A Just Because Arrangement. . .
Because the hydrangeas are moments away from being frost nipped . . .
Because pumpkin season is coming to a close. . .
Because I found a missing urn. . .
Because the light was exceptional. . .
Because I had some leftover flowers. . .
Because fall leaf beauty is fleeting. . .
Because the lowly seed pod needs celebrating. . .
Because The Novel Bakers return on

So Pretty!
Simply stunning Mary~you are a master at creating these abundant arrangements! I am looking forward to another special week with the Novel Bakers and this beautiful book is sure to be full of wondrous things. It looks so happy laying on the bed of leaves and ferns…

Put something in the oven…..I’m on my way over!!
Just gorgeous!
Nice tribute to the end of pumpkin season! Beautiful arrangement . On another note I am making your potatoe gratin next week. Trial run before thanksgiving ! Yum!
Gorgeous tribute to fall! You tease, You! Now I need to read the Forest Feast!
Delightful. Thanks so much for delivering beauty to my day.
Exquisite! Are you a professional florist?
Thank you, no just an enthusiast :)
Headed outside with clippers NOW!
So BEAUTIFUL! I tried to pin the book for our new cover for the nbs and I can’t… please add this beauty in! I always have white flowers at the beach, you have me rethinking that now… love the video, excellent addition. I kept mine simple, just because I can tell you didn’t!
Lovin’ the pops of blue! Have a great weekend Mary:@)
Just because….I love the details of the hydrangea blossoms & the leaves too; as well as the details of the lantana leaves–the hint of burgundy around their scalloped edges. Just because….I love little pumpkins!
Thank you for the visual pleasure this cold morning!
Absolutely beautiful !
Oh Mary!! I wish I could steal this arrangement & freeze it until Turkey day. I’m planning on using my Blue Willow dishes this year, along with orange accents & this would be PERFECT as my centerpiece. No more hydrangeas available up here…they’re all frozen & covered with snow. :-( However, the rest of the arrangement is doable for me, I think. Thanks again for all the inspiration you provide!!!!!!
STUUUNNNNING. I want this in my house RIGHT NOW! xoxo, A
Opulent. Rich. A feast for the eye. Thank you
Reading your posts is the highlight of my day! You inspire me!!
STUNNING! I would have never thought to add blue to the arrangement and it absolutely makes the arrangement! Brilliant as always Mary!!
Yay!…can’t wait! See you Monday!
Absolutely GORGEOUS!
Thank you for such wonderful “eye candy” to wake up to. You always put a smile on my face…everyday!!! Such a master of design!!
Wow …just stunningly gorgeous!
Miss Bloomers
Hi Mary, I can’t believe you still have hydrangeas in bloom — with their original color. I think all the hydrangeas around here have turned to muted fall colors. This is the most beautiful arrangement; it makes my heart go pitter patter. :) I wouldn’t give our first-born son or Duncan, but I would give a LOT to be able to arrange flowers, leaves, fruit, and berries like you do. You really make the most gorgeous, natural-looking arrangements, Mary! I’m in awe. I’m glad you found your missing urn.
The light has been lovely, hasn’t it? Thanks for sharing this with us — hope you have a great weekend!
Big hugs,
Denise
Mary….your email is ALWAYS the first one I open……I sooooo enjoy seeing all the stunning pictures you post, not to mention all the wonderful ideas you give me!
Thanks so much….Joyce
Always delightful. Ever creative with God’s natural bounty!!
Mary, thank you for sharing the beautiful fall bounty!
The last Hurrah for Fall colors….Absolutely stunning!
Mary, what are the reddish shinny berries that can bee seen in the 1st and 3rd photo? …and the green berries / seed pods towards the bottom of the arrangement?
Thanks Sonia! They are Hypericum Berries, they come in lots of colors and the green are lantana that have gone to seed :)
Exquisite photos! You have truly honored the colors of this special season. You need to publish a book of photos (or have you already and I’m too much of a newbie to know?)
Have a great weekend. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
Wow Mary, I love your Just Because arrangement! What a gorgeous display of colors for us to feast on until the Forest Feast arrives on Monday.
Happy weekend!
So very beautiful….
Gorgeous!
Gorgeous “just because” arrangement!….Cannot believe your hydrangeas are still blooming so beautifully!
Very pretty !
Perfection, Mary!!
GREAT arrangement. Special and so YOU! I love “just because” arrangements.
Is there anything more beautiful than blue hydrangeas? Gorgeous Mary, as always!
Beautiful…thanks for sharing!
Mary, Your “just because” arrangement is gorgeous! I always LOVE your eye for choosing materials..Lantana and it’s berries, leaves, and mix of fruit and flowers, and your GIFT of arranging it all.
Stunning!
What a beautiful way to spend a Sunday! It’s dark and rainy today, and I’m drinking in your stunning arrangement, brilliant leaves and the wee pumpkins. I hadn’t seen the video–what a treat! See you tomorrow!
It may be just because, but honestly, it is stunning. You always inspire me!
I’m such a fan of “lantana!!” I love “squeezing the seeds” and it is thee freshest scent…your creation is just perfection!! franki
Beautiful perfection, as always! You COULD be aprofessional floral designer. Exquisite. LOVE the hydrangeas, ours have been “frost nipped” it was 24 Sat. night on our way home:(
G-o-r-g-e-o-u-s!!!!!!!! Every flower here is dead as a doornail. We got down to 6 degrees last night…in NOVEMBER!!! I don’t know what the heck is up with this crazy polar vortex, but it needs to turn around and go back where it came from. This is crazy!!! I REALLY feel for the folks up in the Buffalo, NY area! I have a friend there, and she texted to say it is truly frightening!
Enjoy those blooms and have a wonderful week!
