Happy Monday!

It’s one of my favorite days of the month when I join my

Monday Morning Blooms’ friends to share some flower therapy!

We’re excited to welcome back Sarah, from Hyacinths for the Soul,

joining us as a special guest ‘bloomer’ today.

You can find my flower friends’ links at the bottom of this post.

October’s arrival, means rolling out the pumpkins. . .

our common theme for this month’s edition of Monday Morning Blooms!

A new sign provided a little fall inspiration

for some flower and pumpkin fun on The Potting Bench.

Pumpkin Blossom Farms . . .my dream farm where you can pick all manner of pumpkins and flowers!

There is also no humidity and the temperature hovers between 60 – 70 degrees.  ;)

Flowers and pumpkins are two of my favorite things and I love to combine

the two for a seasonal centerpiece for a fall or Thanksgiving table.

Pink spray roses, wax flower and alstroemeria from the grocery store join

garden hydrangeas, Chaste tree seed pods and abelia foliage

to make a blooming pumpkin centerpiece.

I made this blooming pumpkin the EASY way!

Typically, you hollow out your pumpkin to make a vase for your flowers,

but cutting through the hard skin and flesh can be a challenge and hazardous.

Skipping this step saves time, prevents potential accidents,

AND it extends the life of your pumpkin!

I didn’t do step-by-step photos for this blooming pumpkin,

but can you find the steps and method, HERE.

I tucked in some sprigs of wax flower and abelia.

Despite leaving plenty of blooms on the shrubs, the bees buzzed their way over ;) 🐝

Limelight Hydrangeas have made their fall metamorphosis, turning rosy shades of pink. . .

I love this unexpected use of soft pinks to the utmost in your fall floral display, Mary. Besides the flowers themselves, those plates and the sign tie beautifully. If that’s the same plaid cloth you’ve used recently, it’s given some great mileage. I really like it. I miss the Smith & Hawken garden store chain. I love how the bees are still as busy as they were in summer. Thank you for the fall beauty on your potting bench. Your inspiration played out is our treat.

    Good Morning, Mary.
Your new sign was an attractive inspiration for your blooming pumpkin. The soft pink flowers were the perfect match for your sign. I love your scalloped plates, which add even more softness to your stunning potting bench.
Thank you also for the recipe for the Apple Cider Moscow Mule. Perfect for the season.
I always appreciate your incredible inspiration! Thank you!

Mary, the new sign provided wonderful inspiration for the setting on your potting bench. Your blooming pumpkin filled with the soft colors of spray roses, wax flower, alstroemeria, garden hydrangeas, seed pods and abelia is just perfectly beautiful! The grapevine wreath on the gable vent with sprigs of blooms and the copper watering cans of limelight hydrangeas are lovely additions to the potting bench. I can imagine bees were buzzing all around. I love the scalloped pumpkin plates that are embracing the softer shades of autumn. They are charming paired with copper accents. I don’t remember seeing them before. Your pumpkin collection of soft colors is perfect! My limelights didn’t turn to their soft pink color. With our drought, they just turned brown. I can’t wait to see your Halloween table tomorrow 🎃

Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations. I look forward to our Monday Morning Blooms. Happy Monday and wishing you a beautiful autumn season 🍂🧡🍂

Mary….i look forward to the opening of Pumpkin Blossoms Farm 🤣🤣🤣 and will make the trip down from Virginia. Your pictures are so inspiring! We are heading to an apple orchard today as I can applesauce and bake pies and apple cake. I will probably have to buy pumpkins too! Happy Fall! Peace.

Mary, beautiful sign! Love the soft pinks with copper. Your hydrangeas are stunning and I really like the mix with wax flowers. I have several wax flower plants. One of my favorite easy plants to grow!
Your pumpkin china is lovely and is a perfect match with your tablescape! It certainly feels like summer here but your potting bench screams cool fall weather!
    Many thanks!!

Pumpkin Blossom Farms is so pretty in pastels Mary! Love all the soft pinks, white and pale oranges tones on your Potting Bench, and the copper pieces add a wonderful Fall feel. Mary, I’m ready for a day at Pumpkin Blossom Farm! And I have serious hydrangea envy! My oak leaf hydrangeas or long ago bloomed out, and they never turn a pretty pink. They go from white to brown. I have to rely on TJ’s for my hydrangea blooms, and they rarely have much other than the common white or green. Seeing all your wonderful copper pieces makes me sigh with delight. The copper gable vent and pediment offers the perfect detail and sets off that beautiful wreath. I always wish for a potting shed everytime I see yours! I’m not surprised the bees are buzzing around this beautiful tablesetting with the arrangement of spray roses, wax flower, alstroemeria, garden hydrangeas, seed pods, and abelia. The flowers on your pumpkin have me planning a copycat pumpkin of my own. I wish I had such interesting little corners to tuck pumpkins here and there. I need to work on a plan. I’m headed to the fall Round Top markets, and a copper watering can is on my list. One never knows what treasures might be waiting. I’m smitten with your blue harvest pumpkin plates with the soft images and scalloped edges. You always find the best seasonal table pieces.
Thank you for including me as a “guest bloomer” this month. I’m always eager to join this wonderful monthly post.

Mary, Your sign is lovely and your potting bench is gorgeous! I love the pretty pink roses and softer toned pumpkins this time of year as we’re still in the 90’s! Your pumpkin bouquet is outstanding! Tonight a cold front will change the temps down to a high of the 70’s so we’re excited for that front to come in! By tomorrow, I’ll be ready for traditional autumn tones. Have a great week! Clara❤️

Absolutely beautiful. I love the way the hydrangeas bring on a slightly coppery pink for fall. The beautiful pink roses and the other beautiful little flowers that complete your arrangement. The copper watering cans and pinkish pumpkins bring it all together!!! Just gorgeous!!!

Mary, this is absolutely stunning! I love the pastel theme and those hydrangeas and spray roses are such a pretty color in your blooming pumpkin. The new sign is so cute and the pumpkin plates are perfect. I didn’t know that pumpkins came in those wonderful shades but everything looks so great on the potting bench. Happy Monday!

Mary, your new sign is gorgeous along with your beautiful blooming pumpkin. The pumpkin plate are so lovely. The potting bench looks so pretty with the soft pinks, an unexpected color for autumn. The copper really pops, one of my favorite fall colors. A pleasure visiting. I am so looking forward to the Halloween Blog hop.

*Sigh* – oh Mary, it is absolutely stunning.

  25. October 10, 2024 at 11:51 am

So much to see here. I love your non-traditional colors in the table setting with the pastels. I also love all of the flowers that you have used. When I see things like this, I really miss living on an acre and having all of the flowers that I used to have. All I do now is deck garden, and while I get a good many flowers, I don’t get nearly enough to do what I would like to do. Love those pumpkin napkin rings. I’m not sure how those escaped me. Beautiful, Mary.
