Seeing Red

Mrs. Matlock’s seven week  Rainbow Summer School is now in session~ and since this is Summer School, I thought I would join the fun for Summer Sundays :-)

This week’s color of the Rainbow assignment is Red~ I thought I’d share some Red  we’ve seen while boating on the Lake.

I’m looking forward to summer school:-) My poor husband/boat captain is going to tire, I fear, before summer school is over~every time I say: “I spy something ROYGBIV. . . Stop so I can take a picture. . .”

Lots of red in boats. . .

Jet Skis & Vests. . .

Boat Covers. . .

 Reflections. . .

Tires repurposed as bumpers. . .

I see eyes and a smile on this red boat~

Kayaks. . .

I have a friend named Rett~  I wonder if this is her cute boat?

Love this nautical style house with red roof. . .

Watch the boats go by, while sitting in a red swing. . .

. . . or  red chair~

Follow wake courtesy & obey the signs, please~

Gas is cheaper on the road than at the marina, if you want to fill up your cans. . .

Observe the rules for fueling safety, at the marina.

The gas-jockeys at the marina will be happy to assist you. . .

You may need some snacks while you’re on the water. . .

And in case of a Red Alert at Maguire Nuclear Station, you can find your Nuclear Emergency Preparedness Guide, here.

Here’s wishing you no Red Alerts wherever your are :-)

Visit Jenny Matlock for more journeys down the rainbow~

I’m also joining The Tablescaper for Summer Sundays~  for what Summer means to you :-)

    Hey Lake Neighbor,

Love your red post, and especially the last picture – it cracks me up! I finally get to see water (other than the pool) this weekend – headed to Morehead City in a couple of hours for a weekend of R&R!
    Enjoy the lake this weekend!

Oh Mary…what FUN you’ve found, all in RED!!! I WISH that “Retta” boat was mine. We’ve owned them before but they’re a great deal of upkeep & DH just can’t do it anymore.
Thanks for the shout-out. I just subscribed to your feeds so I don’t miss any more of your cute posts like this one.

  32. July 31, 2010 at 5:23 pm

That is still making me smile!

    Your “spying” was great!

    Was a fabulous Red link!

Oh what a creative post! Love the water, boats, fun and yes, RED!

  36. August 1, 2010 at 10:31 am

What a delight to see picture after picture of red on the lake. I loved it all. Even though purple is my favorite color, I love red and pink right after that. Red on boats is really beautiful. You created a great post.

  37. August 1, 2010 at 5:15 pm

You found an impressive amount of RED. You don’t think of red as a water color. I love the reflections.

Thanks so much for being a part of “Summer Sundays”.
