Happy Sunday! Did you enjoy your extra hour of sleep this morning with the time change?
I woke up at my usual time this morning but an hour earlier according to the clock. These two were demanding breakfast according to clock in their tummies. I always struggle with the time change for the first week or so and drive my hubby crazy with comments like, “It’s really 9:00, not 8:00”. . . ;)
Fall has been late to arrive in North Carolina. The beginning of the week started out blustery, cold and with frost advisories. Just enough cold weather to cause the leaves to finally pop and pockets of color to dot the shoreline.
By the end of the week we were back in the 70s enjoying some beautiful boating weather for November. Monday’s forecast is calling for temperatures to reach the 80 degree mark. . . more fitting for flip flops than boots!
My hubby took this photo with his cell phone bright and early Thursday morning as he was boating over to take the pontoon in for its annual service. Perfect scenery for a little morning meditation or prayer.
We enjoyed a little boating time Friday morning and evening to take advantage of the warmer temperatures.
Here’s a little fall scenery and some watery reflections.
Spectacular shots!! This weekend almost has to be the “peak” of our (Central VA) Autumn foliage…driving the roadsides…it is just breathtaking!! Today…it’s FOG!! franki
This brightened my day with all the beautiful scenery and seeing your fur babies ready for breakfast. My grandmother refused to change her clock and lived that way. I too was up an hour earlier. Beautiful pictures. Have a great day!
Gorgeous Mary! The water always has a special sparkle in the fall light! Yes, I stay confused for days when the time changes~ I hope you have another great day on the water…
Thank you for the glimpse of fall! I live in southeast Texas and it still hot, i am looking forward to some cooler weather but you helped pave the way with you lovely photos!
Love your blog! Envious of your weather right now (not so much in the summer, yikes!), it’s snowing here, a bit early for the Pacific NW, we went from summer right into winter!
It takes me awhile to adjust to the time change, too, Mary! I was up bright and early, just like you.
Your pics are so gorgeous. We’ve had temps in the 90’s, so it’s hard to think like it’s Fall.
Absolutely love the pictures! I’m cracking the whip at my house today for everyone to finalize everything they need to do for our trip to Lake Norman. We’ll be there over Thanksgiving doing our first round of house hunting and we’re all so excited to see the area. Of course I see your pontoon pictures and the debate continues…move the ski boat across country or sell it here and change to a pontoon boat in North Carolina. I feel blessed that I have to make such silly decisions in my life! As you wrote, home is where the boat is :)
It snowed at our cabin in Tahoe this weekend and we’re getting ready for what looks like a beautiful ski season. Hope you have some great fall weather for us at Thanksgiving, and thanks again for the gorgeous photos. You’re helping us all realize that there are other places in this country just a beautiful as Tahoe and Northern California!
Your photos in the fall of the brilliant colors on the trees are always beautiful; something, though, about the photo with the reflection of the clouds on the water was breathtaking to me.
Thanks for the Lake views – we truly miss our times of vacationing there with one of my first cousins and his wife. He also had a pontoon boat – and would take us for long rides – He built on the lake pretty early on – his area was so quiet and peaceful – and then the “lake” grew lots of people! However, if you were there during the week – it was still wonderful! Sadly, they have passed on – but we still have some great memories of some very great times!
I’m always in awe when you post photos of that beautiful tree lined lake in the fall. The color is stunning, and the reflections captured on the water are sheer beauty. Happy autumn, Mary! Savor these last days of the season. I plan to!
The sunrise picture taken with the cell phone is Stunning! Love sunrises and sunsets on the water. The fur-babies are precious. Thanks for the very pretty fall lake tour, very enjoyable. 😊🐶
Mary, there is something magical about autumn and the water…beautiful and colorful reflections! It will take me several days to readjust my internal clock. Thank you for sharing your waterviews!
Thanks for sharing!!!🍁🍂🦃🌻☀️

Gorgeous!! My pup was up early too. Breakfast at 4 instead of 5. A nap will definitely be in order today. xoxo
