White Dog Love: They’re Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

DSC_2992-001

There’s a lot of white dog love around here. . .

Ranging from 4 to 14 pounds.

We’re puppy sitting for my mother-in-law while she’s in the hospital.

Chloe and Gracie are old ladies who have had to learn to share with a very energetic 4-month old Zoe, and 2-year old Maddie, both Maltipoos.

When you go from 2 dogs to 4, it means twice as many wags. . .

DSC_2991-001

Double the fun. . .

DSC_2984-001

Twice as many treats. . .

And double the chaos.

And great practice for when I open a kennel. . .

I’ve seen lots of cute dog sweaters at HomeGoods recently and found some for Zoe and Maddie there this week.

They’re beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

DSC_2944-001

And that’s as far as I’ve gotten with my Christmas shopping and decorating.

Chloe and I are both feeling like we need a nap :)

Every time I see your darling bichoens I think about our Daisy, she was quite the character, never knew what would be next. I can’t even imagine how busy you are with 4 dogs. I hope you and Chole and Grace get your much needed nap.

  11. December 2, 2015 at 8:18 am

Mary, these four make quite a Christmas statement! They could win best dressed and the most photogenic! Happy Wednesday! Pam @ everydayliving.me

Mary, It must be like a blizzard in your house when those four little white furry cuties start running around together! I’m sure it is a comfort to your MIL to know her pups are being cared for by Chloe and Gracie. :) Linda

ADORABLE!!!! Know what you mean about 4 dogs. We had 4 beagles. That means 16 paws to clean when it rains too!!

    • December 2, 2015 at 9:32 am

Sue, It’s been raining for 3 days in a row here. I don’t know how you do it all the time, I am weary :)

Enjoyed your photos. It’s the opposite at my house where I have a black Scottie and oh so much plaid and a Scottie themed tree, wreath and table setting! We were in Scotland in October and I saw not one Scottie but many, many Westies on the streets and even in pubs! Our last name is Magee and my boy is Fibber Magee. People stop me all the time to say they’ve never seen a Scottie in person. I can’t tell u how many people who I normally don’t even exchange gifts with can’t resist buying me a pair of flannel, Scottie PJs! Every Jan I give several pairs to Goodwill. Anyone need a pair of smalls?

    • December 2, 2015 at 9:33 am

What fun Debra! I’d love to see a photo of your tree and Fibber Magee :)

    December 2, 2015 at 9:16 am

These pics made my day. Wish my Lizzie (12 yr old Yorkie) would wear a sweater….she is not fond of clothing or ribbons in her hair! I know you’re enjoying the extra company and how did you get them all to sit together to make all the pics? Wow! Good little Doggies!!!!

    • December 2, 2015 at 9:29 am

Thanks Robyn, Lots of treats and LOTS of photos! My mother-in-law gives her two pups peanut butter flavored Cheerios and sent over a box. Chloe and Gracie think Cheerios are the best treats ever :)

  23. December 2, 2015 at 9:16 am

How fun!!! That should be your Christmas card this year.
I hope your MIL is recovering & will soon be able to claim her poochies again.

The making of a beautiful Christmas card! Pure joy in those photos of your white dogs!

  25. December 2, 2015 at 9:32 am

Thanks for the laugh…I can just imagine them scurrying around everywhere and in everything…worse then a bunch of toddlers. And amazing you got them to all sit for pics…cute in the plaid and red! And it would make a perfect Christmas card! Sandi

  26. December 2, 2015 at 9:42 am

They are adorable . . . looks like a great Christmas card photo to me. The little one with the white ears looks so much like my Butchy when he was a puppy. He keeps me company each day and warms my heart . . . aren’t they wonderful companions!
    Have a lovely day.

  30. December 2, 2015 at 10:04 am

What a perfect way to start my day!!!!! With giggles of such bundles of love….
I have a feeling that shoot went the way mine go as I try to capture my 5 grandkids under age of 5. Puppies and toddlers…..aren’t they all the same creatures??😜
My sophiejane, who just had her 15th poodle birthday, was sitting with me as we looked at all those white fur babies-she approved!!!
You’re a good DIL. But I bet your MIL misses her fur babies. Hope she’s home soon

  31. December 2, 2015 at 10:05 am

Oh my goodness Mary, I was so hoping you’d share photos of the fab four!! I can’t imagine getting anything done with all those wagging tails, but I will say after the weekend with my four grandchildren underfoot it took me 2 days to recover :) I could have used those puppies to help me clean our Cheerios off the floor! How did you ever get those 4 fur balls to don their Christmas sweaters and sit on the porch bench!!! I have been thinking of your family, I am hoping for good news soon~

Mary, I say the more the merrier. My Katie a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel can not stand to wear any thing but a scarf. I think she is too hot natured. I would love another pup but my husband says no way. One at a time!

  33. December 2, 2015 at 10:52 am

They are adorable all dressed for Christmas! Hope your mother-in-law has a speedy recovery.

Thank you for sharing the “babies” and I hope your mother in law is soon feeling less pain and coming home. Suellen

  38. December 2, 2015 at 12:13 pm

Mary, double the pleasure for certain! White dogs, loads of tartan, and lots of wags make me smile. Your dogs are the best at posing for photos. I’ll check out HG for a new sweater for Sadie.
Enjoy the day with those cute white fluff balls.

BIG smile on my face–they are over the top precious, and what a Xmas-perfect photo! We were just discussing how much we need another fur baby in our lives–maybe Santa will leave something special for us this year. Your pictures are always so great–you definitely have photographic talent!

Extreme and total CUTENESS! I want to sit on the floor and scoop them all up in my lap! We had a Bichon, Simone (aka MoMo) and miss her dearly. We will have another one but until then your posts of Gracie and Chloe (and Zoe and Maddie) keep me happy and fondly remembering all the joy! Thank you, Mary!
