Happy Sunday!
Here’s a weekend waterview from Lake Norman.

It’s been a while since I shared a lake post and I’ve had a few comments and emails
about our lake level with the drought conditions back in the fall.
I’m happy to report that occasionally the weather man gets it right!

True to the predictions for an ‘El Niño Winter’,
it was a wet winter for the Southern US. We had more than
14 inches of rainfall for the month of January and February.

Our lake level went from this . . .

And back to normal lake levels again. . . .yippee!

Resident Canada geese are here year round but they seem
to congregate and flock together more in the early spring.

It won’t be long before we see baby goslings and larger flocks. . .

Nesting season is in full swing and a pair of Eastern Bluebirds have taken up residence
in our dovecote by the lake.

Boating activity has picked up with our warmer temperatures
and mercury hit the 80 degree mark this past week.

Lola and Sophie are are enjoying the warmer weather and a little chair time.

And ready for a boat ride!

We’ve enjoyed some beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the last several weeks. . .

Lola and Sophie wish you a
Happy St. Pawtrick’s Day!

And may trouble avoid you wherever you go.”

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I am so glad to hear that Lake Norman has recovered from the drought. I was so worried. While I was scrolling down your post, I was thinking that you didn’t need to show any table settings today because God has already shown the best table ever! And then I got to your quote at the end. Yes, He is the great artist!
Love the photos, and the lake scenes – so gorgeous. So awesome that the bluebirds have returned, but it’s no secret I despise those Canada geese. Lola and Sophie are living their best life! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Mary…I always enjoy your water pictures and the sunrise/sunset pictures are gorgeous! Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you and yours. Peace.
Good Morning Mary,
Thank you so much for the tea towels and the book. You made my St. Patrick’s Day. I wish I lived closer to you so I could give you a hug and a “Top of the Morning to you, Lassie”. God bless you in all that you do,
Tracey
Beautiful sunset pictures. it’s so nice to see the lake back to normal levels. Our bluebirds are nesting, too. Won’t be long before we start hearing baby birds in the garden. Lola and Sophie look delighted to be enjoying the outdoors. Thanks for sharing.

Oh Mary, The lake has recovered nicely. We’ve all had lots of badly needed rain and we’re so thankful for it. The sunrise and sunset shots are spectacular! All the beautiful colors are just magical. I love seeing all the birds and geese. I did enjoy that 80 degree day last week but we have a freeze warning tonight and tomorrow night. The girls are so cute in their headbands! They won’t be getting pinched today! Enjoy your day. Happy St. Patrick’s Day. Clara❤️
