A weekend water view and favorite quote
as you sail into the weekend . . .
“Twenty years from now you will be more
disappointed by the things that you didn’t do. . .
. . .than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
~ Mark Twain
Wishing you Smooth Sailing and Calm Seas,
Happy Weekend :)
Thanks for the inspiration! Might go on a moon light sail next month.
Hmmm Mark Twain seems to have the right idea! Thanks for sharing his inspirational words to live by. xo
Mary!! I was just quoting this to my hubby yesterday as we were discussing where to embark on the next phase of our lives~~retire, take a new opportunity that has come along, move, stay…such a wonderful phrase to ponder. I know one thing~~I wouldn’t mind sailing along in one of those gorgeous sailboats! Your lake must be a lovely place to live. Linda
There is nothing more beautiful than a sailboat in full sail~such a symbol of peace and freedom~ have a wonderful weekend on the water~
Oh, do I have fond memories of our sailing days. The lake looks so inviting, Mary. Wish we still had our boat.
Perfect weekend for it!! The Hobie Cat is rigged and ready! Fair WInds and Following Seas!! franki

Years ago, I used to sail on Lake Murray in Columbia, SC but these days I prefer motorboating! Still love to see the beautiful sailboats underway!
How I enjoyed this post! We returned from our annual sail this yr a few months ago. We sail 3-4 months every yr . Dominican Republic was our destination this yr but as you know, it’s not the destination, but the journey.
Your pics reminded me of all the sunsets I’ve witnessed from the bow of our boat …..and it’s just glorious!!
Wonderful quote from MT. Love the Cat-a-Tonic! Made me smile!
