Happy Sunday!
Here’s a weekend waterview from Lake Norman.
After several wet and blustery days, we’re forward to a
‘nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina’ kind of week!
I have to confess that a high of 70 has more appeal to me than temps in the 80s.
Bridal Wreath Spirea has been beautiful this spring . . .
Our Snowball Viburnum by the water has been beautiful this spring. . .
The only snowballs you want to see in April!
Snowball Viburnum flowers start out green and turn a snowy white in about a week’s time.
The blooms are starting to fade after a wet and stormy week.
April is typically when the azaleas peak here. . .
The pink is so vivid, it almost hurts your eyes to look at it.
Our resident Great Blue Heron is always fishing by the shoreline or from the dock.
Their wingspan is around 6 feet allowing them to cruise at 20 to 30 miles an hour.
Lola and Sophie enjoyed a little chair time and sunshine on Saturday
after being indoors most of the week.
Lola say she hopes you’re enjoying some beautiful spring weather where you are!
🐾 🌞
Happy Weekend. ♥
Thank you for your visit!
We’ll see the 81° today and then 70s the rest of the week, but apparently more rain. 🙄 Sitting by the water is so appealing. Enjoy this weather while you can! Happy Sunday.
It was a wild weather week for us. The wind was horrific, but this week’s forecast should be lovely! The wind and rain wreaked havoc on my snowball and spirea. Lovely photos, Mary. Happy Sunday 💛
Mary, I always know that if I need to step back from the world’s daily troubles, I can come to your website and relax with your lake views and soak in the joys of seeing your beautiful flowers. I have to admit that I’m a bit jealous of those gorgeous bird houses you have! They add so much visually to your yard and I’m sure your feathered friends love them too. 😉

Beautiful blue skies and lake Mary! I think the flowers this spring have been more beautiful than I remember, especially the Snowball Viburnum I’ve seen bursting out all over! I’m glad the girls are enjoying a nice warm sunbath. Love the photos of your resident blue heron, especially the in flight capture. Have a wonderful sunny Sunday!

So pretty – Tell my Favorite Brother-In-Law that I said ‘hello’…

Beautiful post! I love my snowball and my blue heron Hery lol.
Your flowering plants are gorgeous. My roses are blooming like crazy. If only summer heat didn’t have to follow spring’s bounty…
My snowball bushes and double file viburnum have been amazing this spring.A
A. great daffodils spring but not so much for my tulips and dogwoods. If we can avoid a late frost looks to be a good Hydrangea bloom. The lake pictures are lovely. Our Osprey and Hummingbirds are back like clockwork and I will have to checkout the Heron cookery nearby to see their progress. Nature is so wonderful.
What a beautiful Sunday! Weather perfect at our little beach house in Fl. Lows in the 60s and highs in the 70s. Quite a switch from the rain and wind in north Ga. Plants blooming and birds singing.
Looks just lovely for you and your family on Lake Norman! The azaleas are beautiful and I wish I had a bouquet of your snowball viburnum!!
I am enjoying beautiful springtime, Mary, and sitting by my waterfall right now. Your views are so heavenly with all the blossoms in their glory. Sophie and Lola must be loving the sunshine, too. Enjoy your next week in Carolina!❤️
Such pretty flowers. I’ve never seen chairs with the backs like that, so neat
So beautiful! Our trees and tulips are in bloom now.
It always amazes me at how far ahead you are weather wise….Chicagoland is just starting to bud out….basically no flowering bushes yet! Crazy, gorgeous photos, and thanks for sharing and making me jealous, LOL. Sandi
So much beauty in your pictures! Our azaleas and dogwoods are finished already. Always sad to see them go, but that brings the promise of the hydrangeas and peonies to begin blooming. We are 7b in AR. It’s been a warm and at times rainy spring.
Lola and Sophie are enjoying the sunshine! I love seeing them so relaxed. Pets really do enhance your life! The blue heron is fun to see. Your blooms are magnificent! They’re prolific and colorful. We’re going to have hydrangea blooms this year after not having any last year so I’m excited! I always enjoy your weekend water view posts! Clara ❤️
You so live the good like, adore the garden with a backdrop of blue water, ❤❤❤🐾
