Spooky and frivolous fun aside, the devastation left behind by Hurricane Helene is very scary and serious. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who lost family members and their homes and businesses due to Helene. 🙏
Samaritan’s Purse is responding in five locations after Hurricane Helene left a 500-mile trail of devastation from the Gulf Coast of Florida to the mountains of western North Carolina. North Carolina’s High Country is near and dear to our hearts, and many communities there as well as in eastern Tennessee, are cut off by damaged roads, downed trees, and historic flooding, without food, water or cell phone service. Samaritan’s Purse has begun emergency airlift operations in Western North Carolina to help churches and organizations caring for people who are without access to basic necessities.
If you are able to make a donation to help aid in the disaster relief,
you can visit Samaritan’s Purse or The American Red Cross.
God bless the linemen, relief workers and volunteers providing help and supplies. ♥

Oh Mary, so VERY glad you’re okay. When I didn’t see your weekly email, I sent thoughts and prayers your way wishing for you and your family’s well being! XO
Thank you Karen. ♥ We were fortunate not have any flooding here or lose power, unlike so many. Our internet was down for 4 days due to damage to a cable and I don’t have the bandwidth on my phone to upload photos or post. It’s heartbreaking to see and hear about the devastation in western NC.
My friends have a second home up in the mountain near Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. They have a whole house generator and Starlink. They like Starlink so much they have it in both homes. They managed to leave and return home safely.
Once again your post brought smiles to my heart! I just love the many witchy table settings but I think my favorite accessory is the bowl that says you’ve been poisoned on the bottom! Hope you have a wonderful Halloween season. Peace.
Mary, such a fun post! I don’t think I can pick a favorite. I love the old fashioned Halloween figures and postcards and everything Halloween!! I’ve saved so many posts, pictures and recipes! They always bring a smile to my face and my Amazon wish list keeps growing!!
I cannot imagine the devastation and suffering of so many people in North Carolina. My prayers are certainly with them. Asheville has always been a favorite place for me and my husband.
We had 5 feet of surge at our beach house in SW Florida but fortunately no water damage inside. We did have others on our island whose homes burned and flooded. Many had work still going on from Ian.
So happy you and your family and lake stayed safe!
Samaritans Purse is doing such a wonderful thing for reaching all that need help from this devastation. I am so happy that you are okay.
Thank you for your fun and creative spirit, Mary. You inspire all of us. October blessings to you 🍁🤎🍁
What a fabulous round up of Halloween fun from you Mary, the Queen of Halloween! I am so glad you are ok, every day the news and pictures of the devastation from Helene gets worse. Thanks to the many who are helping and prayers and prayers for all those suffering. I donated to Samaratin’s Purse yesterday~
Jenna
Mary, who could possibly choose a favorite?! Rod and Roweena look fetching lakeside and in the mountains. Your treats are always fabulous! As the “Queen” of Halloween, you amaze me that you find so many fun things to add to your vast collection! 🎃
I pray for all of those who have been devastated by Helene. It is heartbreaking🙏🏻
I have friends in the NC area who are, fortunately, okay. My heart breaks for all others. Thank you for this wonderful post. I am always just blown away by everything that you have for Halloween. I have much of what you have here (though not nearly as much as you do), and considering I have the owl cakelette pan and have never used it, you’ve encouraged me to do so here.
Love this synopsis of all your spooktacular setups
23 Spooktacular Tablescapes, Mary! I say this on repeat, but you should publish a book. You already have the photos and text. I would love to have this all in book form for instant inspiration. I would buy multiple copies and gift them! Your tables are all fantastic. You could do a series of books for each holiday or season. I wish I had that owlet cake pan. Let me know if you know of one. I don’t see it on Sur La Table. Eager to see your new version of a Halloween table. You have endless creativity that always inspires me.
You’re too kind Sarah {*blush*}. There is a 2-pack silicone owl cakelet pan set on Amazon that very similar to the one I have, HERE. 🦉 Looking forward to hopping with next week!🍽️🎃
Mary,
I’m so thankful you all are safe. Have been praying for all our southern states so affected by Helene. Now I won’t get to see Chimmey Rock as it was. :( God help those precious people! I’m on vacation this week, but praying for all those affected.
Thank you Cyndi, they can use all the prayers they can get.🙏 The loss of life is way worse than you’ve been seeing on the news. I’m heartsick over it and the lack of aid from FEMA. All the aid and supplies are coming from private citizens, churches and organizations like Samaritan’s Purse.
I am so very glad you are ok. This hurricane has been devastating. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by it.
Thank you for always bringing the Halloween joy! I am always in awe, every year, with your creativity and eye for the magical, fun of Halloween!
You always inspire me- thank you so much!
You have so many amazing Halloween things plus the bonus skeleton couple, our favorites.
So glad you escaped the ravages of Helene. So tragic. If anyone can, please donate to Samaritan’s Purse. They help worldwide. They were lucky to get out but must have trailers in other locations. The road buckled near them.
Always remember “You never know when the last time will be the last time”
Having said that, Mary we so appreciate the joy you bring into our lives every week. Hostess with the mostess !
Mary, 23 Halloween tablescapes – this is incredible. Wow! I love your round-up here, so much delightful eye candy and just so many fun elements to your tables. There is no way I could choose a favorite, although I am always drawn to Rod and Rowena and their pups – just so wonderfully spooktacular. I’ve watched all the devastation from Helene on the news and since you and Pam both trust Samaritan’s Purse, I will see if there is a way I can donate from up here. Thanks for all the wonderful Halloween creativity and inspiration.
Mary, I’m relieved to hear that you’re safe. We missed the worst of it here in middle Tennessee, except for internet outages. I loved seeing your beautiful and creative tablescapes. I will definitely be back to visit. Love, Mlee. [from the old Rattlebridge Farm]
Mary, How did I miss this post? The owl in the beginning of the post is adorable! I also like the owl table, but I like them all actually! The black cat items are so cute. The MC hat is lovely. It’s always good to see Rod and Rowena. The rats with the cheese made me laugh! What a good idea! The charcuterie candy board is enticing. You have made some gorgeous, fun Halloween tables. We’re going to have fall weather this week. Clara❤️
