Happy Friday, We’re celebrating the Dog Days of Summer! 🐾🐾
The dog days of summer are associated with hottest, most uncomfortable part of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. These hot, sultry days of summer are historically marked by the period following the heliacal rising of the Dog Star, Sirius. Greek and Roman astrology connected Sirius with heat, drought, sudden thunderstorms, lethargy, fever, mad dogs and bad luck.
Check all those that apply:
☑ Drought (extremely dry)
☑ Sudden Thunderstorms
☑ Fever (fall fever🍁)
No mad dogs though, only good dogs here🐾🐾
We’re celebrating the Dog Days and our good luck with Sophie’s arrival!
* Woof *
We brought Sophie home two weeks ago, she’s 13 weeks old today. 🎉
Lola is thrilled to have a sister, although maybe not at this moment. . . ;)
And Sophie is full of puppy energy and exuberance!
I’m dog gone happy to be part of a Late Summer Tablescape Blog Hop this week!
You can *fetch* summer table inspiration from 23 bloggers and table stylists, HERE.
