Trick or Treat..smell my feet….give me something good to eat! I wait for this exciting generous day each year…..for Halloween is my favorite holiday. I have several favorite treats! One is to make a batch of brownies…ice them and cut them into individual squares….and top with a ghost peep….so precious! Mary, I agree with you! We could all benefit from a little escape these days! All of the Halloween displays you shared are precious, and the treats you shared look both festive and yummy. You brought back a flood of memories this morning. When I was a little girl, after I was finished trick or treating my grandmother would host a Halloween party for my cousins and I. It was so much fun! As we were leaving the party, she would give each of us a treat bag filled with Cracker Jacks, candy bars, and fruit. When my kids were little, I carried on the same tradition of hosting them for a little Halloween party after trick or treating. Oh, how I miss that! Thanks so much for sharing all of this Halloween fun with us. You most certainly made me smile this morning. Enjoy your day, sweet friend!

What a wonderful spooky post you have done this year. Rod and Rowena have made an early visit and the pups look extra cute. I have got all my Halloween up and enjoying every bit of it. I have been collecting since I was a little girl. My Mom and Grandmother loved it and every time we went to the dime store we had to get Halloween Candles and paper decorations to decorate the windows and candy mellow creams with all the fall shapes in it. I have set up my skeleton in the lawn chair in the yard already at the picnic table waiting for anyone grilling. He is a party animal with his straw hat and pumpkins. I can’t wait for more of your posts.

Like you, give me the whimsy for this holiday, not the scary or gruesome. Rod and Rowena definitely offer that wonderful sophisticated touch of whimsy you are the master of. I’m impressed that they are ageless, eleven years later! Absolutely no wrinkles or sagging skin!!!

Oh man there are so many treats I love! Anything with peanuts…Snickers, Recess Peanut Butter Cups, Mr. Goodbar and Big Hunk or Look Bars. While I’m at it I have to say I’m sad about the way things have shrunk in size…a Nuddy Buddy Icecream cone is about half the size that it used to be and there are hardly any peanuts on the chocolate coating anymore! I guess a person just has to eat two…lol.
My favorite candy is Reese’s peanut butter cups, but Rolo, the creamy caramel , is a very close second.

I love Halloween because I can buy as much candy “guilt free” and people think it’s for Tricker Treaters.! Nobody knows! Good gracious almighty. What a post on so many levels. WOW! Well golly, hrm. I think every single thing could be pinned but the first one I wanted to pin was that cute vintage card reproduction pic. I love those era cards and post cards so much. My fav trick-or-treat beggar’s night treat is without any hesitation – anything Resee. ESP the pumpkin shaped ones that are so fresh this time of year. My fav fall homemade treat would be maybe peanut butter cookies – cute idea making them into “witch’s hats.” Next thing is thank you for this incredibly generous giveaway. I am gob-smacked. Every single thing would be a delight to win (especially thinking of my 8 year old grand girl involved!) The only thing not right for us is we don’t have dogs and the only dog we had in the family – my other daughter – lost her sweet Derby ♥ last year. My daughter hasn’t recovered yet to rescue another. She needs a bit of time, it was rough.
Lastly of course I am a follower – EVERYONE should be.

My favorite Halloween candy is Halloween bark with chocolate, vanilla, chopped nuts, sprinkles, and orange colored melting candy swirled on the choc and vanilla. I have made this for years. Gotta scoot -my broom is turbocharged today!!!

The candy corn is probably my favorite and most memorable. I remember enough to almost get sick from it but I was already for the next Halloween when I could get some more! I still like it but a small handful is about all I can eat these days! Thanks for showing all of your decorations and links. I know that takes a lot of time.
