Mary, What a great party! Congratulations to Carolyn for being IN THE PINK!
Dear Mary,
This couldn’t have come at a better time! My friend too, just recently completed chemotherapy for breast cancer. I was planning on having she and 5 other ladies at our lake place for a weekend in September and was beating myself up trying to think of some type of theme, and now I have it! Thank you for all of your posts, as I have been inspired from the first one I read last week (I’m hooked!). You truly have been blessed w/a gift from God.
pink is beautiful and a very healthy color
So glad that your friend is doing well! She looks beautiful and this is a fun party! You in that pic?:@)
Lynn, She’s as beautiful inside as out! I’m taking the photo which is where I prefer to be :)
Congratulations to Carolyn for being “In the Pink!” Great news to celebrate…the theme, the refreshments, the flowers and the gift bags are all wonderful! Here is to “Being in the Pink!”
I am so happy for your friend, Carolyn, that she is IN THE PINK!!!!! The gifts, drinks and food all look wonderful, and i am sure you had a hand in the presentation. What a wonderful thing to celebrate!!!!! XO, pinky
PS> Congrats to Carolyn- bet she’s tickled PINK to be done w/chemo!
A beautiful party, a beautiful home and a most beautiful honoree! Congratulations to your dear friend. 1 out of every 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Let’s all celebrate Carolyn’s life by having a mammogram every year!
What great, celebratory news! So happy for your friend. I could have used that popsicle in the drink today.
Awesome celebration! Loved the food, drink and favors! Very creative!
Mary, this is definitely news to celebrate! All the pink treats and favors are perfect for the occasion. I love to serve those little Sofia champagnes too. I used them for a bridesmaid luncheon I hosted recently. It was a a casual picnic style lunch for the girls as they were getting hair and makeup done for the wedding that evening.
Soooooo are you in this photo? I’ve never seen a photo of you!!!

Sarah~ No, I prefer to be behind the camera rather than in front of it :)
I just love this post, Mary! What a wonderful reason to celebrate, and what an awesome way to do it. I love every detail, and I stand with you and applaud Carolyn for her grace and courage and God for bringing her to this other side of cancer.
Congratulations Carolyn!!
What a lovely thing to do. I would have enjoyed something like this so much, and again, and (alas), AGAIN! I think I spent so much time consoling other people during my cancer trifecta that I didn’t take the time to care for myself.
YAY for Carolyn! So glad to hear that she’s on the road to health again. Like many of us, I’ve had people close to me face the same challenge. I’m sure she truly appreciates all of you, as much as you appreciate her. Here’s to the healing power of true friendship. –Lucinda
What a beautiful party for a stunning woman. Glad she is healthy. Love all the pink and the Sophia. Sophia Grace would be proud! Wish Mary was in the pic!!
What a great celebration to life and friendship.
Dear Mary,
I am blessed to have such great Friends. You and Annie were so thoughtful to want to do this for me. It does take a team to get one through this and I was lucky to have had this team playing for me.
You had the perfect menu for a hot NC afternoon. The fruit bars in the Proseco were a huge hit and the refreshments were delicious and perfectly presented in sweet little glasses. How can I possibly thank these beautiful women for all the prayers and loving support I was given during my illness.
Gorgous photos Mary. Thank you both again for creating this beautiful memory for me. With Love, Carolyn NC
How sweet to have a party for your friend. So glad she is in the pink.

This post is just what I needed to see! I’m so happy to read this good news about your friend, and the way in which you and her other friends celebrated. I’m taking notes so that I’m ready when Brenda comes through to the other side of treatment.

Have a wonderful week.
Hi Mary,
What wonderful news for Carolyn and her family! It looks like she has a great group of supportive friends who are really happy to see her “In the Pink.” This is a such a festive and colorful table. I love the fruit centerpiece, and the cute gift bags, ribbons and labels. I also love the beautiful pink flowers, as it’s one of my favorite colors.
