I’m sharing some flower therapy in the form of a favorite book full of beautiful blooms

My favorite flower is the gardenia with the phenomenal fragrance reminding me of my beloved Grandmother I lost in 1974 and miss her to this day.
Good morning. One of my favorite flowers is the daffodil. It is the earliest bouquet flower to bloom in my garden and comes in so many shapes and colors. I have trumpets and double blooms invwhites, yellows oranges and apricot. You can make a varied and interesting bouquet just using different garden grown daffodils.

Good morning, Mary. What a fabulous book! Hoffman Media does an excellent job in everything they produce. To name a favorite flower is especially hard for me as there are not many I do not like. I just took a pink floating oriental peony to my hairdresser yesterday morning as she loves flowers also. I guess I’ll say pansy as they are both exquisite and funny (with their cute faces) at the same time. I can’t resist smiling when I see one. I am a long time subscriber. Hello, I am not sure I have a favorite flower but I do love tulips and sunflowers. I’m trying to grow by seed ones called antique white sunflowers now. Hope they grow. I’m kinda new at the flower growing. Thank you and would just love this book
I have moved from a lifetime of garden experience, including creating with help from a friend, a native plant pollinator garden, to the beautiful lowcountry of Beaufort, S. Carolina. It’s always been hard for me to pick a favorite flower yet in my lifetime I’ve loved tulips taken to grade school teachers, peonies for Mother’s Day, and rose garden walks with grandma Rose. As a transplant myself, I brought a david Austin potted rose and herbs south with me. To my husbands dismay, even my 10’, 11 year old bay tree. While it’s a joy to grow, smell, and use all of the above, I finally got to a native plant sale and purchased a native coneflower and small headed sunflower along with sedges and a beautyberry. These 2 plants are settling in to the marsh side of our home. I’m excited to learn more about marsh ecosystems as I nurture these babies to maturity. Thanks for the opportunity to put these thoughts into words AND to enter your drawing for a Victoria magazine book I’d love to own!
Oh my word, Mary! What a giveaway!!! What a perfect Mother’s Day gift, too, yes? Well it is certainly a book that YOU could make with all YOUR incredibly gorgeous floral arrays! Thought of you yesterday – went to lunch with a bestie and shopped after in their boutique there and saw they had a little display of bee-themed things. SO you!!!! So you asked about a favorite flower and whew, isn’t that a tough one? Can’t pick one so I will give you my favs and their reasoning. Lavender for its many helpful properties, white tulips for decorating, Ranunculus (used in my wedding bouquet), heirloom roses for their scent, hydrangea in the garden. I know I didn’t quite answer the question, but I couldn’t!! Thank you for your giveaway! I am about to Pin now.

My favorite flowers are Lily of the Valley and Lilacs. My bridal bouquet was lilacs, lily of the valley and white roses. The lilacs and lily of the valley were from my family garden.

I love peonies, in the spring. I also love the tulips in the blue vase picture which I pinned for some spring decor inspiration.
My favorite flower is the Carnation. It smells wonderful & the blossoms last a longer time than most flowers used in any bouquet.
Oy…I love flowers but today, I’ll say my knockout roses because my not-quite-yet green thumb can always count on them to bring some beauty to an area.

I love so many flowers, it’s hard to choose. Tulips, freesias, gardenias, and gerbera daisies are some of my favorites. I also pinned the photo with cabbage tulips, bridal wreath spirea and stock. It’s different and looks so light and airy!
I love all flowers, but I would say peonies are a favorite. Their fragrance is incredible and the flowers are long lasting if picked in the marshmallow stage and kep in the refrigerator.

A beautiful book showcasing creative floral arrangements that I need! Tulips are a favorite for Spring along with Daffodils. I seem to grow Daffodils pretty well. I also gravitate to Carnations. Gardenias are my favorite flower! What a heavenly scent. My bridal bouquet was white roses and gardenias, strange combo, I’m sure. Second favorite are French hydrangeas for the amazing color! I pinned the final composite pic of all the projects. Love the posies and the hanging wreath.

Over 200 women volunteer their time to make precious little bouquets using soup cans covered with burlap and ribbon and lovely flowers recycled from weddings, events, Trader Joe’s, and other grocery stores. These are delivered to residents in hospice, nursing homes, and Meals on Wheels. Over 118,000 flower bouquets have been delivered, spreading kindness and joy to countless residents and caregivers alike. Look us up on the internet. Maybe you can start a similar program in your community. Everyone involved feels that this is one of the very best things that they have ever done , just as your website is one of the very best of its kind on the internet. THANK YOU!

My favorite flower is hibiscus. I am always amazed how “dead” the plant looks in my garden during the long cold winters we have. My favorite flower is the bearded iris. I have several patches of these in my front and back yards. They are white in the center with dark purple beard petals. These particular bulbs are actually antique, as they began way back in the early 1950s in Little Rock, AR in my mother-in-law’s back yard. When she and her husband retired to Hot Springs in the early 80s she took some bulbs with her. They didn’t do well where she planted them, so she offered them to me. Ever since then I have nurtured them (which is basically just leaving them alone!), Because they propagate freely and frequently, every two to three years I separate the bulbs and spread them out into different areas of the yard, as well as share bulbs with friends and neighbors. I pinned the photo of the “creative container”, and plan to use something antique like that for the irises I bring inside. I have recently created a “meadowscape” in a back section of my yard that was very hard to mow. Now that area is full of colorful wild flowers and bird feeders and a birdhouse. I LOVE your posts, Mary, and have been subscribed for several years now!

As a weekly follower, I have to say this book of flowers is “happy moment” . I grow dahlias, roses, and snapdragons and like to try my best at arranging them. This book just might help me do that ! I pinned the wreath on a chair, the wreath with the birds nest in hopes of making one myself.

My favorite flower is the Columbine. Flower in the (Very Close) Number Two slot is the Lupine. I am a high-altitude western gal from birth and especially love seeing them on my hikes where I live in western Wyoming. I grow them from seeds I save every year from my original plants and have some lovely hybrid flowers with amazing colors that make me crazy-happy.

Mary, what an incredibly beautiful book, not unlike the beauty that you share on a weekly (at least) basis. I LOVE flowers, and enjoy growing them as you do. It’s hard to pick a favorite flower, but I tend to choose what’s currently blooming. My peonies are magnificent right now. I just helped put together arrangements for a reception in conjunction with a memorial service for a dear friend. We gathered gorgeous iris from several friends’ gardens for these arrangements. When hydrangeas are blooming, they are my favorites.

I can’t pick just one favorite flower because I am a crazy plant lady and I love them all. I enjoy the very different attributes of every flower in my garden. I find wonderful peace and joy in walking around the garden cutting flowers for an arrangement, choosing a container, and then putting the arrangement together. This week I cut long branches from Flowering Cherry, Redbud, Deutzia, and Curly Willow and put them in a glass vase tucked inside a wicker basket. It feels like I brought spring right into the house!!
You could’ve written the book, Mary! It’s hard to pick a favorite flower because each is beautiful and a work of art. This book will bring joy to someone deserving of some beauty and joy. 💐
My favorite flower is the daffodil. When they start blooming in my yard, I know a fresh new season is starting. There are so many color combinations between the coronas and petals how can you not love them. I am always on the look out for a new variety
My Favorite is an orchid but certainly Love them all !!! Ranunculus, anemones, hydrangeas, lilies and roses for their fragrance. They are all lovely in God’s beautiful creation !!

Picking a favorite flower is like picking a favorite child! But today I shall pick peonies as my favorites since they are starting to make large fat buds now in my zone 4-5 garden!
I pinned three photos from this post, but the posies with the tags, with the “language of the flowers” on them…..those are so charming!
So hard to choose because I love all kinds….one of my top favorites is the good ol’ fashioned Columbine. There is just something about their delicate dangling faces that make me smile. I have lived in my home 34 years and they have reseeded all over my yard in many different beautiful color combinations…which is another thing I love about them. They make a great cut flower and are beautiful in vases by themselves or mixed in with others. This year I purchased Pink Petticoat seeds and cannot wait until I get to enjoy their pink & white bouncy blossoms that resemble pink petticoats.
