With Halloween a little over a week away,
Rod and Rowena gathered on the porch for a bone-afide Halloween tea party,
no tricks, just treats! ☕💀🍬🎃
Rowena has always been a tea enthusiast. . .she says there’s nothing like a good cup of tea to cure what ails you! She cackled with glee when she found this Witch’s Teapot at HomeGoods, perfect for brewing a little hocus pocus.
🫖 The Witch’s Brew Tea Menu
What’s your poison—er, pleasure? Choose your brew:
🧹 Wicked Vanilla Rose Oolong Tea, a spellbinding blend of oolong tea, rose petals, and a whisper of vanilla (with just a touch of caffeine to raise the spirits).
🧹 Or Black Magic Elderberry Herbal Tea, a caffeine-free concoction of chamomile, elderberries, ginseng, ginger, spearmint, licorice, and lemongrass.
Rowena likes her tea sweetened with a honey pop (included in the set) while Rod prefers a licorice stick!
Rod’s trying to bone up on his tea etiquette, but he insists the licorice stick enhances the licorice flavor of the Black Magic Elderberry Tea.
Rowena says her Wicked Vanilla Rose Oolong is so good, she was dying for a second cup before you got here!
🍬 Bone Appétit!
Halloween comes but once a year, so Rowena made sure there were plenty of treats to sink their teeth into. Rowena loves Rod’s beautiful smile and told him to proceed with caution, as his last visit to the dentist was about 100 years ago.
She’s a bit worried about Rod too, as he just can’t seem to keep any weight on,
so she bought all his favorites to tempt him . . .

💀 Kit Kat Breaking Bones. . .Rod knows all too well about those breaking bones vis-à-vis his hip replacement surgery. 🦴
He and Rowena both find the cracking of crispy wafers and the frightful flavor of bone-white creme irresistible!
🧹 Kit Kat Witch’s Brew, covered in marshmallow-flavored creme in an enchanting green color!
💀 Reese’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Creme Skeletons, which made Rowena positively rattle with joy
Rowena didn’t have time to bake, so she picked up some store-bought cupcakes
and topped them with candy corn for a festive touch.
She also bought some festive Halloween sugar cookies in iconic shapes. . .bats, ghosts, and jack-o’-lanterns.
🧹 Black and white cookies from the grocery store bakery got a magical makeover with Wicked Witch candy decorations for their Witch’s Brew Tea Party.
🧙♀️ A Cauldron of Fun
This is Grace Skelly’s first Halloween with Rod and Rowena and she was amazed at all the sweets and candy treats!
She bonded immediately with Rod and Rowena’s rescue pups, Bone-ita and Bona Lisa. 🐾🐾
Bone-ita even let Grace Skelly put a witch’s party hat on her head for their tea party.
Instead of tea, Rowena surprised Grace Skelly with a Witches’ Cauldron Hot Drink Bomb she found at Target.
Grace Skelly is lactose intolerant, so Rowena heated up some almond milk for her.
There’s just a little hocus pocus involved. . .beware. . .
it’s a little messy and scary at first . . .🫣
Drop the bomb into hot milk and give it a stir until it dissolves into sweet, chocolatey magic! 🪄☕

Good morning Mary! It is always fun to see Rod and Rowena and what they are up to every October and Halloween! Rowena is all dressed up for her tea party. She chose the perfect teapot and is an excellent shopper with a keen eye for all things Halloween! The Witch’s Brew tea gift set could not be more perfect. It must be marvelous to eat all of those yummy treats and not gain weight. I cannot pass by candy corn without grabbing a handful. Obviously Grace Skelly is excited for her first Halloween with Bone-ita and Bona Lisa. They all seem to be a happy skelly family and enjoy each other’s company!

You can use any metal binder clips to hold parchment in place for baking. They don’t have to be designated as “baking” clips. :)
