Absolutely inspiring…..I love picnics!!! :D Truly, there is something so special about packing a hamper and heading out on a picnic!
Where did you get that adorable little basket with the ruffles! I love it, Mary! Great post!
Wow, what amazing looking picnics! You really do it up so beautifully, Mary. Every thing looks so delicious and appetizing. Maybe we’ll have a picnic this summer. It’s been a long time since we have. Blessings, Pamela
Help! So much eye candy here I don’t know where to start! I love re-posts because there is always so much to see in your photos and vignettes! I am going to have to come back later and read them all thoroughly again. In the meantime, that photo of the marinated shrimp and cocktail glass is beyond stunning! What a great way to start the week, Happy Picnic Day!
Love a picnic, but you’ve elevated the idea to a whole new level. During our sailing days on our Hyacinths, I packed many a picnic when we’d head out for a day on the lake. It was always a challenge to think of easy, but attractive ways to present food. Wish I had had some of your ideas way back when. ;-)
Thanks for the look back at all these delightful meals in a basket! ~ Sarah
Wow what a great post. I love all the different picnics. You are so creative!
I want to go on a picnic right now….. The pictures are great, now we need the recipes to those yummy dishes.
Have a great week Mary.

I fondly remember many of these, but I just can’t remember ever seeing that holder for the flutes in the first photo. What a COOL idea! Gun to my head to pick my favorite? Uh….well, go ahead & pull the trigger, ’cause there’s no way I could pick just one!!! :-)
this is truly the best of the best, i adore every single one of your posts, but these all stood out the most for me, especially when you did the picnic on the island… so many wonderful books inspired in there too.
i am at the beach now and scott comes mid week, he said lets plan on having a picnic if the weather holds, wind is ferocious here so often you can rarely expect a calm evening by the sea, but i have been trying to think of a creative menu, duh, all i have to do i look here… last night the sea and air was like glass, i watched 3 whales for hours i think asleep just blowing off steam. i am only hoping our picnic will be so lucky to look like any of these~
good book alert, mrs kennedy and me, loved it, by her secret service agent.

You sure know how to plan a picnic, everyone of them are so inviting, even right down to the neat little toothpicks!(where ever do you find those?)! You truly inspire me to make even a picinic special, hopefully warmer weather is right around the corner!

OK, I’ll have a BBQ Sundae in a Jar, and some marinated shrimp, please. Too soon for picnics here, but never too early to plan menus for them, is it?

Oh I just love all of these wonderful ideas. How fitting to read this on a beautiful spring day! Thanks for sharing.
We have a Jeep, but it is much more “rustic” looking, LOL! I need to remember to try some jar meals the next time we spend the day on the road in it.
