I had that flatware in my basket the other day at Home Goods, wheeled it around the store then put it back because, well you know, I don’t really NEED it — but now I think I do! Gorgeous table! Mother of Mercy, your talents know NO BOUNDS!!!! I am totally blown away with this table! The flowering centerpiece takes my breath away. The dishes are exquisite. I wish I could go order a set but Joe might have a coronary:) Thank you so much for sharing this, it is ONE of my favorites. HOW could anyone pick a favorite when you constantly outdo yourself? XO, pinky

Can I come to your gathering? Looks idealic!

  24. May 14, 2013 at 7:23 am

Usually, I get all the way to the end of a post before the little pinning figure goes into action. Here, I just couldn’t wait. I love the whole wonderful table. My younger daughter is home for the week, and I can not wait to show her this. We call her the butterfly girl.

  25. May 14, 2013 at 4:05 pm

I just sit here, shaking my head, wondering how you do this fabulous a job, again & again. Every time you just knock my socks off.
Now I’m writing down the names of those plants so I can copy your arrangement. I didn’t even get the foil wrapper off my centerpiece before people arrived. LOL Pitiful, that is what it is. Just pitiful.

I did capture a photo of a butterfly on my liliacs, so thanks for reminding me about it.

    With admiring hugs,
    Rett
