Raise a teacup and delight in Autumn! Shorter fall days with cooler weather calls for slowing down, sipping and savoring Pumpkin Spice Season! You’ll find table inspiration and an assortment of treats that you can find at the supermarket if you don’t have time to bake.

Welcome to the October edition of Tea on Tuesdays,

on the third Tuesday of the month!

‘Tis the Season for pumpkin spice, and you’re invited to join me for a cup of
Harney & Sons Pumpkin Spice Tea.
It’s a light-bodied herbal tea, that’s caffeine-free, with a wonderful aroma and subtle pumpkin spice flavor!

A blend of Rooibos, natural pumpkin flavor, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg,
it steeps in 4 – 5 minutes, producing a vibrant red color.
The tea’s pumpkin spice flavor is enhanced when paired with pumpkin spice treats!
To add milk or not to add milk to your tea?
As a general rule, milk can overwhelm the delicate flavors
of an herbal tea but may improve a stronger black tea by neutralizing any bitterness.

Whooooo besides me loves Fitz and Floyd?
A new-to-me tea set is part of Fitz and Floyd’s Autumn Woods series,
circa 1994, when Fitz and Floyd was in its heyday.

I spied this Fitz and Floyd teapot with owl at a favorite antique mall a couple of months ago,
but it had a very noticeable break with a bad repair
on one of the leaves on the front of the teapot.

I left it behind because of the break, but couldn’t get the teapot off my mind.
I searched online and found the ‘Autumn Woods’ teapot on eBay with matching
creamer and sugar. . . bonus!

Regular readers know that Autumn is my favorite season. . . . . . and I’m delighting in its arrival!
The temps are dropping down to the upper 30s later this week with highs in the upper 50s. . .
sweater weather at last (at least briefly :). . .yippee!

I love ironstone and brown transferware any time of year,
but fall is the season when it really shines.

Autumns Delight by Johnson Brothers is evocative of harvest season with its multi-colored fruit pattern.

It’s served on tree slice chargers and paired with bone handled flatware
to add some warm texture, in keeping with the ‘Autumn Woods’ tea theme.

A plaid tablecloth is paired with a table runner with
embroidered leaves to add some welcome fall color . . .

Help yourself to some pumpkin spice flavored treats. . .
I had an especially busy week and I’m happy to report that the supermarket bakery
has plenty of options to satisfy your sweet tooth, if you don’t have time to bake!

I found my pumpkin spice treats at Target and Publix:
Pumpkin Spice Mini Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Filling
Pumpkin Cheesecake Sandwich Cookies
Pumpkin Spice Madeleines
Pumpkin Pie Almonds

I dipped the pumpkin spice sandwich cookies in some melted white chocolate and
added some fall leaf sprinkles to a few.

If you’re looking for fall tea blend with warming spices, but more flavor here are two options and favorites:

Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice Tea
is Harney & Sons most popular flavored tea worldwide.
It’s described as an assertive blend of black teas, three types of cinnamon, orange peel, and sweet cloves.
It doesn’t require sweetener and is very flavorful. It’s on my subscribe & save list on Amazon.
is a blend that features black tea from India, cardamom seeds, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves,
and natural cardamom and vanilla flavors.
It’s not as assertive as the Hot Cinnamon Spice, but not as subtle as Pumpkin Spice.

They can go directly from the freezer to the oven with just a few extra minutes of baking time.
An easy one-bowl, no-mixer, Pumpkin Loaf Quick Bread;
moist, full of pumpkin spice flavor and topped with a sweet Maple Glaze

Good morning, Mary. Whooo, I love the Fitz and Floyd tea set from 1994. Fitz and Floyd remains one of my all time favorites for unique tableware. It seems they are making a comeback. I remember their beautiful shop at market in Atlanta, I loved it all! Autumn Delight by Johnson Brothers is the perfect fall pattern. The embroidered runner is lovely over the plaid tablecloth. Yum, the pumpkin spice flavored treats look delicious. Pumpkin Spice mini cupcakes with cream cheese filling would be perfect with my morning coffee. It would be a pleasure to have tea at your gorgeous table filled with all the autumn colors that I love! We are enjoying those wonderful autumn days this week! Happy Fall 🍂🦉🍂🧡🍂
Good Morning, Mary. I am tickled to join you for Tea on Tuesdays. It’s a pleasure!
Your Fitz and Floyd Tea set is quite a find and goes well with your Autumn Delight by Johnson Brothers. I also love your embroidered runner; it is festive and colorful. Then add all your Fall treats. Yes, please!
The teas you shared with us are delicious. I have the Cinnamon Spice Tea. It’s perfect for a chilly day like today here in Pennsylvania.
Fall is a time to gather with friends, and today, I loved joining you for Tea on Tuesdays. Thanks so much for having me. 🧡🍁🧡
Fitz & Floyd pieces are beautiful and they make the table even more beautiful! 🍁🍁🍁🍁
All I can say is beautiful ! You have now inspired me to bake a pumpkin loaf this morning.
What a lovely Fall tea party Mary! I love anything Fitz and Floyd, and your new to you tea set is so cute, and I know you were drawn to the owls on it. It looks great with your transferware and I love the embroidered table runner. So much beautiful eye candy and I love the way you embellished your store bought treats! Happy Tea on Tuesdays!

Mary, That is the cutest teapot set. Fitz and Floyd did such a good job on all of their ceramics. The owl is adorable! I love your the table runner too. The tea and treats look delicious! I need to remember to dip the cookies in chocolate to dress them up. Enjoy your day. Clara ❤️
I just love owl decor and love your scarecrow at the table.
Mary, I’m in pumpkin spice heaven with this post. Your goodies delight. Glad you found the pumpkin pie almonds. They are produced here in Texas. Or at least I suspect yours are too. The small company produces other flavors too – peppermint, hot chocolate, egg nog, etc. They are seasonal, but I can send them when they are on the shelves. The Harney & Sons teas are some of my favorites.
Thrilled you found the 1994 Fitz and Floyd Autumn Woods tea set. Love those precious owls.
Thanks for a wonderful tea time. It’s always a treat to join you!
Oh Mary, my heart is delighting in your F&F teapot with matching cream and sugar. We used to have a F&F outlet in Dallas and it was such fun to visit. I didn’t realize you had a complete service of Autumn Delights dinnerware. I’d love a treat from your tiered stand and I’ll choose the chai tea or the pumpkin. I can’t seem to acquire a taste for Hot Cinnamon Spice for some reason, and a love cinnamon. Thank you for the lovely tea October tea party. 🧡🍁🤎
I love these Fall theme pictures.
Mary, I am so glad you found the darling vintage tea set on Ebay with the sweet little owls! I understand not being able to get something off your mind. Your fall table runner is perfect to highlight all your table pieces. The vintage Autumn Woods transferware makes a great addition to your teatime. I am impressed with dipping the plain color pumpkin cookies in melted white chocolate and adding fall sprinkles to add color and a festive vibe. Fall colored almonds are also very pretty. You always have that creative touch.
It was a treat to visit your tea table today.
Loving your owl, great pics as always!
Mary, your autumn tea setting is beautiful! I love Fitz and Floyd, and your tea set is adorable. On fall evenings, I love to listen to the owls talking to each other. You have an impressive and gorgeous collection of brown transferware. Your treats look delicious, and the tea pairing sounds delightful. Wishing you a wonderful week, sweet friend!
Darling! Everything you post is so fun and creative
Mary, Fitz and Floyd is an all time favorite of mine! I love the owl teapot. It’s gorgeous and your table is so inviting! Would love to have a seat at your table! The treats look tasty too! It’s good to know our grocery stores provide some fall goodies.
Pinning several recipes to try this fall and ordering some of the pumpkin tea!
Thank you!
I am late to this week’s tea party for all the garden work and other chores I’ve been doing the past few days. I opened the post on Monday, though, and fell in love with your new (old) Fitz & Floyd tea set. Love!! Your table with transferware is so fitting for the season, and the tea and treats all appeal to me. I’m in the habit of buying grocery treats and individually freezing single servings in snack bags, and it works so well. Thanks for sharing your love of tea and table. Btw, this is another area you’ve definitely influenced me – I have been enjoying tea more so than my morning coffee lately. Caffeinated in the am, decaf in the afternoon. Saving that cinnamon tea to my Amazon shopping list. Thanks for sharing
Mary, your tea table IS delightful. The Johnson Brothers pattern is so pretty and I love the embroidered table runner. I am so happy for you that you were able to find the Autumn Woods tea set online. The spiced teas all sound yummy and the treats look delicious. Enjoy your favorite season of sweater weather (we are expecting snow here on Monday. Ugh.)!
