Mary, your daffodils are so beautiful. What variety you have! Do you know the names of the bulbs you planted? I’m looking for repeat bloomers and ones that might naturalize.
Wonderful post with equisite details. Wet and cold here this weekend, but I’m ready to spring forward into a new season. ~ Sarah
That picture of the daffs behind the Adirondack….wow. Love the whole post. The clock is beautiful, the vignettes perfect, the plate to die for. What a cool idea to do a post on springing forward! Not surprising. :) Lovely.

Great pics Mary! Two different daff’s are blooming in my yard right now. Gotta laugh, my automatic coffee pot reset itself for DST… So here I sit at 4/5 o’clock… at least the coffee’s good:@)
Mary, I’m so happy I opened this post first–I had totally forgotten last night about the change–I have a house full of guests. I do love daffodils and that plate is so pretty! I have not seen it before. Does it have mates with other flowers? Our daffodils are just stems right now but with buds waiting to burst open. Linda
Hi Linda~ The platter is from Pottery Barn last spring. There were four different flower salad plates you can see here.

I read a few blogs but when I open your blog it feels like a deep breath or soft sigh. It is an invitation to slow down. Your never seem to be harried or hurried. I hope that your life is truly as serene as it appears but my guess is it is likely more like the proverbial duck gliding along the water while under the surface she’s paddleing like crazy :)
Well, my 5 minutes between cleaning up breakfast dishes & getting ready for church is over so thanks for the mental vacation…have a wonderful day. Suzi
Wow, Mary, your creative juices have been flowing this week. I marvel at how you come up with your incredible postings time after time after time. I’d like to spend a week just following you around, seeing first hand how you make it all happen. BTW, I’m reading a book,Secret Daughter, that has lots of food (Indian) references and I can’t help but wonder how you would respond to it.
Those sweet little trumpet faces are truly a sign of spring. Your vignettes are beautiful, as always.
Here in southern California we have been having spring like weather until today and now they are forcasting a week of winter like rainy weather! The weather is all turned around!
Your beautiful post puts Spring in all our hearts!
I am so glad I found your blog. The photographer is very talented. I shared some pictures you had a few days ago, about Downton Abbey on my blog. I gave you all the credit, as you well deserve it. Thanks for your insight into the everyday life and it’s beauty which surrounds us all.

What a beautiful post!
I welcome the spring forward that comes at this time in the year – indeed, I’d like to LEAP forward towards better weather, longer days, more flowers…..
Hi Mary, What a lovely spring post. Your daffodils are beautiful. One of my favorites flowers. Mine bloomed in mid February, usually the first blooms of the year. We’ve had unseasonably warm weather and I think we will have an early spring. Beautiful post.
Mary, What a gorgeous reminder to Spring forward! Could you please stop over at ON THE MENU MONDAY and resubmit your wonderful post? I think I did something wrong when I set up inlinz and had to start again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

My daffodils are just about to bloom, Mary, so I enjoyed seeing yours as a preview! I missed the hour of sleep today but I enjoyed the slightly longer daylight :) Have a good week!
What a kind wish to send our way! That is a beautiful plate with daffodils and the daffodils enclosed in the cloche are breathtaking. So pretty, fresh and welcoming. Delightful and clever post with the spring forward theme. I forgot about the time change and was late for church today!
Oh Mary, you never cease to amaze me. Another beautiful post that makes me want to SLOOOOOOW down, sit in that chair and just enjoy the beautiful view and the sun on my face. EVERY post you do seems to make me feel that way, rested and relaxed….so THANK YOU!!! I am loving the daylight savings time. Having TROUBLE with blogger and unable to post right now:( XO, Pinky
Oh I love your daffodil cloche, so perfect. The clock and plate are wonderful too. Beautiful and appropriate display. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
You’ve put together a beautiful vignette here! Love the dish ~ I agonized over buying the set from PB and wound up not getting them. I’m a little sorry now, but maybe the outlet? The daffodils in our area look like they just popped overnight. I’m so happy to see them!
Oh, Mary….! You never disappoint!
Happy Spring and welcome to the signs of Spring!
The photo of the daffodils in the foreground of the chair by the lake is exquisite…what can make anyone happier?…Beautiful post as always.
