I think I need a bigger landscape! Oh my, I get so much inspiration from you and your garden posts, it makes me want to plant more! That Lady Banks and wisteria – big wows, and so is your snowball viburnum. So many roses, daylilies and peonies – such a wonderful garden, Mary. And all the moments you create with tabletops in the shed, on the bench and lakeside just gives me all the feels of serenity from the hard work and satisfaction of it. It’s beautiful. Thank you for sharing it all over the years. ♥️🧡💜💛💙💚

You’re so kind Rita! 💗 I hope you’re not suffering from cabin fever, I saw there was more snow on your way.❄️ Stay warm and dream of spring 🌷💗

I made your suet in Christmas tree ornaments recently as I do every year and put them on my Christmas tree which once it is undecorated I placed in the garden beds in the front of my home. Yesterday I was looking out a second story window into a Bradford pear tree and what did I see……one of the ornaments! I got such a laugh out of that. I am guessing a friendly squirrel was the culprit. There are others missing too but I have found most of them on the ground😃😃. Peace.

    • January 16, 2025 at 8:17 am

Those dastardly squirrels Cindi! A raccoon might have been the culprit too :) Stay warm and thank you for your visit this morning ♥

Annnnd, “how do you deter deer???” They have desecrated 40 years of planting hydrangea, roses, day lillies, etc…it is SO discouraging…I spray weekly, toss “Irish Spring” shavings… franki

A wonderful year in review Mary! I always enjoy your tablescapes in the Potting Shed, and how you decorate your potting bench. So many gorgeous flowers!! I hope 2025 brings good weather for your gardening! Brrr, 24 degrees is cold! Did you see my post about the 5 inches of snow we got? It was a big surprise as we were only supposed to get a light dusting! Stay cozy~

Your creativity really does bloom within your potting shed, Mary. Since I have no room for a shed, I get so much enjoyment from yours. Thank you for sharing your shed, tablescapes, tips, and flowers with us. I’m looking forward to seeing your shed in full swing again soon. 💐

I thoroughly enjoyed every photo and post!
I know I always tell you, but because of you, I have a potting shed/she shed. You inspire me with every picture! Not only did you give me flower therapy but you gave me lots of ideas. I always enjoy my visits. Thank you!

Mary, your year in review truly sparks joy! I giggled at your comment that you don’t use the potting shed for potting. You make much better use of this darling structure. It’s like having a playhouse! I’d love to have such a shed for tablescaping and arranging things. You inspire! I’ve no place to add one, but dreaming is always fun! I can pull up your posts and take in all the creative beauty you create for us. I marvel at how many years we have had our blogs, shared a friendship, and still keep moving forward with new ideas to share. I’m not the gardener you are, but am always inspired with your abundance of blooming plants through the seasons. I’ve mostly a green garden. I look forward to what you will share in 2025. Thanks for continuing Home Is Where The Boat Is. I know is takes much time and energy to produce each post all the while creating and caring for the beautiful garden spaces throughout the year.

A year in review for you is like finding a $20 bill in an old pair of jeans – a very pleasant amazing discovery that you didn’t even realize you needed to see again. Mary, I have said it before and will say it again. You are the best of the BEST and need to publish a book. Because I would be the first to pre-order it. Your pics and ideas and inspiration are unmatched anywhere…..TOTAL EYE CANDY GOODNESS!!!!!!

I absolutely love this so much! I planted a small section of flowers last spring and I loved how happy they made my yard. You are seriously an inspiration for how lovely I would love my flowers to grow. I’m going to need to try your bunny repellant so I can keep enough of them to bring them inside to match my rustic home decor. Thank you so much for sharing! I look forward to seeing how your flowers grow this year!
