“Every flower has its own fairy to care for it, which explains why most of my own fairy encounters have taken place in the garden.”
“Flower beds are a perfumed paradise for fairies that desire beauty above all else”, so I brought my Staffordshire Bouquet to the garden to help lure the Flower Fairies. . .
Along with some blooming flatware
to further entice the Flower Fairies. . .
And some seeds to plant for a Fairy Meadow for an enchanting garden to attract & open my eyes to the magic of fairies. . .
“Flower Fairies wear outfits fashioned from fallen petals—by dressing to impersonate the flowers that surround them, the fairies may flutter by unseen!”
Sweet delicacies such as fruit, jam and cake. . .”
Enchanting fairy cupcakes from the magic of a Strawberry Supreme Moist Cake Mix, with cream cheese frosting and a sprinkling of fairy dust or nonpareils!
“Tread softly and speak quietly when you set foot in the fairies’ world. Who knows—perhaps you too will be allowed a glimpse into their magical kingdom.”
Beautifully illustrated, the paper engineering with its lift-the-flaps, booklets, maps, holograms, and other ephemera, hold surprises waiting to be discovered, and are sure to delight both young readers and the young-at-heart alike!
Love your fairy posts. What fun you must have had making them.
Your paper fairies remind me of the story of the Cottingley Fairies in England. The movie, “Fairytale: A True Story”, is so sweet. I want fairies in my garden, but all I have are toads. :(
Ooh Mary, I want to come to your whimsical fairy party! I love how the potting shed door sparkled and voila, the fairies multiplied and the cupcakes appeared!! I must buy the cupcake decor and have a fairy party with my grandkids. Thanks for another one of your inspirations, Magical Mary!! xo
As always, your posts are fabulous, and being a believer in Cicely Mary Barker’s Flower Fairies for some decades now, I have been so pleased to see them featured! I do have one question, however! I may have missed something in the post (my eyes are as old as I am!), but where oh where is the beautiful quilted table cloth with the flowers strewn upon it to be found? Is it something you have just picked up or is it part of the Staffordshire Bouquet line from Johnson Bros.? Thanks for continuing to make my days happy with every new posting that you do!
Oh my goodness, Mary….what a magical display!!
I sure wish I had known about that cupcake fairy kit prior to this weekend’s cupcake party for Ms. C. They really would have added some whimsey.
Forgive me for mentally pushing your pretty dishes out of the way so I could get a better look at that gorgeous quilt you used for a table topper.
You always find the prettiest ones!!!
Thanks for inviting us in for a peek.
Where do I begin?….all I can say is that this post is so over the top enchanting…I was so mesmerized by each photo and it just kept getting more and more mesmerizing…..I felt as though you can see feel the fairies spreading their magical dust over the table…as the table is “magical”…I popped over to order that fairy garland for my “sweetie”….thank for this every so enchanting experience!!!
One of my favorite books as a child, was Cicely Mary Barker’s book, ‘Flower Fairies of the Trees’. I fell in love with the illustrations and the magical fairy world. I will be purchasing this book for the younger guests at my gardens. And as always, lovely pictures.
Mary, I can think of a dozen little girls who would love to join this enchanting garden party. Your sense of whimsy is sophisticated and charming. Thanks for sharing this delightful book. I must go out and see if there are any fairies in my garden.
I know you have an abundance of garden fairies all around you Mary, because you always have an abundance of beautiful blooms~ and of course cupcakes, what flower fairy could resist those sweet cakes! Such a delightful and enchanting journey through the eyes of the flower fairies~ From now on I shall always see flower fairy clothes when I see petals! It just love the photo of the fairies on the vine going across the doorway with the light effects, magical!

You really embodies the theme of the challenge with your Fairies. Everything looks like it absolutely could be used by the Fairies. I love the flatware, and you know I love the china, as I have that same pattern. In fact it was the pattern that started my dish addiction. The book is amazing. dianne
