Rod, Rowena, and The Skeleton Crew are chilled to the bone as Halloween arrives! They’re sharing some rib-tickling fun before heading south for the winter to warm up their bones. 💀🍫🎃
Halloween is tomorrow and it’s the last hurrah for The Skeleton Crew!
They’ve decided to become snowbirds and head to Florida for the winter
as our current temperatures are bone chilling,
especially after our mild fall weather!
The rain and wind make it seem cooler than it actually is.
Rod is bundled up in a scarf, sweater vest and skull cap to keep his head warm. . .
His circulation is not what it used to be, so his feet stay cold. Rowena bought him some new socks she found at T.J. Maxx.
Rowena is bundled up too in a plaid fleece poncho, scarf and gloves.
Rowena’s arthritic finger joints have been a real bone of contention and she could only wiggle her stiff fingers into one of her gloves. After watching her struggle, Rod decided mittens would make a great stocking stuffer for her this Christmas.
To keep their spirits high, Rowena stopped by her favorite haunt—HomeGoods—and unearthed a boo-tiful new skeleton platter. . .
She thought the resemblance was uncanny! 💀

The growing Skeleton crew will be missed until next October, but I hope they enjoy being snowbirds. My feet are feeling like Rod’s right now as our temperatures dipped, too; had to turn on the heat first time to get the chill off. Rowena sure found a perfect platter for serving up treats. Such rib-tickling fun indeed Mary! What a wonderful send-off for the skeleton crew and I hope they have a wonderful time in sunny Florida. They do look nice and cozy and I love Rod’s new slippers. It is currently 48 degrees here (considered nice for this time of year) so those temps must seem very chilly. Stay warm and happy Halloween!
