Oh, my. What a fun post! So much delight for the eyes starting with your vintage seed box. Beautiful produce, table and a double wowowowow on the cupcakes. A great way to start the day!
Fun, fun, fun! Love your beautiful seed box Mary and the table is great! Can’t get over those cute cupcakes! I can’t see those peas traumatizing kids:@)
First of all kudos on the cupcakes..I had that book and gave it to one of my daughter’s.. I had admired the veggies..you made them perfectly.. So cute everything..and I ahve never seen such pretty garden gloves..Sunday best:)
Wonderful! Your talents are endless!
You have taken vegetables to new levels with this post. Your seed box is charming and looks so pretty as part of your tablescape.
The cupcakes are simply adorable. I never would have guessed that the veggies were made from tootsie rolls.
Mary, tell me you didn’t do those cupcakes! Just when I think you can’t get any better you come up with something like this. Would you come to my house and do one such fabulous setting? I’d just leave it there permanently for everyone to pooh and ahhh over! Hope you are getting some boat time in.
OMG….those cupcakes are INCREDIBLE!!!!!! I spent three hours making plain ones with sugar crystals that I shook out of the container, thinking I was such hot stuff! Yours are beautiful! One time Martha Stewart made magnificent butterfly sugar cookies and nothing would do except that I order everything she used…$$$$$…..when it all finally came, I spent 12 hours making those cookies, used every bowl and measuring cup in my kitchen and then needed the Army Corps of Engineers to come clean it all up. The cookies…well….they didn’t look like Martha’s either! It’s far more fun to see what Mary comes up with next! If I could do just one thing so pretty as all of yours!
this is great! I bet your neighbors wonder what the heck you are doing half the time…aren’t they?
Those cupcakes are fabulous!
So cute. Those cupcakes look very yummy.
damn damn damn i wish i could eat this stuff and play like the olden days! i so love this…
one its chocolate…
two its garden!
three its lakeside…
four its FUN
five it drives me wildly, passionately JEALOUS! which is a good thing to covet ones talents, it makes me feel tinglily and hopeful for fun one day again!
another super fav little day by the lake with you, i am so glad dazzling is always on your agenda :)
people of the book, its a VERY fav book, i hope you love it too, although audio is whole nother genre for me. i read the room this weekend, its good, but still disturbing. i also read dreams of joy, 5 star fabulous, i read in one afternoon, couldn’t put it down, if you haven’t read shanghai girls get both now, its part 2.
s listens to audio’s free from the library, i am now going to copy and put in ipod for him, q-ed up for the bestsellers to keep him happy, never thought to upload them before, then he can return the same day and listen while he works at sea dream~
Oh, Mary……all has already been said by all of those above me….just read their comments again and pretend they came from me. It is all too cute!
Sending a link of this to my niece just up the road from you in Greensboro who decorates cakes….
Hi Mary,
I really LOVE this table! Your posts and photography are truly magazine- worthy. I now look forward to seeing your posts every week. This table is so great with the view of the lake. In looking at your lawn, I believe you must have the soul of a gardener (and the green thumb too). Those pretty gardening gloves are a perfect touch for this table. I love all the soft greens on the table, the painted pansy goblets, Mr. Rabbit, and your wonderful seed box filled with fresh vegetables. This is so creative.
I’ve signed up to receive your posts via e-mail now. Thanks for sharing this lovely table at the lake. Thanks also for visiting my blog and taking time to leave a comment. I really decided to join that party in the eleventh hour, so the post was very quickly done. Hope you have a great week!

Loved your inspiration of the vintage seed graphics! Those doggie cupcakes are unbelievable and the rest of the table is just amazing. This was a fantastic post…now I am off to look it over again.
I had the same thought about your neighbors. This is one of my all-time favorite tablescapes. I love every aspect. That vintage seed box filled with those gorgeous vegetables, the linens, the bunny, and the cupcakes are extraordinary. I so admire your photography skills that bring all of the tinest details to us. The grandkids are coming soon. I’ve just got to try making those garnishes for the cupcakes.
How cute are those cupcakes? The tablescape is gorgeous as always. hugs, olive

Love the bunny and the seed box is such a great piece. The veggies are gorgeous also. Beautifully done. Everything is just stunning. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
Hoped over from TTT. I covet your seed box! My sister has one and has agreed to sale it to me when she is ready. Her daughter paid $5 for it at a yard sale. Found one in an antique store but they wanted $175. Your garden gloves are so sweet and add just the right touch. How darling are those cupcakes? So very creative! Thanks for the instructions. I am for sure going to make them sometime in the future!
Mary, sorry to be late to your lakeside garden table. Glad you saved me a cupcake. These are too cute for words. You never disappoint! The veggie decor on the cupcakes almost looks real. I’ve never even heard of midgees. I’m going to look for these, though I’d never get creative like this. Every detail of this setting is FUN. Thanks! ~ Sarah
Goodness gracious! First your lovely tablescape and photos of the scenery abounds with beauty…and then you top it all off with your wonderful cupcake creations! LOVE the peas in the pods!!!
